I got a new monitor, so I didn't have much variety in my refresh rates while under linux. So I ran through a config to open up some more resolutions and whatnot, and it seems as though I am stupid and I accidentally put the default horizontal sync above the specs of my monitor. So basically, I need to know how to load up a safe mode (in Fedore Core 4) console so I can log in with 'root' and rerun that config file. Thanks.

I find Antialiasing to be buggy in a lot of games. I hardly use it because I don't really consider it to be much of a graphical improvement personally. I like Anisotropic filtering though.

Well aware of the outline of Aftermath thanks I'm a Half-Life junkie. I was just hoping it would be following Shephard I thought it would be neat to have a sequel to an expansion pack, with the sequel of the game that the first expansion pack was made for

What if it's not what you were hoping for? I considered enlisting in my military, but I didn't like the idea of having to be in it for 9 years (I was considering an Officer in the Canadian Army. 4 years of schooling to get my degree, and 5 years service. Even the 2 year requirement for NCM was a bit too much for me.

It does go on your resume. My friend basically got a job because he made the Half-Life Racer mod for Half-Life 2. And it wasn't even with a video game company either (although he recently just had an interview with Bioware). He's making another mod right now because he was surprised how useful it was for him getting work. Mods are big giant billboards saying "Look at me, I started this, and I stuck with it until it was finished, and if you look deeper you can see my mad technical skills...and check out my interface etc. etc." Mods are almost invaluable for a young programmer that doesn't have the years of experience.

I was hoping the expansion to Half-Life 2 would carry on his story. It'd be cool to see he and Gordon working in Parallel, even though they never realize that the other one is out there.

I've played Final Fantasy games on a Gameboy...and this was years ago (like 1993 or 1994). The game world was pretty diverse too IMO, and certainly large.

I could see ticket prices going down simply to win back the fans.

Unless much of the material in that system is taken up by the stars...(or something......It's late[early] so have mercy)

I say neigh! Because sometimes I think I'm a horse. I dunno.....something about them just makes me think they won't. Perhaps because I compare them to BIS, Bioware and whatnot, and from my limited memory none of them make handheld games either. I'd hope for no, for the purely selfish reason of I don't have a hand held, and likely will not be getting one :D

If I recall, his second level up will give him "Force Sensitive" which is like +40 to force points.

Despite which I still enjoyed playing coop I knew exactly what I was getting into, so the expectations make things easier.
