HE WAS A HERO! *shakes fist*

So, is it a faithful adaption? It sounds from this and the few other impressions I get is mainly that it doesn't take advantage of the medium. It's still just a boardgame. That may end up being a mileage varies issue as the boardgame can get expensive.

I don't really mind Leliana's presence personally, but it is a very well known example, making the communication of the issue clear. It's a simple example that gets the message across. I could go into a variety of issues it pops up, such as small world, lack of agency, retconing of epilogues, and recharacterization. But that makes for a far more long winded post than I felt like going into at the time. And I've probably rambled at length about each of those enough. Honestly, I think people may be sick of me doing it. I get that what part of you're saying is that it's about the dialogue. How the people talk to the developers affects how the developers interpret the data. That's absolutely fair. I've had my speeches on the problems of NSR. And if that's all you're talking about, that's cool. You and I agree absolutely on that point. I'm not sure that pointing to deathblows is noise, but I'm willing to consider it. But it's not just Leliana's head that is a problem of that practice. For me it's more about wanting to see new people in new places. There's a whole bunch of issues I feel I can draw on in support of that argument. I tried finding it myself. Perhaps I jumped too quickly onto taking it for true. I hope it's not.

My problem is two points: 1) Nothing can be done with an old character that can not be done with a new. 2) It risks the player agency they say they are going to respect. Case in point; Leliana. Tatiana, the trained assassin and right hand of the Divine, could have done everything in Dragon Age 2 that she did. And nobody would have had cause to complain of her head growing back.

They could axe save imports if they stopped doing cameos entirely. Is there really any reason why Isabella, Merril, and Anders all have to show up in Fereldan, Kirkwall, and Orlais at the precise time that things are going on in these nations? Unless these characters all turn out to be demi-gods that exist everywhen and everywhere, it's a little silly. The world can not possibly be so small that if they feel the need to have an abomination, Dalish Keeper, and sexy pirate, there's no one else. I simply can't comprehend the argument that these characters have to be brought back to decrease complexity. It's like Vivec showing up in Cyrodiil. I said it before and I fear saying it again. At this rate and unless they start killing everyone in Inquisition, Dragon Age 4's cast will consist of Magister Anders, Wynne and her female dwarf friend, a mabari, Velanna, and Oghren. You'll run into the Dalish elves you recruited from DAO who have taken Merril in. The only new members will be Duncan's long lost twin brother and the son of Ser Jory.

Something along the lines of "Our Dwarf fans are very passionate."

Here's about how my day has gone so far. Work on getting the company anti-virus updated. Oh hey, the login credentials I was told were valid aren't. And none of the password reset options work either. No time to worry about that, need a business license in Reno. When do we need it? Why today! Good luck with that, buddy. What do you mean we can't find the registration information for Nevada Department of Taxation? Why is someone only asking me about that now? At least the business license reinstatement wasn't a problem. One of the workers in Louisiana needs me to buy him supplies. RIGHT NOW. Nobody has them, better find the closest thing then. Oh, and a generally liability auditor needs some more insurance information on a subcontractor. Did I mention my job description is BLOODY DATA ENTRY? At least it's not one of the days I have to call every distributor in the country looking for one item that my boss decided he absolutely had to have at the last minute.

Volo, did you watch the Game Informer video on races? I'm pretty sure Laidlaw was calling you out.

I'm getting a little tired of figuring out business license requirements in foreign states. Anyone need to start a business in Nevada? Just let me know!

I got it just for Dead Space 3. I loved 1, loved 2 until it froze on me. Been meaning to play through it.

I'd have it pre-ordered if it supported XP. It's weird that it doesn't when 3 did.

They actually said they'd like to do it, but at this point it's just not feasible for the PC version. The console versions won't have auction. Did they say they'd like to do it, or was that just Jay Wilson after he'd already moved to a different project?

You are dead to me, sir. Good day!

SR2 was supposed to be unable to enter atmosphere given its great size. This is why all the missions drop you off in a shuttle. Of course I don't think Illium is ever explained and Mass Effect 3 completely forgets. I'm more bothered by the forward facing window, putting the pilot in the most vulnerable combat position on the hsip, and Joker taking credit for automated systems. He brags about the accuracy of a faster than light jump in the first minutes of Mass Effect 1. Just what was he doing to give it such accuracy? Was he steering the ship at near instantaneous FTL, making up for .0000000000000000001 degree deviations that could send them light years off course? By feel? Is he a math whiz capable of calculating course corrections instantaneously?

I don't hate Joker, I just really don't understand the Normandy's design. It's wrong. To try and return to the topic, I feel myself getting vulnerable to the dulling of old memories. I saw a question "what platform will you be getting DA:I on" and I almost answered. I had to stop and think to myself, wait, I'm not even currently planning to get it at all! I'm even replaying DA:O. And that's building up some hype. I feel myself slipping...
-
I still don't understand what Joker actually does on that ship. It couldn't be important, his chair is in the most vulnerable section. They even give him a window that serves no purpose except to make him feel special.

Even the old epilogue never said she behaved in the court.

Oh man, now I really want a Fable style choose your title system. I'd pick The Inquirer.

Everything I read makes it sound like the old formula. With talk about how you'll check out these side stories, like whatever the Grey Wardens are up to, sounding like hooks into gathering allies.
-
The Inquisition is not the Templars. The Templars are fighting the Mages. The Inquisition may or may not view the war as petty bickering.
-
You're not the Spanish Inquisition, tasked with finding heretics. You're tasked with stopping a war and putting an end to the crap going on with the veil.

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2013/08/12/dragon-age-inquisition-s-morrigan-past-and-present.aspx New Game Informer article, it's about Morrigan. First page is character history, second is what's in store for DA:I.

What I've gathered is the PC will be the "first" Inquisitor. So it's basically that he or she s trying to reform them apart from the Chantry. I imagine Cassandra will be the one to suggest it.
