Finished Saint's Row 4. Good enough for me to play lots of it, but I still think I liked 3 more. Too much left over from 3 and the new stuff doesn't really integrate well. The superpowers are cool, but the biggest change they cause is that I no longer have any reason to steal cars. What kind of a sandbox car theft game is it where you don't steal cars? Even the aircraft make me feel like I'm weaker. Though I love what they've done with the guns and the powers let them make more interesting enemies and combat arenas. A good bit is the character focus. 3/4th the plot missions are just an excuse to explore the characters. I need to get back to my Shadowrun pack, my Dragon Age Origins game, and my MGS series run.

PS2 was backwards compatible with PS1. Fully so, to the point where it accepted the memory cards of the system and was able to recognize and manage those files. The XB1 and PS4 have no reason to allow transfer or management of those old save files.

Eh, why? Or do you mean that anything that Bioware does results in a lot of upset? I thought it would be cool in a ballsy way that I haven't seen in ages, if ever, in game design. I mean that lots of people would be upset to see Hawke being an uncontrolled NPC, as it would very likely defy the character the Dragon Age 2 players made him to be. And there's nothing really for Bioware to gain from that.

More than your target audience does. If one takes art and creativity as a form of teaching, even if only in abstract or non-literal terms, then it's important for the teacher to know more than the students. Like Josh said, you need to know a bit about something to have anything meaningful to say about it. If your stance is otherwise that they need not try to be meaningful, simply entertaining, then we'll just have to disagree. Star Wars is popular, sure, but it's not a very meaningful property. And I will personally be more pleased by works that have something to teach me than those that simply find me in common company for liking.

Two things I consider acceptable: 1) He shows up as a drunken hobo. 2) He shows up as a crazed abomination. Everyone else in Kirkwall was.

I'm 98% certain he won't appear at all, but might be referenced. There's no real reason to have him appear and Bioware seems to know it'd just result in a lot of upset.

I think these guys have a better idea of if it'll take than I do. That's not to say I'm not intensely skeptical.

I'm cynical to the point where "self-respecting MMO" sounds like a bit of an oxymoron. Very few of them even make an earnest attempt at taking full advantage of the medium anymore, I can't help but view them as money grabs.

I can't think of a better choice. Can you bang him? I'm pretty sure. The first time I talked to him on the ship. (Y) Talk to Keith David (X) Romance Keith David

Heatmaps are cool, I like heatmaps. I guess I'm at a point where I take the use of heatmaps in design and revision as assumed. But being on a small budget here, Obsidian might not be able to implement that kind of tracking.

Oh you remember correctly. Which is why it's complicated. It was an SR3 planned DLC. Now it's an SR4 planned DLC.

I'm not sure what's up with Enter the Dominatrix. That's the first DLC for SR4. Or is it Rise of the Dominatrix? Anyway, I would have liked to see more of 50s Steelport sim. That could have been a cool DLC of its own.

Yesterday I made shrimp tacos. I always forget just how much shrimp shrink when you cook them. I made 12 and I thought that would be enough for 4 tacos. Turned out to not be enough for 3. And either the lemon pepper I'm using isn't half as good as the store demonstration or it's really wasted on tacos.

If they made a Star Wars MOBA, it shouldn't be Jedi vs. Sith, but OT vs. NT. Luke Skywalker beating up on child Anakin, ooh yeah.

I really should read that pile of Sanderson books of mine that's accumulating. But then how will I find time for the Pratchett and Jordan piles?

You're not supposed to, anyway.

I thought I'd be more impressed. It really does feel like a glorified expansion. Steelport has barely even changed on a layout level, aside from the towers, and lots of missions are the same. Even most of the customization is the same. I went hoping to find a bunch of cool new outfits and just ended up picking the exact same thing I had for SR3. Even the powers are an expanded version of content from the SR3 DLCs. Still, I loved SR3. So I'm not begrudging the title.

Have I not beaten the horse enough about how Mass Effect 3's ending was not the only thing bad about it? Perhaps in my wish to not be a broken record, some people didn't hear the song the first time. I can respect it if you disagree, but let's not pretend that it's only about the ending.

It all depends on where you live and where it ships from. Generally the free shipping option winds up being either UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or DHL to USPS. If the place it ships from is close enough to you, it will wind up getting to you 1 day after it ships, despite shipping via the "slowest" option available. If it needs to ship all the way across the country then it may take as much as 5 days. Anyway, glad you got the game quickly. SR4 is what I'm been playing 80% of the time at the moment, the other 20% is spent playing M&M X. Yeah I know. It used to be lightning fast, then they pulled their warehouses out of Texas. Now that they've started collecting taxes... it didn't improve. Except this once.

USPS says my copy of Saint's Row IV arrived! Free 4-5 day shipping, gets there the day after release, thank you Amazon. Sometimes they still amaze me.

Ahh, to be young again.

My excitement is tempered by all the things we don't know about and likely won't until it is released. Even Mass Effect 3 seemed like it would have been good going by what they were willing to reveal.

Doesn't tell me much except that they're going for that peculiar type of British cartoon look. I'm getting Conker and Fable flashes.

I'm expecting it to be free with recurring microtransactions.

Have they really not stressed "cinematic" yet? I am surprised.
