  1. I'm with you on that... I'll admit that I don't self-police myself with Meri considering that my Seelah don't get to recharge/shuffle her Blessings of Iomedae (I find it a suitable trade off).
  2. Well, Pathfinder is not designed so every character and every party combination can be successful... there are some characters (Ezren) and some party combinations (no spellcasters) that will find it next to impossible to complete the Adventure Path. But without knowing what party you're playing it's hard to give useful hints as to how to defeat the scenario. I did beat 5.4 with my party of six characters on first try even with a major mistake made (sending Lini to fight Ordikon in "no spells" location... which lead to a full hand wipe since, naturally, he rolled a 1!). I will admit that I don't play on Heroic/Legendary since I find it way to much luck based... and therefore not fun to play. On the other hand, Rise of the Runelords is easiest Adventure Path released by Paizo so far.
  3. It's ALL of the "end of turn" powers... both from characters and from cards. If you click on trashcan you get a discard but not end of turn and if you click on next you get end of turn but not discard (unless you have more cards in hand then hand size). It has been like that since 1.1.3
  4. I don't think there is a need for new locations created specifically for Quest mode... simply allowing game to trully select them at random (as opposed to from a fixed set!) would be enough. But RNG does have a problem... I can't think of how many times a bane I just evaded with Meri ended up on top. I encountered Ghost three times in a row at General Store when there was 7 or 8 cards in the deck and I had to evade him each time since I didn't have a magic weapon in hand...
  5. Well we can hope that is the reason because the odds of having the game choose exact same 8 out of 24 (in Tier B!) locations for several consecutive games is way too small for it to be random...
  6. There is definatelly something wrong with RNG in this game and nothing show it better then Quest mode set up. Specifically it's location choosing where it's possible to have 5 out of 8 locations show up in 10+ consecutive games. And I actually had 4 consecutive games choosing exact same 8 locations...
  7. That is one extremelly unlucky sequence of events... but sadly there is no way to get arround it. Also, take note that having armor doesn't help with Shrine since it's damage cannot be reduced in any way...
  8. Are you talking about "Tankard", an item that allow you to recharge items with Liquid trait? That promo card came with Iconic Heros minis and is (as ot today) not something you can get in the app...
  9. It's possible that the card is "misprinted" and that effect is what is supposed to be... but going with card "as printed" Holy Text should not work with Holy Light.
  10. Agreed, some (like Poog) are very useful but you can easily play without them and not miss anything. Personally, I'd never pay $15 for Poog but there are people who would. The three characters are a bit different since they weren't retail promos (they're "Free RPG day" promos) and they actually add another dimension to the game... not to mention they're extremely fun to play!
  11. I don't have Holy Text so I can't understand what the problem is... what does Holy Text say. From your post I'm guessing it's to add 2d4 to a check but which one?
  12. Sorry I wasn't clear about it. Paizo don't put their promos for sale other then three goblin characters (one for each AP released so far)... but people who got promos with their decks as part of their subscription are selling them on ebay and other similar sites for quite a lot of money. Personally, I'm OK with Paizo selling those characters and nothing else.
  13. Are we talking about $5 per promo card or $5 for all of them? I'm asking because physical game promo cards sell for that much (and more) on ebay and similar sites... and Paizo is selling three promo characters (Tup, Ranzak and Ekkie) for $4 a piece.
  14. The game does give you an option of whether you want to use Treasure cards in Story mode (they're always used in Quest mode) so you might want to check your game settings to make sure that option is not activated (I'm pretty sure default setting is using them but it doesn't hurt to check).
  15. Yes, but before this update when I taped "Trashcan" icon I'd get a choice whether to use a spell/item, character power or optional discard. There was an order in which you had to trigger those but you could do all of them. That is no longer possible since tapping "Trashcan" take you straight to optional discard...
  16. It's not just ceaseless crusade... it's the whole "end of turn actions" that are messed up. I can either use optional discard or use ceaseless crusade with Seelah, I can either use optional discard or end of turn move with Amiri, I can either use optional discard or look at the top card with Harsk, I can... well, you get the picture. Basically, if I tap the "Trashcan" icon at the top you get to use optional discard but not end of turn actions (I'm guessing that would apply to Stride, Haste and other spells and items with end of turn actions) and if I tap the "Next" icon at the side of the screen I get to use end of turn actions but don't get optional discard (unless I have more cards in hand then my hand size).
  17. Hmm, I'm not sure if we ever had a decisive ruling on that other then Mike saying that Wand changes your skill used to "nothing"... which could mean that your default die is 1d0.
  18. "Reveal this card to add 1d10 to your non-combat Acrobatics check. You may play another item on this check. You may recharge this card when you reset your hand."
  19. Wand of Scorching Ray (not Wand of Blasting!) say following: "For your combat check bury this card to roll 4d6." That mean that when you use it you get to use your "no skill" + 4d6, so blessings that add your base die can't help you since your base die is 0. Things like Old Lite location power which add d6 to any check with Fire trait would work since you do add Fire trait to your check. Similarly, anything else that add specific die to a check with Fire, Ranged, Magic or Arcane trait would work as it should. 20. She can't go back into location deck because she never came from it... summoned monsters always return back to the box, regardless of whether you defeat them or not.
  21. 24 allies? How did you came to that number? Locations that are used in 6 player games have only 10 allies between them and you add another 8 from scenario power. That's 18 so where does the final 6 came from?
  22. If you had 12 points then you should have won the scenario since all you need is 9 allies at 6 player game. There was a known bug where you'd loose IF Magga took the last card tho... As for other things... the score is as it should be. You're not supposed to know how many allies Magga eat so the game keep track of total cards she took, not what her actual score is. The game does track your actual score so you can be more or less sure where you are. Magga is also supposed to take d4 cards on normal difficulty and d6 on heroic or legendary so it's possible you're just unlucky. If she did took 5 cards on normal than that is a bug... are you sure about that?
  23. From the current Rulebook (Wrath of the Righteous, pg.10): Since the default combat check is Strength or Melee (you can change that by playing a card) that mean you can't play "Eloquence" since it doesn't affect your check in any way.
  24. No I'm not a developer but I do have eyes and can think for myself... I can see how long it take them to release AD4 and how they keep delaying it due to "unforeseen issues" that keep coming up. I also know what's coming up in later sets. Rise of the Runelords was the least complex of the three AP's released so far. There is no scenarios that change your hand size, no scenarios that require you to build a location during the scenario and all the other "nice" stuff we get there. And that is not even counting the completely new mechanic that is Ships and Cohorts... bottom line, if they have this much problem here it's not that farfetched to believe they will have even more problems when they get to those scenarios and those AP's.
  25. Seoni's Arcane die is a charisma die. And you should be able to play the card regardless of that, it doesn't require that the check be a charisma check to play it. Not if Seoni already played a spell or used her character power (which count as playing a spell)!
