Foe only ice/water spells he gets are great, yeah. Druid spells are kinda crap imo, except the 9th level, when he starts wiping screens almost on par with wizards. Honestly, opening from stealth simultaneous Meteor Shower + Great Maelstorm (you could even empower them) does completely utterly dusgusting damage that kills almost every enemy instantly.

Nungata is missing?
Clerith replied to iLubMyBroDan's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This thing happened to me as well, except she disappeared when I'm trying to turn in the steel golem bounty. What's the best way to send a save file without signing up for some third party website...? -
Wizards...butchered.

I hate 6 second cast times, but wizards are still powerful at high levels and seem like probably the strongest caster to me. -
Can you maybe tell what have to be done to push her to the darkness for threshing aura? If you check your quest log, you'll see updates like "I encouraged Xoti to seek the light of Gaun's lantern - of rebirth after death" or "I encouraged Xoti to embrace the darkness of Gaun's sickle - of death before rebirth." When you talk to her about her dreams and after the spiritual cleansing thing at the temple - like the bit about relighting the lanterns of Hel and not giving up hope pushes her towards the light, while telling her to accept the fall and the harvest pushes her towards the dark. Telling her to release the souls or keep them in the lantern doesn't do anything game mechanics wise, though it majorly affects her character and ending, it's the dialogue choices way before that that matter.

It costs 1 and has no cooldowns. No abilities in the game have a cooldown. I really loved it and it became a mainstay on my devoted/soulblade, but I didn't pick it with my tank, since it works better with dual wielding and on my tank I'd rather use the discipline to become immortal or use the top tier abilities.

Afaik the adra mantle ingredient comes from the Adra Pillar after you finish her quest however you deal with the souls in the lantern, but if you pushed her towards the darkness you can craft the threshing aura upgrade (which is insanely good, I have it, base 1% damage + 1% for every point in religion you have, it's gonna be +20% damage to the rest of the party at high level) while if you push her toward the light you get the spell defense upgrade. Both upgrades use the same quest material, but even if you have all the materials one is going to be unavailable, depending on how you've talked to her.

Dual wield full attacks do more than 2h attacks from stealth with Assassin, even if the second hit doesn't get the stealth bonus and deathblows, I thought? By the way, the fancy hat description says Serafen gives it to you. Do you remember this? If not, do you remember how you resolved his personal quest?

Answering my own questions again, Duskfall is from Family Pride and that's the next quest I'll be doing... I imagine all the 'crit chance' is hit to crit conversion unless someone proves me otherwise. That should still be around 90% crit chance with gambit, which is good enough to finish any combat?
-
@Aramintai, thanks alot of the pictures, some sweet gear there indeed. Especially that sword Duskfall, any idea where you got it? I need it now. And I wonder how that Fair Favor (again, where did you get this? :D) crit chance works - is it just 15% hit to crit conversion or something else? Like I wonder how Gambit works - is it just Hit to Crit conversion or mmorpg-esque "crit chance"? If you could somehow stack the two and get 95% crit chance before anything else, you could just spam Gambit over and over pretty much infinitely? Well, you probably still can...

Sneak Attack gives you extra damage when attacking a target that is either flanked or under any affliction. Backstab gives you extra damage when you attack from stealth or invis but you must be within 2 meters of the target. Deathblows is like Sneak Attack, gives you even more extra damage but the target must have two or more conditions that allow a Sneak Attack. No ability actually requires you to be behind the target (though that's nice for flanking).

Frostseeker can be upgraded to legendary. I just did. Apparently every unique item can be upgraded to legendary now? But only the next quality option shows one at a time.

They were the worst class for a long while iirc (in 1.xx game version) but got some buffs with White March (or maybe even before that) becoming quite respectable (White March talents and gear definitely helped too.) It was very common to hear people calling rangers bad, then being corrected, "they're decent/good now." Old lessons.

I'm sorry this is a question rather than a helpful response, but how long does the Ascended state last? I saw some beta discussion it was 20+ secs, I saw a 'guide' video with the buff hovered over and it was 12,5 secs, and you mention 30s in your post. I saw the frost volley bow and through "I want to make a ranger Cipher." I've definitely thought about Ascended, so I'd like to know the details.

Hunting or War Bow? Because if it's a War Bow, I could really enterain the Devoted/Monk build with it and the icy barrage bow. But yeah, Rangers are just... like what am I suppose to pick, some pet skills? Out of all the companions, I had the hardest time making level up choices for the sharpshooter, since most of the skills just seemed bad.
