  1. The highlighted ones are the ones they've "uncovered" as the cover page. They did Warcraft, then Diablo, Starcraft is tomorrow.
  2. I did beat the game before the patch fixed degredation. It's nowhere near as bad as I figured it would be with condition going down. I keep coming across armor every place I go. I was carrying around a Merc Suit, two bandit suits, and a Stalker suit by the time I hit Bar and I had another bandit suit in storage somewhere in Garbage. I only felt the need to change armor once before that time.
  3. Yes, Warcraft 3 was indeed amazingly disappointing. I'll cut you. Ooh, scary.
  4. "And so Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next Leap...will be the Leap home..."
  5. Too many mindless MMO, that is. I've yet to see a MMO concept that could appeal to adults and not to some asocial teens. The existence of countless adults in World of Warcraft and EVE kind of contradicts what you see, Morgoth. Being adult doesn't mean grown up. WoW doesn't use any adult or compelling themes. It's just, as theslug pointed out, a waste of time and money without any intellectual reward. You forgot to address EVE. Indeed. However he chooses to define "adult or compelling themes," he'll have a hard time excluding EVE with its extensive politics, espionage, betrayal, and space piracy.

  7. You just described Diablo if it had raids. Of course, your description also doesn't account for games like EVE or Planetside. Though, we get it. You don't like RPG-style PvP or playing with groups. Get over your overjustified drivel.

  9. I don't like it because it just gives me another task to worry about. During the section of the game between leaving the starting trader and getting to the bar, it's ridiculous to deal with. Going back to the first trader is a long walk and requires you to either deal with the military camp or go backwards through the electric field (which isn't designed for going through that way). It's just way too long a period of time with your armor about to crap out on you. And I can't carry around several suits of armor. I can hardly carry enough ammo. Spare armor is just going too far! But, since I've already beat it, I guess I should let the purist in me out a bit.
  10. The point of most MMOs isn't to imitate real world systems. The point of a thief can come from something other than thieving. Hence why many of them are called Rogues instead. If MMOs ever really tried to imitate real world systems they would ultimately become as boring as real life. Any law system is ultimately easy to exploit by characters that have nothing to lose. The more everyone has to lose to try to overcompensate for this, the less people become interested in risking, even those not interested in exploitation. The simply solution? Don't overcomplicate the game just for the purpose of pickpocket style thieving.

Except it's not exclusively for Ben. Jack saw his father, Walt could get more out of it than anyone else, Ecko saw his brother, and probably others that I can't think of right now. Why are you thinking it's something for Ben? The place has obviously been around longer than he has. And Jacob's asking Locke for help implies he doesn't like Ben anymore than the rest of them. Though since Ben is the one in a position of power, maybe he's like Walt. Ooh, since Ben wasn't actually born on the island that doesn't explain his tumor. Maybe Jacob gave Ben cancer!
  12. Even Longest Journey had characters move their heads and arms in dialogue scenes. Apparently these forums don't recognize dialogue, either. http://baby-goat.livejournal.com/179361.html
  13. Floodgate made it.
  14. I like Dreamfall it's just really creepy how the characters don't emote even a little in conversations.
  15. I have a mod collection that does this, and ONLY this. It took me a while to get the stuff together because people love to throw in weight, trader, rebalances, and/or repair mods into it. Save this jpg and open it using winrar.
  16. Gamespy's new Left 4 Dead preview: http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/turtle-rock-project/787896p1.html I can not wait.
  17. The Dark Knight was always a ninja. A ninja detective!
  18. So, what is it, you hate Legacy because of Mad Doc and Or you hate Legacy because of Bethesda rushing Mad Doc? The things you cited in the previous post are largely the result of development decisions, not because of rushing.

It's not purgatory. Damon Lindelof, the producer, and others have stated multiple times that it's not purgatory and they're not dead. They didn't find the plane in the real world with them all dead, that was a coverup.
  20. I merely thought Dungeon Siege to be the most soulless piece of crap ever released. But, that's kind of an extreme. I haven't played every game ever released, there might be one that's worse.
  21. I wish I were less awkward around strangers. I never know what to say when someone asks me who I am and what the hell I'm doing in their house. -- Andy Ihnatko

He'll probably heal, but we shouldn't just discount him dying completely. Not all healing on the island is instantaneous, though his spinal damage sure seemed to be.

I saw someone mention that before. It's possible.
  24. They don't pick their transformation modes ahead of time, they pick them based off what is available in the area to replicate. Do you see many Model Ts around?
