  1. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
  2. Christ, DragonEffect indeed. Looks like a bad Hollywood film. In their defense, they tried doing that kind of thing with the trailers for the first game. There's a disturbing trend of video game advertisment to not actually show any of the game in the ads. You have to hunt for ___con footage of gameplay. Not saying this trailer doesn't have gameplay, I haven't seen it yet. But I'd wager if it's there, it's cinematic cuts.
  3. Actually, I mean Amber. Forgot it was HUD colored.
  4. Make sure you've left combat. It won't level you up until your sneak status is blue.
  5. The Games Radar review is positively glowing. But Joystiq and Game Informer not as much. Game Informer does credit the combat, however. The part that's worrying me is the claim that the ending is abrupt.
  6. You could do that in the original version. The game had two endings from release. The Sith Edition was mainly a pack-in with the DLC plus a timed exclusive DLC. The DLC continued/expanded the alternate ending.
  7. Fun fact, you're completely wrong. You can in fact kill Vader in the first game and take his place. Two/thirds of the DLC continues along this scenario with Starkiller going on to kill Kenobi and corrupt Luke.
  8. I just started a new playthrough. Philip H. Dent (the H stands for SCIENCE!), focusing on science, then medicine, then PEW. 10 int, educated at level 4 for 17 skill points per level. 8 points in science every level, 5 in medicine, 4 in energy weapons. HE DOES SCIENCE! And when SCIENCE! fails, he zaps things. A lot more of the lead shooting at the beginning than I wanted, but I think I'll bring out the laser soon enough. Heck, with only 15 in guns, I'm still kicking butt due to iron sights. I think this character will avoid the war entirely. But he'll probably piss a few people off when he starts blowing stuff up just because that's the science option.
  9. I don't think I ever visited Vault 11. Need to.
  10. Pretty sure the addons can be disabled in the "Data Files" app from the launcher. This is precisely what I did. For some reason it does not take.
  11. I found myself trying to disable the Classic Pack. First thing I get after starting up a new game "Classic items added to inventory." I guess I'll just sell them instead...
  12. I thought that was a nice touch for Arcanum. Along with I should replay it.
  13. Yeah, if Battlefield 2142 had airdrops, hovertanks, bombers, and power armor. I miss doing Liberator runs over the enemy's vehicle console.
  14. I'm actually surprised you can take down Bighorners with that. But all single shot rifles can be silly. Try doing the same with the hunting rifle or sniper rifle. My Anti-Materiel rifle would do that same thing without sneak. The ridiculousness of rifles is why Boone is the best companion for combat. If you're both using rifles, enemies won't even get close to you.
  15. You have a family. I have social isolation and a cat that needs to stop chewing on my bootlaces.
  16. *cough* ammo waster *cough*
  17. 150 + (STR * 10)
  18. Violetta? That weirded me out. "A named dog? COOL!" "Wait, what am I going to do with a dog brain?" *continues wandering around for a month with a dog brain in his pocket*
  19. I'll remember that my next game. Thanks.
  20. I just had someone else confirm a bug I suspected but dismissed as paranoia. If you're disguised as a faction, the game counts you as low reputation with them, even if you're at high rep. That explains a problem I had with the game having me claim the NCR hated me while I was neutral.
  21. I must know.
  22. I got all three. It's luck, basically, and establishing a system. I can go through over half the room in the timeframe. I actually got all three twice, but the first time didn't take for some reason.
  23. I'm really glad that most locations on the map have someone somewhere tell you about it or ask you to go there. Really implores the objective driven side to experience content without aimless wandering. But yeah, the level of content in the game is for lack of a better phrase "old school." Very reminiscent of the content one would find in original Fallouts or Baldur's Gate. Only thing that's missing is taking random one-of-a-kind items scattered around to a blacksmith to make the best weapon in the game. Legion and NCR money seem to be intended as exchange for chips. After you get chips, you can probably exchange back to caps. I never did this, though, so I can't confirm.
  24. You already did, completed it when he joined you. The whole "bring me someone to shoot" thing Incorrect, sir. His quest seems primarilly based on time, though.
  25. That's what that key goes to? I never knew.
