I doubt it. It's not like they disabled it throughout (right...? didn't check). It's more likely that Ashley wasn't available for recording or something. The god sequences aren't a bit problem as there actually isn't much for hear to read. But it sucks if there is no narration for new ending slides. That will feel weirdly off. It would be cool if they found a way to patch them in, but with no new major content coming up that might not happen.

Localization!

I doubt there will be more audio options rather than English. While certainly makes for a better product for those not fluent in English it is a massive investment, especially for an RPG where amount of lines is expected to be significant. In the end it is a mid budget title - I can’t imagine their audio budget to be big enough to support recording sessions in multiple languages. Subtitle translation should be a thing. I hear those haven’t been great lately though. Hopefully 2K might connect Obsidian with a better translation teams than what they used for PoEs. -
Yeah, it’s alright. But I don’t think that not having those damages game in any way. In the end it’s about how skill helps you save resources. I am curious if OW will use Deus Ex system (the higher hacking skill the less lockpicks required) or if it will be a hard cap (need that much skill to lockpick). Personally I though the original DE multi tool/lockpick system was great, as it opened more ways for people who invested in hacking/lockpicking, while still allowing everyone to open each, individual lock with enough resources.

I might be off but here is how I understand it: Politically uninvolved party members: -Eder, Xoti, Aloth. Maybe its possible for them to leave if you really dislike what you do, but all I got was serious talk with eder. -Pallegina - she is a strong supporter of Valians and will be upset if you do anything against Valians. She will leave you if you mess up quests involving feud of prominent Valian families . If you side with Huana she will leave, and if you pin sabotage of Rauataian powder house on VTC director she will leave you as well. Side note: I remember Josh tweating that if Pallegina is having "disgraced" background she will accept nothing less than siding with Valians. However, this claim has been contested by several players. -Serafen - not so much interested in politics, but if you agree to support slavers he will leave. -Takehu - he will leave if you side with RDC - as their plan is fairly anti-huana Maia - she will leave when you agree to target RDC: so siding with Valians or Huana. I'm not sure if it's possible for companions to leave due to differences, but even if it is, those can be easily resolved. I did finish game with Pal and Xoti in the party for example. In addition all the leaving has been buggy throughout the games release - for example on my first playthrough no one left, and there are reports of companions not leaving if they are not present during the event. However, those are bugs and they might have been patched by now.

I would go Veteran and upscale all. If you are a completionist I would also download mod to reduce XP gain. I am not 100% sure how balanced the game is now. I found expansions just right on Veteran - somewhat challenging, couple deaths, but never overwhelming. The biggest problem in Deadfire is tendency to overlevel content - therefore xp mod. I am not sure what game considers as crit path, I would just suggest to upscale all.

First-person shooter :(

So much stupid. Microsoft acquisition has been recent, as far as the word goes they are still figuring things out, and Outer Worlds doesn't have anything to do with Microsoft. That project has been long on the making. Decision to limit camera options for purely FTP has been made by Obsidian due to budget limitations. Who knows, maybe with big backing of Microsoft it would have 3rd person view, just to match current "Bethesda" model. -
After defeating Oracle, and talking the Wael I picked the option to give Wael's body to Councelhaut. However, after leaving the conversation I decided to kill Oracle instead (I assume that kills the body as she is "the brain). However, when I returned to main hall were wizards were waiting for me, Councelhaut claimed to have new body and the discription mentioned tentacles even though he was floating by me and it was him speaking (skulls image, centered on him). I don't think it's supposed to be. I don't think it is as important as allowing character builds to differ from each other, but the better the combat the more fun the experience. I don't hate combat as much as other people, but so far enemies look dull and combat seems like a snooze fest. It doesn't turn me off, as I play RPGs for RPGing. I treat combat in those as an element of overall experience, not as the main focus. I am curious to see if there is more to it. It is just the first demo.

Pretty much above: dual weapon damage means your character will target the weaker defence. Deadfire really really doesn't want to running around with the same weapon. I personally like dual weapons damage as that means I have to switch weapons less. There are also many ways to bring/raise penetration.

I did read through it and certainly some worthy suggestions but some of those ask for developing new technology/functionality which is no small feat. I am a big fan of seeing your own body in FPS. In video it does seem like a floating hand with a gun. That said, if I remember well, dishonoured protagonist don’t have a body and it works just fine. OW is a sf RPG but it’s no starcitizen. While some cool flavours for planets and locations would be nice, I don’t expect them to be anything more that had made maps which you travel inbetween using map, ala Mass Effect.and I don’t think they need to be anything more than that. Yhh, ok time to disagree. Cover system. While the combat doesn’t look too interesting so far, I certainly don’t long for a cover system. Cover in FPview could be alright, new Deus Ex cover is bad bad bad (and so is switching between FPS and TPS for no reason). Hope so see some cooler things in combat but inspecting texture resolution on boxes and walls isn’t on of them. Deployable shields, gravity bombs that kind of stuff.

There actually isn’t. Like not even the little. We have isometrics to choose from for now, and phrase “Baldur’s Gate3” worries me. I got over it and got re-married couple times already. Not you are claiming to resurrect my first wife, but she is also not my first, and expect me to be excited about it. 18 years ago I would. Now I sit with a shotgun on my porch and suspiciously watch what this abomination will do. One second thought, this analogy doesn’t really work.

Or simply ban all players. -
Just before starting the new DLC I went aboard my ship to check the new conversation options with Yidwin. During our talks she mentioned what seems like location from Forgotten Sanctum, even though I haven't been there yet. The issue/oversight can be easily found using this save - just add Yid to the party and ask her about Republics and libraries. At this point DLC hasn't been activated yet. https://drive.google.com/file/d/17XSpLfxPnaDJqetUCjA8vfPZTQDZp1uY/view?usp=sharing

It's in Dark Cupboard. I received an official letter about it, even during beta. Now when the whole thing is out I am sure you can find it by yourself. For anyone interested when you sacrifice the pet to it it will remember its apperance and its buff. Then you can create a pet by choosing the look, the bonus and name it. Therefore you can have your favourity pet, with your favourite buff and give it your favourite name!
