  1. yeah , kinda remind me of old diablo . But some of the 'negative review' kinda say it's limited when it come to customization and such .
  2. People keep saying the gods were created, but the actual process was merging thousand of Engwithans souls together and souls are a repository of memories. My guess is that Berath was(are) the Engwithan(s) who created and built the Wheel before being granted apotheosis. Which means that Berath should know how to repair it... if she does..what does she gain letting Eotha do the breaking the wheel down? Unless she use the knowledge to blackmail the gods , or use the knowledge to control the mortal who will rebuild it in a way that will give her an edge or advantage...... Or keep the knowledge..and give up the job she has ? and become something that don't rely on the wheel maybe?
  3. She's a cipher who can talk telepathically Some people are starting to see potential romances around every corner it seems. and what's wrong with that ? Vromance are Great!
  4. follow here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99466-free-dlc-the-rum-runners-pack-coming-next-week/
  5. You mean, the Watcher telling them to do something? I haven't picked those options outside the one where Woedica gets pissed at you for insulting her and she goes for the kill...but Berath looks at her and she stop midway and then the discussion shift to someone else. Berath doesn't participate much in the "what can we do" discussions from what I remember, she mostly says "it's too late for that now" and "the Watcher is our best option". you should test it.. right now you are mah best walking talking Library on Berath...pretty plz with cherry on top!
  6. If you want to believe the story is badly written because you want it to be badly written, go ahead. I won't stop you. But I have no problem to theorize that Berath sent the Watcher to talk to Eothas to placate the other gods from doing something early and make sure they don't have enough time to stop Eothas in the end. Rymrgand knew what Eothas was trying to do. Rymrgand only "ally" among the gods is Berath. Eothas plans was to destroy Berath's Wheel. Berath's reaction is *shrug*. If you pick the "power up a god" ending Eothas power up Berath. Berath has an amazing poker face too. question: Does urging the Gods to do something during those meeting with them...does Berath say anything?
  7. not nothing...keeping the others gods from doing something would be the best way to help Eotha and convince them that the watcher will do something .
  8. The Most important thing for me would be THE STORY . I can forgive ALOT in a game , I can let bug slide , I can forgive crashing , I can forgive crappy gameplay , crappy Loot , crappy Armors , crappy side quest... But screw me in STORY and that's it . I don't care if you have the best combat system! I don't care if everything shine brighter then the sun on Steam or your review is 100/100 . The story is the meat , without it....I have no interest . Oh sure , I play others genre like strategy and such . But I'm talking RPG here . I love a Good story , so yeah for me that is the most important thing . The 2nd most important thing is : GENDER . For some peoples it's a no issue . For me , it's . I have been playing games since the Atari and since then I think I played enough games where I'm a dude . Nowday I like to play as my gender . Thank you kindly . The 3rd most important thing is : VROMANCE . I like romance , I'm against race gated romance , and orientation Limitation . I believe if a character suck , it suck cose how it's written not cose he is Labeled X . Period . The 4th important things is : The small little things , that often are added in the 1st game then neglected later in a sequel . For exemple : Background , traits , personality , class actions we can take . Believe it or not , in an RPG these stuff add up and spice up a game . They are fun ! You want your players to have fun ! The 5th important thing which is tied to story actually , is THE ENDING . Seriously , some games just shove this boring ending and then act all shocked when peoples are pissed . Believe it or not , some peoples want that Unicorn and rainbow ending! The one game that to me had the BALANCED ending like was Jade Empire , where you had the Goody ending , the 'You screw up ending ' and the 'You are totally evil ending ' .
  9. did you play it ? is it good?
  10. I don't know if you would care for this kind of game... but the story is MINNNNNNNNNND BLOWING! Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/290770/The_Fall/
  11. Err...I'll do my best to explain this, I apologize in advance of it is unhelpful. Berath is the god of cycles and death. Berath's portfolio would be concerned with the cycle of reincarnation (of which death must be a part) and therefore serves as the patron/matron of The Wheel. While this would tangentially involve "life" as a part of the cycle of death and reincarnation, Berath has very little, if anything, to do with life and is more focused on death and the cycle of reincarnation. Eothas is the god of light and redemption, renewal and rebirth. Eothas' portfolio has very little to do with death and is more concerned with redeeming the wicked, renewing the decrepit and rebirth from death. Rebirth being both figurative and literal. Guan, an aspect of Eothas, is concerned with death as simply a part of rebirth. While Berath would treat death is a cold inevitability and nothing more than a part of the cycle of reincarnation, Gaun would treat death as a thing not to be feared or dreaded but the prerequisite for rebirth from which redemption and renewal can arise. While similar, they are different. that almost make it look like Eotha would be stealing soul from berath and vice versa.... Thanx for explaining it more...I got a clearer idea of berath now .
  12. Life in death and death in life, innit? The whole cyclical aspect of life and death, not just death. Just death of everything is more like Rymrgands thing, innit? wait a minute..isn't she the god of death only? where does it say she is death and life ? "Berath is depicted in the form of two semi-skeletal figures - one male, one female - Bewnen i Ankew and Ankew i Bewnen - literally, Life in Death and Death in Life in the Glanfathan tongue" Literally from an in-game book about Berath. "The Many faces of Berath" life in death and death in life...what's that even mean ?! Confusing! weird when you pick berath you only get this : "Berath is the god of death, doors, and the wheel of reincarnation itself. Portrayed as either a genderless deity or twinned male and female incarnation, Berath seldom speaks with their followers. Their priests are expected to be rational and unemotional, treating death with a dispassionate dignity." which seem to go 'Berath is about death! deaaaaaaath always death! Honestly, it feels that both Berath and Eothas are a BIT redundant. They both deal with life and death and the whole cyclical rebirth nonsense, the main difference being that Berath is life and death but MOOOOSTLY death and Eothas is life and death (death in the form of Gaun, i guess) but MOOOOOSTLY life. could Berath be Gaun ?

  15. I don't know Onekaza, can I? If you'll come with me, I'll happily show you my Junk, it's quite large and well kept but in definite need of a good polishing. ... Also the captain's quarters are kind of snazzy. Did you pick that from DA2 ? cose you just quoted a desire demon word by word !
  16. while the aboves points seem almost right... why would berath do that though ? Isn't she the god of death?
  17. That is what I thought, but after Neketaka docks I never saw another hint of it. Additionally, if Berath had the geas, she never seemed to use or reference it again. My only guess was that when Eothas returned part of your soul at Hasongo, you gained a defense, but the topic never came up again. It felt like a missed opportunity to give the gods a more proactive role in the story, whether that be in the form of Berath enforcing the geas/curse or the gods sending monsters/fanatics after you. Honestly, who does not want to see or fight an effigy of Skaen? man...everyone want a piece of Skaen......I almost feel bad for him Have you tried picking reply (during the talk with the Gods) that are butthurt like..see if they zap you? Just curious... yeah it's . Seem like they are building this stuff for a POE3..and hopefully there will be one .
  18. They try pretty hard at Ashen Maw but it just doesn't work against Eothas. What makes the Watcher special is that Eothas is actually listening to us. I mean not everything we say but he considers our word at least. Gods are probably trying to take advantage of that, not piss us off too much and influence us so we can influence Eothas. That's the feeling I got. that's the impression we get..but then the ending come and you get and do nothing .
  19. Pick one! 1) he was too busy picking on a weakling elsewhere . 2) he doesn't know you moved from drywood , nobody bothered to update your facenuke page yet... 3) connexion in deadfire is static at best....he is still at the Loading screen 4) he is sulking for some reason and will get you in POE3
  20. if using power require them to later having to eat soul to get back to normal...and if they fail and Eotha break the wheel... well..thats like ending with limited ration and too many hungry .
  21. I can't answer everything... but the one about 'Berath control''..it has to do when you start the game . Once you choose your save , Berath put some kind of a geas on you , and say you are her Herald . And I'm guessing that's how she does that scene with the ghost....cose even if I choose any other reply..she force that one .
  22. ''I cannot plant a seed in untilled soil'' . That translate to me as 'enter in a relationship in a world (Untilled soil) that's chaotic (with others faction) . ''I say there are places they cannot go'' as in they can spy on me , in my palace and everywhere else save for in my heart . At least that's how I see it . I prefer to think of them as sexual innuendos. waaaaaaaaaaaay wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too early for that...I need more coffee now..

  24. haven't seen that one... You know what I hate about places like that ? You can never drag those idiot in the fire . Why would I sacrifice my cute companion that I have been using like a mule for all the LOOT ..really ? WHY? If someone say 'You can throw one of them idiot tagging along with you..and get THA PRIZE! Try it!'....No! You go there and candy better fall from the sky!
