Future DLC.

Apparently Batman Arkham Knight is the worst PC port ever witnessed. Not only atrociously optimized but also a downgrade from the console version with muddier textures and missing effects. http://i.imgur.com/3YYZGlx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/f3Sgzaa.jpg

I see their comments are about as intelligent as their actual games were.

No. My issue is what I said it is. Is that there is no less and no more success than there was before. Yet they kept maligning the industry. Yeah they will disagree with facts. Which is exactly the problem.

Bruce did you read what the post said? The point is that the facts on the ground have demonstrably not changed. So all the words that have been coming out of their mouths then and now are evidently not based on facts but on whatever bs emotions swirling in their heads. Which just makes it about the quality of their reporting and what this says about the worth of their analysis and critiques. Ethics in games' journalism. Like, yeah, for real. How did you arrive from that to assuming anyone has issues with gender equality as a concept.

So there has been a string of articles from nearly everywhere collectively titled "E3 2015 was the best year for female characters" (IGN) and a few media personalities celebrating some kind of "victory" for the cause or some such. Adrian Chmielarz (The Vanishing of Ethan Carter writer) wrote an article which makes some comparisons: https://medium.com/@adrianchm/the-truth-about-e3-2015-and-female-protagonists-b006094e44b1 So sure the industry was sexist just a year ago and today it's "E3 belongs to the ladies we are not giving it back" to quote one journo personality. Except the numbers don't really add up dear snowflakes. /journalism

Isn't this basically what the previous generation always says about the next one?

The DLC character spoke and frankly as noted by many people it worked far better than the kind of non-entity that was Corvo. So I'm actually hoping they'll give everyone a personality. I'm ready to let the "better immersion" theory of a silent protagonist die.

I am assuming the weapon wheel is for the consoles.

Refreshing but I would rather the whole experience be sound regardless of the health system. It looks alright. Just not perfect and it could have been.

Doom gameplay has way too many interruptions for scripted executions and the chainsaw is only scripted executions. Breaks the flow. Disappointing.

Yes God forbid a man and a woman star together. Oh, sorry did I put man first? What I meant was Woman and man.

The "rape culture" moral panic on US college campuses
Fighter replied to Ineth's topic in Way Off-Topic
This basically. If you're accused of rape then either you're proven to be a rapist and go to prison or you're left alone. And if your accuser is proven (beyond any doubt) to have lied, they go to prison. None of that completely consequence free accusing of others. And if neither if provable then... life is not fair. But it is better that a guilty walks free than an innocent be punished. I wish there there was a button to press that just told the exact truth of what happened. But there isn't. The best that can be done is to act based on a concrete evidence standard using a process that is thorough. Any other process that can ruin someone's future based on a standard and implementation that is less than that simply shouldn't exist. -

Your legal system did not put the guy in prison and no apparent attempts were even made. Which is suggestive of the level of evidence. There was no such trial that's the point and despite that damage to a man not convicted of a crime was done. -

I am not sure what point you're trying to make. That it's ok to have lesser evidence standards because people in Somalia have it really bad? -

Yep "gold". First gets raped then branded a rapist. It must be that male privilege we keep hearing about. Double funny. -

But it is about justice and a man's future. -

I am not sure what exactly you mean by "initial accusation". This: Does not sound fair or reasonable at all. It sounds like satire frankly. -

So you have no issue with sacrificing the innocent? You don't believe in "It is far better that 10 guilty men go free than one innocent man is wrongfully convicted"? Here is the thing if you've been raped nothing will change that. And while it is important to do your best to punish the guilty nothing can undo the crime. On the other hand you're giving criminals (false accusers) power to condemn innocent people. There is no equivalence here. It is NOT a re-balancing of a two dimensional scale. There is a different element entirely. -

Umm... no... But I do hope if this story is true that the people who ruin lives in this way have theirs ruined instead and get drained of mass amounts of cash. -
Does it give you pause when you can't figure out if someone who goes by "Genderqueer Muslim atheist. Born white in the #wrongskin" is for real or not? These are confusing times, I do understand.
