  1. Lots of companies do sequels. Original IPs often only come out of studios that have significant enough name recognition or self funding. How many studios are stuck doing shooter sequels? Obsidian's lucky in that they seem to be able to do various sequels instead of being stuck to one franchise. Maybe that's due to them being relatively independent. Some publisher owned studios have been doing a sequels to a single franchise for longer than Obsidian has been around.
  2. Isn't there a WoD MMO in production? Yes. I thought there was also a single player game, but I can't find reference to it.
  3. If I don't feel like heading back, I'll often just start repairing loot with each other. Sometimes this actually provides a net value boost.
  4. You know what this calls for, right? Ouga chaka!
  5. I think Shimmering Isles shows that Bethesda learned a lot from Morrowind. They just didn't apply all of that to Oblivion.
  6. Energy Weapons are fine, especially once you get to the high end. Plasma Defender is incredible, Guass is highest DAM weapon in the game that's not a unique. With the unique guns that are higher also being energy weapons. Lasers just have trouble with armor. That's all. Plasma rifle isn't too thrilling, either, I'll admit. I found myself excelling with the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle in spite of all that, for a while.
  7. I don't know how I'd feel about Obsidian doing another Fallout game. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing some other, perhaps original, works from them. Maybe they have the teams to do both, however. And Bethesda I'd prefer to see working on Elder Scrolls 5. In short, I'm not in a hurry to see Fallout 4 from anyone.
  8. Oh well, if it's a feeling. Can't argue with those.
  9. The market hasn't changed that much in three years. The STALKER games sold fine PC only, being released in '07, '08, and '10.
  10. I could never fathom carrying that much around. Crikey, how much weight do you have?
  11. Because The Witcher 1 sold most of its units on consoles.
  12. The game is practically designed so that players must split their equipment loadout between high dam and high DPS. What you're suggesting means the player would have to take two weapon skills by default. That seems slightly absurd, don't you think?
  13. Campfires are silly hard to find. You can usually find them near any gathering of random raiders, though. One of the reasons companions die so much is that when you pick them up they reset to level 1. Supposedly. Another bug.
  14. I'm enjoying it. Not sure what's going to distinguish this from an average zombie movie, though, except that it seems to go slower.
  15. So is it a continuation, or just a remastering? DKS is both. It's Ergo Draconis + some new quests and changes (supposedly, but I never played Ergo Draconis) and a new adventure called Flames of Vengeance.
  16. TW2 gets a free pass since TW1 was a hack 'n slash. I liked TW1. I liked DAO. I liked DAO more. So if DA2 is going to strive to be more like games I like less, that might sour my interest, does that make sense?
  17. looks awful not even remotely resembling The Witcher. like a bad attempt at a button masher, Darksiders comes to mind Darksiders was a good game.
  18. Caesar's Legion is composed of 2 and 2 1/2 states. It's more than a couple of tribes.
  19. So yeah, rendering a verdict here on Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga. I like it. It's not open, the customization isn't deep, my mage is currently doing better with his sword than his rank 5/5 magic missile, but it's fun. Dodging arrows and all that.
  20. I just purchased that myself off of steam. Since downloading it yesterday, I've already put in about 13 hours and have enjoyed it so far. Just messing around with it, till Two Worlds 2 releases. Answer me this: Does Two Worlds 2 have flipping?
  21. He gets a free pass for what? Complaining about the BBC? Oh no, Walsh, you need to be more sensitive about programing schedules!
  22. The only way to not destroy the BoS are: 1) Go Yes Man. 2) Go NCR and do all the quests except Hardin's. I'm uncertain of Caesar's status. He may not even know about them.
  23. I do like their water. And it looks pretty good up close. It's distances and animations that are funky.
  24. What level are you that you're thinking about killing Caesar? His bodyguards are brutal.
