As far as I can remember there is very, very few situations in which you can't play blessing on your own check (location that say you can play only one card per check is one of them) but in this situation you should have been able to play it... Are you sure you're not overlooking some location power (I once almost lost a scenario because I sent my spellcaster to fight a villain in a location where I can't play spells...)

1.1.6.1 Compensation Bonus
Ripe replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Nope... I only have the one. Did you also get triple gold? An unexpected 7500 gold pretty much means you also got a free character alt on the house! Edit: The Festive Wool Hides are salvageable for 5g each, should you want to do so. Believe it or not, I didn't even think to check before... Now that I did I can say that I didn't get triple gold but I did get double... I had over 5k gold yesterday and now I have over 10k. -
1.1.6.1 Compensation Bonus
Ripe replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
Thanks... but is it normal that I have 3 "Festive Wool Hide" promos? I could see having two of them (1 as compensation and 1 for completing weekly challenge) but not 3. -

Ripe replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
What about Seelah, Kyra and Merisiel recharge/shuffle ability? When is that going to be fixed? -

Bought it about an hour or two before I posted... and what do you mean by "reboot/force-restart"? -
Holiday bundle card missing
Ripe posted a question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I got the ally but not the spell... and when I look at AD6 spells there is not a slot for it either. -
DO NOT PLAY AD6!
Ripe replied to Longshot11's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Warning people about Game breaking bug that will cause months of playing pointless is not spamming! It's something Devs or even you, Forum mods should have done the moment this particular bug was first reported! -
Got both card and power feat after 6.1
Ripe replied to tlaloc_byu's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Same here... which make me wonder if the Card feat we got is not the one we should get for completing the Adventure Path. -
No, it does not. It's still bugged. Which at this point is rather insulting to your customers considering exact same ability for Kyra work perfectly (or at least it did before... didn't play Kyra since AD6 was released so it's possible that one is messed up as well now). As for Alts and their price... price is one problem, the fact that characters don't look particularly interesting to play is another.

I actually support Obsidian on this rules divergence. It is hard to balance permanent card removal and infinite replays. In tabletop, you only had a limited number of opportunities to remove basic/elite cards. In digital, the ability to play completed scenarios over and over again would give you far too much ability to shape the decks. If you wanted to stay true to the rules, you wouldn't be able to banish cards in scenarios that you have already completed. The compromise they came up with, the "Culling" system, randomly removes a percentage of Basic/Elite cards. That percentage ramps up as you increase in AD. And it also works with Quest Mode, so the player has a somewhat consistent experience between the two game types. Anyway, rather than getting too off-topic, it probably deserves to be split off into another thread someday. And I'd be perfectly fine with being unable to replay a scenario I successfully completed. That and allowing us to mix parties in story mode are two "improvements" I could do without.

That's not entirely true. What if, when you encounter that really awesome item you really, really want to have, the only item that you happen to be holding in your hand is another awesome item you really, really don't want to lose Assuming that the rule of being able to pass on a boon is implemented, why on earth would you explore the Vault with an Item you really don't want to lose as the only Item in hand? Basically, your question is 'what if you do something really stupid'? To which my answer would be 'you pay the price for being really stupid'. Because you play a single character? Or maybe because that is the only open location? In the end, it doesn't matter. Exploring a location (regardless of your hand composition) is not "doing something really stupid"... The location is called "Vault of Greed" so if you're greedy and take something from it you deserve a punishment. If you resist the temptation, great. But as Borissimo pointed out, ability to pass on boons is one of the rules of the game! That alone mean it should not be a question of whether it should be implemented or not... the question is why it isn't implemented already! The same goes for permanent removal of basic boons and banes following completion of AD2 (and elites following completion of AD4)... another rule that Obsidian choose not to implement which is actually detrimental to the game experience.

At least villains count as defeated for the purpose of extra blessings if you don't corner them... in Skulls & Shackles scenario 3.2 you also have three villains but they are undefeated unless all three are in the same location! And to make everything more "fun", that scenario also don't have henchman... Someone has been playing it hardcore... You might be interested in this FAQ: http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1gu#v5748eaic9sj8 Interesting... that will certainly make completing the scenario a lot easier. We did get quite a lot of practice playing like we did tho, so my group rarely fails completing (having Alahazra in party does help).

No, it is not the same, but it is the best advice until the feature gets implemented. The discussion on this goes back to May, and even earlier if you consider the closed beta. Last we heard, it was on the to do list, but it's only been recently that forced rolls for unwanted boons has started having a significant quality-of-life impact. Forced rolls for unwanted boons had quality-of-life impact from day 1 considering that declining to aquire a boon is not the same as failing to aquire a boon. Which make huge difference for that wildcard that causes us to discard a blessing from blessing deck each time we fail to aquire a boon. And there were few other situations where failing a check to aquire would bring up other consequences (Glasswork location, some boons)
