Here's a statement I'd really like to take on. How do you know "the game they want to make" is not a Starcraft sequal that appeals heavily to the long term and hardcore fans? The phrase "game they want to make" is a very personal term. Just because they put some ideas out there they think sound neat doesn't mean they're essential elements to it being what they want to make. I think making changes based on community feedback is a greater indicator of what they want to make than simply what they have already made. They want to make a game for the community members they are listening to. Issues of vocal minority included because that's a well known factor all over the internet. Maybe the problem is that they're not quite making a game you want them to make. Perhaps you're wanting a Starcraft sequel that is artistically driven in its design.

Is there a place with a list of these changes?

Maybe we should start to follow some Socialist and Communist ways. People need to think about the great whole and not themselves. Because when people, en masse, act for themselves within reasonable limits, through competing interests they establish niches and operate for a greater group than simply themselves. When a government tries to define the greater interest, it usually only defines the greater interest for the people in government, confines its people to those ends, and results in them acting out in exclusively individual interest. The larger the government is, the more detached from its people it becomes, and the more this problem appears.

Since when did you join the American public? I think that the real issue is that they outsource the military in Lost Planet. Wayne isn't his real name, it's just what he tells people so they think he's American. Just like when I called Charter yesterday and the guy with a bad American accent that didn't completely hide his Indian accent told me his name was "Smokey."

It seems as if the more popular a game is, the greater power the vocal minority is capable of asserting. Their collective power seems to build on a scale that favors a larger number of overall people. Especially since as they grow in number, they drown out the others, and the others stop trying. On these forums the this isn't as apparent and the members of the vocal minority are relatively muted because there's not enough people here to have enough of a vocal minority for them to band together and reinforce each other.

Americans (US citizens, in context) aren't a minority anywhere in the US. Whites are a minority in some places. THERE IS A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE. Being white means being American. But being an immigrant makes it pretty darn certain that you're non-white. Even living in Texas I know this is not true. I've seen significant quantities of *gasp* White! immigrants. Made friends with Canadians, been taught by Germans, etc. Knew a nice white Puerto Rican kid growing up, too.

I have no idea how Sweden sees it. In the US, non-white doesn't automatically make you an "immigrant."

As the unofficial Steam representative to the Obsidian forums with absolutely no power nor weight with any organization involved, I would also like to see an Obsidian Steampowered group. However, I see 2 things going on: 1) Obsidian, if they have one, will have an Obsidian Entertainment group that is private for employees and possibly personal friends. 2) We on the forums can create an Obsidian Entertainment fan group or Obsidian Forum Community group to not be official but otherwise affiliated or associated.
