Hmm actually all I do for making money is to get my bonus to 200% and then playing the Seasonal Events until I get gold Trophy. I have now more than 5 millions credits and already unlocked the tuning trophy for 2+ million credits spent, but I am still at International B. The truth is I have spent most money on tuning and I am using 90% of the time the gold trophy unlocked cars and Vision Mercedes to win the races. But I think you meant 2,000,000 creds and not 200,000. Then I can understand why you have issues, I had issues with that in GT5, but I just run good sponsored B-Spec races to get more money while working at home office. This cannot be applied to GT6 unfortunately . I will comment more when I decide to play game more and get into S license races as well.

I don't know Malc if I can get you to agree with my perspective and embrace various social issues that would be a huge victory. As I mentioned before sometimes its just about giving someone a different perspective, so now next time you buy a game maybe you buy a game a game that doesn't objectify women...small steps Malc ...small steps...."Rome wasn't built in a day" Bruce, the biggest problem is, that we are multicultural bunch. What is considered as objectification in one country is considered as completely normal and in some cases even endorsed by women/minorities... Sorry to say that, but I really do not consider and never will consider bigger boobs in a game/movie/comic as an objectification... believe it or not, I have some female friends with bigger boobs than Lara Croft in Tomb Raider 2... natural boobs, just so you know :D Looking for me on big or small cups in an entertainment media does not affect my thinking about women at all, because for a girlfriend I always pick a girl with smaller cups. I just find smallcupped girls more attractive and not even 200 hours long hungarian porn session can change my preferences on boob/ass/intelectual properties of women or how I respect and treat women... And a game can not change that as well... I play games because they are not real, and I do not have problem nor am I troubled if someone uses sometimes politically incorrect jokes... Because I am from Slovakia, a country which joined EU only few years ago, lot of people in online guilds which I was part of, made jokes about me being from third world country... I was having fun with that, and most of the time, I joined the fun to add some more funny stories from my country to spice up the fun... It really looks to me last few years, that people nowadays are doing everything to make comedy/parody/jokes as something outrageous, and should be avoided in modern society at all costs... Thanks for explaining your position on this topic, you make some good points as usual I would like to respond but I can only do this tomorrow Sure no worries looking forward to it. I like this board, because man can have meaningful and intelligent discussion here, even with people with opposite view on some topics (of course not counting discussion about NWN with Volo, that case is lost ). It's hard to find internet boards with that attitude... And one more thing I forgot to add to my previous post, or more like, it sparkled in my mind at later hour For some reason, I really do not know why, but in real life I feel outraged, when some lady acts as true damsel in distress. But in games, I do not mind that concept at all. I have enjoyed few games where you have to save the "girl" from harm... In real life... I would probably not touch woman acting like damsel in distress even by 10' pole... And this is just one another example how different I see virtual worlds from the real one, in which I spent most of my daily life

Yes, I know. But still I think it is wrong... but who am I to judge or try to change that behaviour

Some people have expressed worries or discontent when Microsoft paid Machinima users for "secretly" promoting XBOX One... Here is a similar report involving AAA giant: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/01/electronic-arts-also-paying-youtubers-to-promote-games/

So looks like, you can be locked out of your games because of DRM, if you use specific ISPs... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/01/unknown-issue-locks-bt-internet-customers-out-of-their-ubisoft-games/

Hmm for some reason when I read "realistic" game, except maybe Gran Turismo driving mechanics, it just drives me away. I have enough of realism every day at work. Or maybe I just love to shoot fireballs out of my ass in virtual reality Same goes for realistic simulation or realistic graphics...

This is the same complaint I have about GRID and GRID2. They constantly place you at or near the back of the pack and the races aren't long enough that I can wait to pick and choose my passing locations, like I would were this a real race (and I a real race car driver). On the higher difficulty settings you simply cannot afford to wait for good passing opportunities because the lead pack will be so far ahead of you half a lap into a 3 lap race that it will be physically impossible for you to catch up to them and you can forget about a podium finish. So what I am forced to do is stuff the car in kamikaze style in the first couple corners and pray the bounces go my way and I don't wind up spun out. The vast majority of the times I get spun out and I have to restart the race. Lather rinse repeat an average of 10 times or so until I get the miracle start I need to have a chance. That's not racing, that's rolling the dice and frustration. There is no skill involved it's the racing equivalent of save scumming. Save scumming is not fun. Someone who understand my pain! I have to drive like suicidal maniac, ram cars and totally toast my cars tires to have a chance to win, this has nothing to do with racing. Hmm, strange, I actually find the game very easy compared to every other game in the series... In most of the cases, when I pick the car around the recommended PP Limit, I am at first place before finish of the first lap, only exception are One Make races, because I get on the first place at 2nd or 3rd lap... The most fun for me are actually mission races, driving license, Goodwood events and the online events Time Trials... I have not tried online racing yet, coz I think I suck a lot... Anyway, decided in Star Ocean to try and craft the last item I needed for Crafting Trophy, after killing Ethereal Queen two times in a row after 5 hours with no way to save my progress, my PS3 decided to freeze... I do not know what happened to me, but I had not gone berserk, I just restarted the console, started SO4 again and crafted another gear to get 55,555 damage Battle Trophy for Edge, and have gone to bed, fully satisfied with the progress O.o Few years back I would probably had kicked Dual Shock out of window :D

Youtube is currently blocked where I am now, but if I am correct, you must be linking to the one of the most memorable gaming cut-scenes ever created, featuring Sephiroth and Aerith. For me it was shock, because that lady was really among my favourite characters in FF7... Not again I was able to be affected so much by a single plot-twist in an entertainment media... 2nd closest was the ending of FFX. I must confess it was partially expected, but it made me so sad, that it brought tears to my eyes... To bad not many games nor movies in last few years can make such a deep emotional impact...

The few times mentioned Blackguards released few days ago on GOG as well. If DRM free release may spark your interest more than Steam release

This is absolutely true. There are lots of people that don't consider DRM a bad thing either (to use an example that I hope resonates a bit more closely for you). I hope you can understand that this means that your position on DRM is not irrelevant, simply because others don't share it. I think u misunderstood my position on this "issue"... Just to make it clear, I find it ridiculous that some people are finding insulting when some fictional character wears bigger cups as much as i find ridiculous that people are crying that changing cups two sizes smaller is immersionbreaking issue... I love in games I play big variety of characters, personalities and tropes, therefore I prefer to play Japanese games, because in contrast to most of the western games, I do not feel like attending a sausage party overflowing with testosterone EDIT: But although I see these two groups both as ridiculous, I do not see their oppinions as irrelevant... I only think, that if these two groups are unable to come to some rational compromise, it will greatly affect the variety of artstyle out of our beloved entertainment medium...

One of the good examples how to solve piracy issues in lower income per capita countries: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/01/where-movie-makers-and-former-pirates-are-starting-to-get-along/

@ Bruce Of course I overexagerated that, but believe it or not, there are lot of women who do not consider big boobs in games as objectification of their gender, as there are many men who do not consider sixpacks as objectification of their gender
-
Yes, because we are talking about oversized labias and especially clitori and the wet pants that female game characters have. "sign" ....its a called an analogy. I was demonstrating what for most men would be the objectification of themselves in games No, the whole point is trying to equalise to different things. Big breasts in video games are analogous to massive arms, pecs and sixpack abs on (almost all) male characters. And Mario... I hear you but I still think that massive breast's has a sexual objectification that is not quite the same as good arms or pecs for a man. But we can agree to disagree on this one I have to comment on this one... I have few female friends which consider sixpacks and big muscles as much bigger sexual objectifications of men, than most of men on these boards are thinking about big boobs as objectification of women And one question. My current assistant at work, which plays videogames has bigger boobs, than most of the female characters I have ever seen in videogames... Should she feel outraged too, that she cannot play a female characters which fully represent her body type? And to Alan... Mario is japanese character. Japanese developers shown in the past much more flexibility than their western counterparts, when it goes about depicting various body types and character types or trying to keep away from typical stereotypes. As an example for all could be used Drakensang series...

I thought TERA had that covered? Having a competition is always good!

If you have Osmos then play that for a bit. It's one of the most chill games I've ever played. Hmm, don't know that game, decided to play Atelier Ayesha for a while and then go sleep :D. Ayesha is less addictive than the previous three Arland Ateliers, which is for me a positive thing. I am able to go to sleep before 5 am that way :D Will be playing GT6 again today for a while, but no hard missions for today, just the easier races
-
I played today Gran Turismo 6 again, tried to get gold in all missions in International B challenge... I ended up driving more than 230kms before I was able to finally get gold after four hours spent on Mission IB-3... The game is slowly getting pretty steep in difficulty, but it is still easier than Gran Turismo 5... I should get some break with some easygoing game until all the adrenaline gets out of my body...

I hear you but I would still prefer a weapon ( those pig men need to die), it can still be very scary and tense with a weapon. For example what about striking a balance between a FPS and a game like Amnesia where you have a weapon but only 12 bullets? You should play first Alien vs. Predator game on hardest difficulty... That's the game you are craving for...

Finished Atelier Meruru few days ago. Due to the time limit I was unable to kill the hardest Ultra Boss, so probably will go for him my next playthrough sometimes this year. At the moment I am alternating between Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo 6, Star Ocean 4 and Atelier Ayesha. Thinking about finally finishing my NG + of Demon's Souls, but I kind of got stuck on last boss
-
Started to play Atelier Meruru after 8 months of break... Surprisingly I remember most of the stuff... The game is pretty addictive. Killed 2 trophy bosses and one optional last evening. I built a statue for myself, which in exchange unlocked leveling beyond level 50.

BTW: Planet Alcatraz was heavily cut and censored from original Russian version. If you know Russian Language, search for "Санитары подземелий" you might find that game for sale somewhere.
