  1. Silver Surfer for the NES was up there.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G0-T0#G0-T0 See if that helps. According to it, G0T0 felt that the planet had too many priceless artifacts.
  3. Aboot time!
  4. I'm going to have to try the demo. I fear it will run horribly on my current PC. Especially if I want to play at a widescreen res.
  5. I think the media is slow sometimes, which can be very annoying. Case in point: http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...r.2a782847.html There was nothing to be found on this yesterday. I looked. My friend in Denton called me at 5PM to look for him because he'd been without power for 7 and 1/2 hours on the hottest day of the year. Nothing. Newspapers were more concerned with selling the next day's paper than they were about giving the public information in this case. This isn't always the way it goes, but it's damned annoying when it is.
  6. It varies. God does it vary. It varies so much I think the collective "the media" is nonsensical. As "the media" will often present conflicting opinions and degrees of opinions on the same issue. Some of these may serve the public interest, some may not. I think a good question to ask in this debate is "what is the public interest?" As that varies as well.
  7. I was under the impression that Bioshock was a "scary FPS in the vein of Shock2."
  8. Consoles have unique services and games that PCs don't always get. As well as the uniformity that enhances compatability with the games and simplicity for consumers.

    Last meal

Rotini and Alfredo, a French Vanilla capuccino, and an Alagoas Curassow cooked in no particular way. Perhaps some Arakan Forest Turtle soup.
  10. Too bad they were identical in combat. If you send a guy to hack a door, it'll just as likely be Sev as Fixer. If you send someone to snipe, it'll as likely be Scorch as Sev. And you won't notice a difference. About the only one who has a unique feature is Boss with his wristblade.
  11. One thing I like about Ammon Jerro is that he's not misunderstood. No, he's actually a jerk. It didn't turn out he was killing those people to save the world, no he was being a vindictive ass. However, he also wanted to save the world.
  12. Deus Ex: Invisible War has some good endings. None of them are "bad endings." In the sense that they're less interesting than the others or imply failure. Heck, one of the endings where you side with a bad guy seems easily as good as the one where you side with the good guys. I also think it's terrific to note that the good guys in the game are pursuing a course that's so drastic and out there that in any any other game, they would have been the bad guys. And for that it had me doubting them until the very end. All in all, TERRIFIC GAME! A little dumbed down from the last one, regrettably. Most notably in the augmentation department. But the ones present were pretty nice. Domination was awesome. I would run in with my thermal, tag a giant robot, find a hiding place, then mow down all his pals.
  13. If we were to talk about travel, would we only discuss mode and ignore comfort, service, and atmosphere?
  14. Deus Ex: Invisible War I have 3 maxed out regular mods, 2 maxed out black market. What the heck am I supposed to do with my 5 biomod canisters and 2 black market biomod canisters? I mean this more as a silly complaint, but they really should have done more to limit your biomod upgrades. I've been Billy Badass since New Cairo.
  15. And I mean that in the bad, not good, way.

  16. "And I don't see why they hate DR"

I believe the phrase is "pushing your buttons."

  17. How's that for a mind****?

  18. The dude with the pink hair is id. He is Fei's alternate evil personality created because his mother was possessed by Miang and tortured him, he watched her die when she regained control of her body momentarily to save her son's life during a battle between Grafh and Fei's father. Grafh happens to be the evil personality of one of Fei's previous lives and his mere existence also

  19. Lost Planet hasn't been received incredibly because it is literally an arcade game minus the arcade machine. The thermal energy concept is a classical arcade mechanic for getting people to put in extra quarters, just toned down a bit since it didn't end up at arcades. And I think the main reason it's not so well incredibly well received is that it is absolutely mindless. It has about as much chance of being GOTY as Painkiller, as GOTYs usually have to excel in more than one area and appeal to more than a niche crowd, unless the genre does otherwise incredibly poorly that year. Or I could be talking out my butt. I played the demo and thought to myself that the game plays exactly like an arcade game, that Capcom for some reason decided not to put at arcades. IE, not really a gaming meal, but a gaming snack while you're waiting for your movie to start seating.
  20. I liked Ammon Jerro. But only AFTER he becomes a companion. Before he becomes a companion it's idiocy. Not really on his part, but that they seem to expect us to mistake him for the King of Shadows when 1) We see him in an opening movie. 2) He hangs out at Jerro's haven. 3) His name is "Warlock" not "King of Shadows."
  21. hell at least crackdown is better than gta 1 crap game being better than another crap game? TELL ME IT ISN'T SO!
  22. I don't even need to put in the disc for most of my games on my PC. And I've got tons better games than Crapdown.
