  1. Still playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I think I've discovered where the false ending diverges from the real endings. I ain't falling for that trap!
  2. [quote name=>Where's my dinner? Pretty good... and lazy. I had Thai food for lunch. I love Thai.
  3. I would call killing ancient gods "performing trivial tasks." Sure, they respawn, but they do the same when you start a new save in a single player RPG, doesn't mean the last playthrough was trivial. As for actually accomplishing anything, you can accomplish quite a deal in the sandbox games. How's this for accomplishing something? Not just EVE, but when SWG was in its prime there was much to accomplish. Names to make for yourself, player enemies to vanguish and crush beneath your heel.
  4. Jupiter is the Roman counterpart for Zeus. I always think it's interesting to note that another name for Jupiter is Jove, which can correspond with the Jewish Yahweh and Jehova. And Zeus had an affinity for mating with human women, which sometimes resulted in children. I'm just sayin'! Xard: Buddhism is nice. I'm a fan of Shintoism, it's just so nicely fantastic.
  5. Elohim, Allah, Haile Selassie, Shiva, Zeus, Jupiter, the goddess, Gud, Shang Ti, Shen, Tian Zhu, Brahman, Akal Purakh, Ra, Xwede, or Cao Dai might get mad at me if I show favoritism towards your god over them. Also, I feel that accepting Christ might interfere with my path to enlightenment and I will never become Buddha.

    Food: Crab Rangoon (soooooooooooooo gooood)
  7. The combat has a progression. You start off with crappy guns with bad accuracy and then you get better guns with better accuracy.
  8. So far it seems like all optional missions are timed.
  9. So far, this game is largely what I'm hoping the Bethesda Fallout 3 will be like. Only with more skills and a more depserate setting.

  11. Number of contacts in the area. Not sure if it's exclusively neutral contacts or all contacts as I do not pay it that much attention.
  12. I call BS. So, are you saying that you can install a program while using Windows XP compatibility mode? Then you are wrong. You can. If this is about your personal feelings towards me then take it to PM for that is off topic to this poster's problem. How's this for off-topic: lighten up, buddy.
  13. I wish I could. It's hard to rise above a previous experience of being the perfect being.

Movie: Fight Club PC Game: The Longest Journey TV Series: Farscape Book: Things Fall Apart (been so long since I read it, I might just remember it better than it was) Alternative favorite: Lost World Comic Book: DC's Kingdom Come Console Game: Xenogears, followed closely by Final Fantasy VII, then Final Fantasy Tactics.
  16. It's still cheaper than a date.
  17. HadishiNation (my primary forum, private gaming community that has formed through multiple MMO games and their respective forums) Steampowered.com forum (Valve's community forums: I'm a volunteer FAQ reviewer) Telltale game's forums (makers of the Sam & Max episodes, I check in there every now and then) Neverwinter Nights 2 forums (I check in every once in a while)
  18. Yes. Not all religions even have a god.
  19. Legend is coming to Steam and supposedly so is Anniversary!
  20. Yeah, I'm probably going to get it, too. 21st, here I wait.
  21. This actually makes no sense. The developers/publishers/investors are the ones that have put in what is oft multi-million dollars into the development of the game. So, they take steps to protect their investment. You think they're putting in copyright protection to keep people from stealing it from you? Beyond that, have you had a problem with them forgetting to give you the CD?
  22. It was hard for me to be excited about Devil May Cry after I accidentally beat the first one overnight. On one hand, it was awesome that it engrossed me so nonstop all the way through. On the other hand, I did beat it overnight, in one sitting, the first time I tried playing it.
  23. The only thing Starforce checks in registry is a value it puts there as a key. Spyware is software that sends out information about browsing, or other useage, for advertising purposes. I've had troubles uninstalling Starforce too and I've heard unsubstantiated reports about it causing problems with hardware, too. But, neither constitutes spyware. Malware you could make an argument for. The whole argument against copy protection that it's unnecessary because those determined will get around it is silly in my eyes. A determined thief will break into your car or house, but that doesn't mean you leave the doors unlocked.
  24. 2 things to this: 1) Spyware? What spyware? What copy protection scheme involves spyware? 2) This poll mentioned just said protection of copyright. It didn't even mention specific schemes. People voted for absolutely no protection over artists getting paid.
  25. Not quite. Looking at their site, I see something very sad. http://www.star-force.com/protection.phtml?c=83&id=1062 76.25% of people who visited their site believe that copyright needs no protection. 15.7% voted that authors should receive decent payment for their work Wow... just wow.
