Pathfinder via Steam
Ethics Gradient replied to ferrisvalyn's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)No. The Pathfinder Ambassador Program ended August of last year. What it offered, was that qualified players could purchase the $25 Pathfinder edition on steam and get a free upgrade to the $40 Obsidian Edition. Since then, the price has dropped quite a bit, where the base game is only $15 and the Obsidian Ed. is now $25. The game even drops to $5 or $10 every now and then if you're looking to catch it on sale. The current prices are a little better than what you could have managed with the ambassador deals, and it's an absolute steal if you're willing to wait for a discount.

Anyone found commands for pets
Ethics Gradient replied to Melusina's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Those are the three known promo pets. There does not appear to be any others hidden in the game at this time.

Any news about Scavenger Hunt and GOG.com Edition?
Ethics Gradient replied to LostHero's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Is it from discord? More codes? Yes discord. No, probably no more codes... I hope. Incidentally, though, I may have spotted #57 after checking out the press kit

Am I supposed to have the dlc season pass twice?
Ethics Gradient replied to Mikeymoonshine's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Not sure if it's too late, but there was a FAQ earlier, saying that if you wanted a refund for buying a DLC key before it became part of the $150+ backer tier to shoot them an email. Maybe they can still work something out.

Any chance we can get news on if new content is coming?
Ethics Gradient replied to ferrisvalyn's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)An Obsidian discord? Glad you asked! http://discord.gg/obsidian Usually not much Pathfinder talk happening there, but it's been a good source for Pillars/Deadfire stuff and general Obsidian news.

Custom Voice Set
Ethics Gradient replied to mrquincy's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There's no easiest way. Before going off and recording yourself saying the same things as those 155 files... you'd need some familiarity with the audio asset management suite that creates wem files. It's a tricky beast, but there are some Youtube video explaining how it works. https://www.audiokinetic.com/products/wwise/ Without a license, you're limited to (I think) 50 files at a time. After recording those 155 wav files, you could probably process them in batches until you have the full set.

Any news about Scavenger Hunt and GOG.com Edition?
Ethics Gradient replied to LostHero's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Sadly, there's no console command way of doing things without breaking achievements. Once you light off 'iroll20s', you start down a road that ends achievements for that playthrough. If you're cool with that, sure we can build a list of console commands to make it happen. If you want to earn achievements though..., gotta sit tight for a while.

Any news about Scavenger Hunt and GOG.com Edition?
Ethics Gradient replied to LostHero's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)For what it's worth, the Scavenger Hunt items are already in the game regardless of platform. The "DLC" is just a series of tiny notes informing the game to grant the player some bonus items. I'm only guessing what form the official fix will take, but the easiest solution would be a offering the Scavenger Hunt items as a free DLC pack on GOG, and bypassing the need to enter the 55 codes in the portal.

Any news about Scavenger Hunt and GOG.com Edition?
Ethics Gradient replied to LostHero's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I've heard from Aarik that they're still working to make it happen. However, if that doesn't pan out, it's entirely possible to build some kind of community fix pack. Let's give the developers a little bit of space to do things on their end, but if it doesn't seem like it will be possible, hopefully we can secure their blessing to fix it ourselves.

Berath's Blessing, how does this work?
Ethics Gradient replied to dunehunter's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)No. It's a New Game+ sort of mode. It's tied into the in-game achievement system, and on your next playthrough you will be able to turn on a certain set of modifiers to make the game easier, faster, different, etc...

The Deadfire Scavenger Codes - WE FOUND THEM ALL - Cutthroat Cosmo! - Bonus Pets!
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Was there a source on that? Someone convince a pre-release streamer to give it a try? Alrighty! I was just waiting on some confirmation before posting stuff! that might have been data-mined Thanks!

Chris Avellone: The Final Frontier
As someone who also had a professional background in stuff I agree. The last week of posts has felt like a case-study in the evaluation of single-source reporting. It's not a judgement on the veracity of Chris' claims, but in the last week his statements have: remained unconfirmed, been refuted, and while logically consistent in some areas, have been slow to fill in critical details that may actually support his story. The latest batch of statements have had improving credibility, but as an overall source, this whole episode has had a B-3 feel. Again, everything he said could entirely be true, but there is still a fair amount of work on Chris' side, or the analyst side, to corroborate the claims and build a narrative dominated by fact, not emotion. You aren't a "corporate shill" by saying, "I'm not willing to stake my reputation by taking these claims at face-value". It just makes you a shill for the methodological evaluation of information sources.

The Deadfire Scavenger Codes - WE FOUND THEM ALL - Cutthroat Cosmo! - Bonus Pets!
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Oh. Totally. Some er... poking around... as of a couple months ago found that a cosmic cat was quite likely to be the third bonus pet. Just haven't seen it advertised anywhere, and the only way to verify is to wait for release.
