  1. I could swear it's fixed broken limbs. Surprised me, too. May just be my faulty memory, though.
  2. I don't know if it's a glitch, but I don't need to go to the doctor. I just rest. I'm thinking it might be the canteen.
  3. we have to at first I got so tired running around Goodsprings that now I'm abusing the fast travel fuction. I just pretend I'm on a motorcycle It's just that I find myself loading up all my food from my house, zipping to goodsprings to cook it, zipping back. Oops, I have weapons to sell. Zip back to good springs, sell it, zip back to store what I didn't sell, zip off to another part of the map to ADVENCHA
  4. The engine is part of the game. I don't care how much it's known that game X is getting released on the pong engine, it's still going to get a low score because the pong engine is outdated. That said, I don't mind the graphics at all. They may remind me of Source, but at least it's not plasticy like half the engines claimed to be good looking out there. In other news... Anyone avoiding fast travel? I find myself using it alot since hardcore isn't as hardcore as thought. I'm going to try to break the habit tonight.
  5. That's completely seperate, as the achievement system predates the cloud system. And more games have achievement support than cloud support.
  6. Yes.
  7. Steamcloud is completely optional. It's just an optional fileshare space some games use so you can use saves from multiple PCs. Team Fortress 2 probably requires it, though, for the weapon system.
  8. Nothing funny about Caeser's Legion? I'd think a bunch of guys taking a casino theme too literally would qualify as pretty funny.
  9. It's not a trivial effect, if that's your question. Though it might be. Haven't looked at the scripts. I just know people with luck 1 report never having any chance whatsoever of winning. And people with high luck getting banned regularly.
  10. Yes, luck effects casinos. Or rather, all data I've been presented with implies as such. I'm not looked through the scripts.
  11. I'm selling stuff because I don't want it. Like I'm ever going to use a 9mm round or submachine gun ever again.
  12. I've thankfully not had any hard locks or CTDs. My Autosave/Quicksaves did get reverted yesterday, but thankfully I have no reliance on them and instead use lots of manual saves. But it did scare the crap out of me to hit Continue and end up back 5 hours. I have encountered some things that scare me into thinking I'm about to hard lock. That's the worst of it.
  13. Because the system doesn't seem make faction adjustments for items. If they're a faction you can be friendly with, then it's always considered stealing.
  14. Bethesda is the publisher. Edit: I meant editor.
  15. Bethesda - the first Obsidian publisher who actually cares? If that's the way they care about their games I'd rather do without it. It's hard enough to find reasonable opinions without publishers getting reviews pulled and journalists fired at a drop of a hat. It's almost impossible to tell if Bethesda is the one behind it. For all you know the editor is doing it independently simply to avoid the issue.
  16. Anyone else running out of merchants to sell stuff to? :'(
  17. Since we're discussing stats. S 6 P 5 E 5 C 4 I 8 A 7 L 5 I'm going for a smart gunslinger on a roaring rampage of revenge. Tagged Guns, Repair, and Survival. Survival's actually been borderline useless for me because there's more food to find than I'll ever need in hardcore. Also, the canteen from gamestop pre-order is stupid overpowered. Heals something like 25 health every 5 minutes. So resting for an hour will heal me. Mostly pistols. Will use rifles too if I find good ones. With the 6 strength, I can use the Anti-Materiel if I get the perk to lower strength requirements by 2. Now for more of Tale's experiments in CLICHESTORM. Vegas changes you. My name is Manion. I would dispute the facts with anyone who tries to claim that I'm a violent man by nature. Guns are for hunting and survival, that's how I've felt all my life. I could fix anything and knew my way around. I took up a job as a courier as an excuse to explore and wander. Then someone put a bullet in my head and buried me alive. Maybe the lead or the lack of oxygen killed the part of my brain responsible for kindness. In the week following I'd seen enough of the insides of other men to settle down and become a surgeon. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but not by much. I've seen dynamite go off in a man's hands. I've seen heads explode down my sights. I've seen men torturned and screaming, on crucifixes and burned alive. I've even seen a man turn into a pile of ash. The wild is filled with all manner of beasties. But only now do I recognize the beasts that live in the cities. And they are the more grotesque by far. Killing others simply for power, caps, or ego. I'm not sure if I could still be considered not a violent man. I've not killed anyone that didn't deserve it. They take a life for their petty reasons and I take theirs. I don't kill men, I kill monsters. I only hope I have enough bullets. Vegas changes you. In return, I will change Vegas.
  18. I finally decided to piss of Caesar's Legion. Can't let them get away with taking slaves. The Powder Gangers may hate me, but them I don't begrudge. They don't deserve that. Got me a nice disguise, too. Glad I'm stocking those up.
  19. Jessup, so that is his name. Perhaps it was the scrambling of my brains by a lead whisk, but I can't make up my mind on how I feel about this guy. On one hand, these guys didn't kill me. Not for lack of trying, but maybe I shouldn't hold a grudge so bad. On the other hand, these guys didn't kill me. Which means they buried me alive. The NCR wants me to handle this situation. They don't really care how. They don't even care about the hostages. I came in thinking I could defuse it peacefully. Everybody lives. Then I saw Jessup. This desert's about to get a splash of color. Jessup was his name. I guess my mind is starting to heal. That decision was easier than I thought. Say hello to Benny, he won't be far behind you. I'm actually going to hold off on killing Benny until I get the Hermes armor. There's something about that armor that just screams VENGEANCE
  20. I was surprised my several year old processor (admittedly a 3.0GHz dual core) with a cheapish to midrange card from this year is doing everything on ULTRA HIGH It's one of the Bighorners, right?
  21. That's because he's a Cylon.
  22. You know the worst bugs? Those Cordozas. Or whatever they're called. Flying poisonous things.
  23. Dude, they don't save it. Check back in a few hours or tomorrow.
  24. Yeah, yeah, I detest those people. I can't fathom the behavior, so speculating on it is beyond me.
