  1. Earlier, it was said that one companion would leave you after you no return choose a faction. You're saying that three will leave you. Which is the truth, I wonder. And is it tied to their personal approval?
  2. The +attribute bonus is amazing. I want to try to earn enough to get that one by the time the import bugs are fixed, so I can use it on my imported character. It's completely insane. permanent +12 attributes, spread around? Ugh, even if you dump resolve or something and ignore con, that's still +8 to offensive stats. Had I known about this beforehand, I would have almost just done a quick <10 hour run to get the 15 points (maybe 18 for the extra skill points) and started my "completionist" character.
  3. You're treated like your companions in Pillars 1 now - choices made at level 1 can't be changed with retraining. That said, just don't retrain right now, period. You'll likely permanently lose abilities and ability points.
  4. Which weapon cancels the int affliction and what does taking the sword to its original owner do compared to manually maxing the soulbond? The sword told me where to go, but I was planning on doing that last... Well, I'll answer my own question. Modwyr grants the immunity to Intellect afflictions once you complete her soulbond. She also seems like an excellent, endgame-worthy sword. Legendary (for 30k gold), lash, stacking attack speed buff, immunity to intellect afflictions and gives a stunning per-encounter attack.

  6. The biggest city, Neketaka? There's a trash heap there. Go even deeper down and explore the ruins.
  7. Wait. Blood Thirst gives you zero recovery for ten seconds after you land one kill? That's insane. You just kill steal something with smash and gg?
  8. Swords have loads? Good. I almost picked devoted to sabre just because I knew that they were almost guaranteed to get a lot of love, I think they are the dev's favorite weapon type. Two is really ****ty. 4-5 uniques at least per weapon type is more like it.
  9. The enemy ship "crew" is the people manning the oars and cannons. Not the people who show up on the deck fighting you if you board. Which makes no sense, but that's how it is. Killing the enemy crew is only to cripple the enemy ship so you can sink it easier. If you want to board, the best tactic seems to just go lightweight and ram asap.
  10. Those things cost 5k to buy. Lucky of you to get two so early... where was this, exactly? :D And yeah, it's ship equipment. You only need one.
  11. Even if she 'joined' the Kind Wayfarers (like in my ending, she even mentions doing the caravan work), she still has the Five Suns. From what I've heard, she can't actually game mechanically be a Kind Wayfarer.
  12. I disliked her voice. I like the wizened old man narrator like in D:OS2, but here, I was wondering if there was an option to turn her voice off...
  13. Last time I checked, it was a 30%. It's still a ****ty design, I hate random double damage procs, rng rng fishing rabble rabble, it's flashy but unhealthy, I'd be much happier with a constant 30% - or hell, even 20% damage bonus.
  14. Disregarding the power level (although considering how rogues were arguably the weakest class in Pillars 1, there's only the way up for them), with the reworked stealth cones and detection system rogues should feel much better to play. It also looks like you have a lot more combat invisi too.
  15. All the martial classes have their own appeal, though Monk is likely going to be the most popular, at first at least.
  16. So i guess i will go with 16 Might/16 Dex/16 Per, the rest 10. Helwalkers that get +10 might from wounds can hit the cap if they start with max str. Fighter/Cipher? You'd need to get 15 points from buffs/gear... probably not happening. Any combination of might/dex/per with high might will be good. Might should be the best, with dex and per depending on your build. Like if you get extra crit dmg on gear and like tc are using a 2h sword with the -acc modal, per is prob better, while dex might be better for dw. It'll be very close nonetheless.
  17. That's a problem with the game, not the pc. Load times were a very common complaint that still remains to this day as you get deep into the game. They started being unbearable around WM2 for me.
  18. Saw this topic on reddit. Iovara's Revenge was a memorable name, if your character cares about her. Since I'll be playing a glamfellen, I'll think of some suitable fantasy name.
  19. That's what I'm rolling (though dw), and for a no stat under 10 build, probably max might, split the rest between dex and per. Resolve would be the dump stat, con isn't really worth increasing for a dps character, int is a mixed bag but if you're not planning on casting any cipher spells, the few fighter buffs alone probably aren't worth any point investment, so it comes down to the 3 dps attributes once again, haha. Devoted's extra crit dmg has synergy with perception, dex is just important for dps, and multiplicative might is pretty no-brainer.
  20. Oi. I haven't watched the stream (going in blind!), but that makes it sound pretty hard. Sounds like he's taking a ton of damage - look at it this way - if a healing priest, druid, abilities and potions couldn't keep you alive, we'd have a problem.
  21. True, but if 10 is average and 5 is clumsy what's 3? Very clumsy. I imagine with this stat system it'd take a stat of 0 to actually start having real trouble with normal life, and negative to be actually impaired (like a negative int score would talk like DnD 6 int character).
  22. I didn't get to play the beta. Are there still enemies highly resistant to some of these physical damage types, even to the point of immunity? If so, were there any slash immune enemies in the beta? This is a pretty selfish question, since I've decided on a Devoted Soulblade, and am trying to decide between swords and sabres. From what I've seen on discussions, when mentioning weapons, people usually mention the penetration or speed, is the damage type kinda irrelevant, then?
