  1. I thought the ammo scheme was good. I could just pick the weapon I wanted and didn't have to worry about if the next guy would drop any of what I needed or not.
  2. I weep for your comment section, Omelette. :'(

  3. OH NO! Bioshock got a 9/10 from Gamespot! XBox360 is doooooomed!
  4. Don't need them anyway. But you might see some performance gain.
  5. Oh, screw you nVidia. The control panel isn't working again.
  6. nVidia beta drivers ati hotfix

    Guilty!

It's the same thing as horse racing and craps "culture." People just looking for an excuse to gamble. I imagine there's some interest in it as a sport, but I doubt it's much.
  8. I see what you did there.
  9. I recently replayed it, have played through the original as well, loved it and got none of this feeling you're saying. How do the endings seem rushed? I thought they all seemed relatively better than those in the original Deus Ex.
  10. With the source code, planning materials, and full time employees? Not nearly as long as its taken Gizka. Rough uneducated guess to be about 1/3rd of the time.
  11. I keep hoping I'll see a mac parody ad where the PC guy is wearing a laser tag set, then a bunch of PC guys with laser tag sets show up and run around shooting each other. They invite the Mac guy who ends up having difficulty with the vest and gun, shoots himself with it, gets frustrated, tosses it all on the floor in a fit then complains they must have built it wrong and how its stupid and "he didn't really want to play anyway." He runs off to go play Zork instead.
  12. Tale casts Gate, summons a Balor, and is promptly devoured.
  13. Maybe they should have deported the son, too. Would that have made her happy?
  14. Innocent until proven guilty, n'est-ce pas?
  15. So wait, Sand hates Bush? This is news, indeed!
  16. Why does Sand hate freedom? :'(
  17. Columbian, medium dark, non-dairy creamer, Splenda
  18. Romance is never worthwhile. Do you really think it's appropriate for a Jedi Master or Sith Lord to end up settling down early because he has to care for unplanned children? I don't!
  19. I don't know how Sammael can say the current (pre-4th edition) stat system is meaningless and arbitrary. Check out any of the JRPGs. Those have meaningless and arbitrary stat systems. When a character's stats are 100x higher than they previously were, they're doing 1000x the damage, and the character is supposedly only slightly stronger than he was before, then it's arbitrary. The D&D stat system appears incredibly meaningful. And I'm not saying that simply by comparison. I love Prestige Classes. I just think they're abused. Maybe they were introduced poorly. Maybe enough emphasis was not put out that these are not meant for everyone. But, it's probably largely the schism between people who want to roleplay and those who are just gathering to kill imaginary things. One doesn't see how he can join some order of wizards he's never met before, the other just sees that he gets a nice new ability that lets him kill even more goblins.
  20. I'm not sure anyone can use an image from Haruhi and say that's a bad thing.

  22. I'll have to agree with you 100%. The game is literally about a group of kids who are part of an extracurricular club where they save the world! They have to juggle fighting Shadows with studying, exams, and making new friends. You'd expect it to be an anime with the main character always running late to all his classes because he stayed up all night fighting. Maybe that's what I like. It's NOT standard, it's entirely new to me as I've never played a dating sim style game (and it's not all about trying to score with chicks, anyway). If it was just the dungeon crawling, I'd hate it.
  23. So, some info about the game. It's part Japanese dating sim, part dungeon crawler. All the story relates to the dungeon crawling, but you'll probably spend most of your time engaging your character in his social life. It seems a weird mix, but it's working for me. 10 hours in after only two days, I can't put it down.
  24. I wonder if they'll get Harrison Ford for voiceover work.
