  1. Is this a serious question?
  2. You see the problem is there is a sense of impunity on Reddit where people can say what they want and insult who they want without moderation...so it reminds me of the whole GG saga. A few people were able to give the entire GG movement a bad name as far as the media and many others were concerned ( you notice GG got mentioned in the video...your infamy outlives you ) So even though you say that sexist element shouldn't matter unfortunately they do matter because of the bad perception it creates for Reddit And that's fine....I'm done fighting battles over places like Reddit. I have no issue if millions of people love Reddit and enjoy its moderation policy, they are entitled to post on any website they want and I know there are many interesting debates on Reddit . I wont support it and as Ms Lacy said people need to realize it will be difficult for it to become this huge financial success through the various ways websites generate revenue on the Internet See I absolutely and vehemently disagree with that. Those people did not give GG a bad name. People of your persuasion did by disproportionately amplifying what a minority of people have said so you can use it as a crutch to ignore and shut out opinions you don't like. It is a perception that exists not because it is objectively true but because it is what you choose to see. As far as Reddit and moderation in general. It is pretty simple really. 1) Freedom of speech (like any other freedom) comes at a price. You can say whatever you like. The price you pay is that people will say what you do not like. 2) Any law or rule or moderation policy is an extremely tricky thing. It can be too blanket or too vague and open to interpretation or abuse. And arguably in one way or the other always will be. The risk of that will always be present. Many people believe that in a place like Reddit the responsibility to seethe through the content, to deal with the possibility of seeing what you don't like, to guard your own feelings, is your own. If you can't, if you need someone else to protect your emotions, then it's not for you and that's ok. That is the price paid for complete freedom, for seeing humanity as is and not just a fake avatar, for never dealing with the possibility of chilling effects increasing moderation may have on free speech. The truth is nobody trusts social justice types to moderate fairly. Gamer Gate was the perfect example when thousands of posts were deleted completely regardless of their individual content. There is a fear that people who see racism in barbecue (yes this is for real) and sexism in any display male sexuality will get to be in charge of places like Reddit.
  3. It would also be silly to suggest that there are no people who believe in Bigfoot. There are. But so what? The insinuation that video is making is that those people are numerous enough to matter. They are not. Only in the demented minds of SJW media who keep talking about them. Victoria Taylor is a woman too. Why wasn't there a massive movement against her?
  4. "weren't going to like her anyway because she's an Asian woman" -- does anyone really sincerely believes this childish bs?
  5. This is kind of a pointless sentiment. You can call it whatever, GG or not GG, it's just a hashtag. The vast majority of people who've ever participated do not agree with the worst elements, something you know perfectly well. People of your persuasion will always find a way to judge it based on that one guy in the corner who lets you label the whole thing. When you say "distance yourself from GG" what you are actually asking is stop disagreeing with the this brand of "social justice" movement. EDIT: The Gamasutra article. "We don’t need theories about the correlation between violent games and violent behavior. Many players of violent and antagonistic games engage in violent and antagonistic behavior. Whether violent people are attracted to games or games arouse violent emotions is irrelevant. Anyone who has ever been attacked by a gamer lynch party knows that a certain number of people who play antagonistic and violent games are aggressive, intolerant, reactionary, misogynist, and so on." Translation: I wont let facts challenge my world-view. Incredible really. We don't need any evidence apparently... We don't need to know if there is any correlation. We don't need to know if the proportion of violent people is any different from any other hobby. How convincing.
  6. It's not though. The combat in Arkham has never been about the challenge of just getting through the enemies. It's how you win. The challenge is winning with perfection. It's fun and pretty addictive imo.
  7. He doesn't like the Arkham melee system but seems to like the Batmobile tank combat... That's a bizarre opinion.
  8. I'm sure that with so many claims there is plenty of material available to get to the truth of the matter. However on the other hand if out of all these many claims it will turn out that not even one can be proven not only can you dismiss them but you absolutely must.
  9. NWN Forest Final Fantasy XIII Battle Battlefield 1942 Planescape Torment Tomb Raider Batman: Arkham City
  10. If he was in a Russian prison he wouldn't want contact with other inmates. Salman Raduev (chechen terrorist) was sentenced to life in prison. Then his cell mate beat him to death.
  11. LOL. This is not normal behavior.
  12. They are being pro gay. But what sound does 'EW' make...?
  13. Someone didn't think through the rainbow logo. EW....
  14. They say it is its own thing based in the Mad Max universe.
  15. Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. Dug up CDs I didn't even know I had anymore. It is flawed and brutal. I wish the new RS was more like an updated version of this.
  16. Started appearing literally in the first minutes after people started playing.
  17. Arkham Knight got pulled of Steam by WB. Unexpected and hopeful this means it will actually get fixed. I wonder if this would ever be a possibility without the new Steam refund policy.
  18. I'm glad they are making Shadow Warrior 2. Looking great.
  19. The bad performance in Arkham Knight is just one thing. Obvious bugs will get fixed and people will just raw power it in the future. But it is also a fairly in your face visual downgrade from the console version. Which will never get fixed unless by mods.
