I have Deadly Deadfire and Deadfire Tweaks mods, so I have Xoti as a Templar (paladin/priest of eothas), letting her fulfill the role of healer/buffboi, but letting her tank and pick up some of the more damaging priest spells (priest offense spells are stronk as fk) As I said earlier, though, just manage your party well and you’ll do fine, healer or not.

Not necessarily a priest, but some form of sustain (either a rejuvenation druid, a priest, or something like high athletics/scrolls/potions) is what I would highly recommend. Priests and druids take a while to get truly powerful heals, but once you’re there, your sustain is very powerful. Items and scrolls just let everybody heal themselves and each other, provided you have arcana for scrolls and don’t forget to use items. Honestly, the best way to not die is to just properly manage your team in battles, whether you have a healer or not. Make sure that tank is tanking right, make sure you take out priority targets (priests, spellcasters, enemy Ranged/Melee dps), keep up with the buffs/debuffs, and keep an eye on your party’s armor/penetration (heavy armor is your friend early in the game, even on rogues n spellybois)

If your tank is Eder and he is a swashbuckler, then Patinated Plate is definitely one of the best (Just slap Bronze Juggernaut on and if he has riposte, he is invincible and just slaps ppl to death by standing in the middle of everyone), but a close second for me is the Hearth Defender Mail (medium armor) because it gives a huge +2 armor aura if your companions love ya. (You get it late in the game though).

But isn't that supposed to be so? FOr example the Arcane Blaster also gets a modal as enchantment. The difference is that this isn’t an enchantment and isn’t listed anywhere in the description of the item. If it’s intentional, it wasn’t really communicated to the player well. In addition to this, the Eccea’s blaster modal is separate from the pistol modal. The Kahua Hozi modal just replaces the normal spear modal. It’s weird and I don’t understand anything so I just accept it.

You can do most, if not all their quests on the same playthrough. I don't know how many of the faction quests you've covered on the Huana route, but quite a few of them actually intertwine, so you'll have to deal with both factions anyway. Same goes for locations. As for NPC, Principi have their two leaders, Benweth, Mad Morena, and Dereo, all of whom are more or less interesting (except maybe Morena). VTC have Castol, Alvari, Flaune Elette aka the chief animancer, and a bunch of dukes and princes from the Republics whose names I don't even remember since they only appear in one single scene. So I guess Principi win in terms of numbers. But again, you can get to deal with both sides' characters regardless of who you support. I might actually not kill Benweth this time, since I don't need Miscreant's Leathers for this build anyway.Kill him on principal then. Does he do anything else if you spare him, or is he just never mentioned again? He betrays Aeldys for Futrante. Not that I blame him, I'm not particularly fond of Aeldys' style. I generally kill him because he attacked you, thought you weren't a threat, and looks like a ****. There are cool pirate bros and there are complete c**ts like Benweth. Murdering him his merciful to the rest of the planet.

We definitely need more wandos/arbalesticles/crossbuoys, and I think grimoires would be better if they all provided some type of bonuses/maluses. For example, a weathermage grimoire should power up shock and water magic (or maybe add a keyword weather/storm to some spells to power those up), and perhaps decrease the power of fire spells. (This would give incentive to using the more mundane grimoires and encourage grimoire swapping in some situations).

Just to clarify, the modal for Blunderbuss, does this count as body affliction? And Delibitating strike as well? This is for the Streetfighter passive buff Distracted is a perception affliction and I think perception afflictions are mind afflictions. Body Afflictions = Might, Con, Dex Mind Afflictions = Per, Int, Resolve *I may be wrong, so take what I stated with a grain of iodized salt or two.

maybe im getting lazy on my micro. Melee guys do attack the tank when engaged. More so as an Unbroken Crusader. Its ranged enemies switching. In POE 1 I would pop the tank out first he took a lot of heat while everyone buffed. What I usually do is send my melee dps at the backline wizards/archers first (with a little help from my ranged characters) and then wrap around to flank melee enemies. If that’s not possible with your lineup then idk how to help ya.
