  1. Without the close-ups you are used to in porn flicks, and all within the graphic engine of the game, but yes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Still fully clothed right?
  2. Someone pointed out something neat at my University towards the end of the semester. I guess it's not uncommon for Microsoft to recruit people that do well in the programming challenges around the world. These challenges often involve programmers that are under a time crunch, and only really need to get something that works well enough to pass the test at the deadline, and perform it well enough that the judges approve EDIT: Doesn't Longhorn have 64-bit support?
  3. Basketball is more extreme I find, since it has smaller teams, and it's easier to justify paying one man a lot of money since one man can make more of a difference in basketball than probably any other team sport.
  4. I was able to find 7 people who still have existing contracts that would have been for more than $10 million dollars. This was also just based on salaries, not including any signing bonuses or anything. Nick Lidstrom Keith Tkachuk Alexei Yashin* Jaromir Jagr Peter Forsberg (for 3 of last 4 years, with a 9.5 mill in there) Sergei Fedorov Pavel Bure * Alexei Yashin's information is from tsn.ca, which states his salary for the upcoming year. Most were taken from USA today, since tsn.ca's analysis did not have free agents on their teams, so I had to look elsewhere for Forsberg's and whatnot. Honorably mentions: (Between 8 and 10 million...since I don't know of any bonuses on the contracts). Values in millions of dollars Joe Sakic: $9.8 Chris Pronger: $9.5 Rob Blake: $9.3 John LeClair: $9.0 Mike Modano: $9.0 Mats Sundin: $9.0 Bill Guerin: $8.9 Bobby Holik: $8.9 Doug Weight: $8.5 Jason Allison: $8.0 Curtis Joseph: $8.0 18 players in total. The NFL Page lists 21 players making over $10 million dollars, bonuses included. Going with a conservative 44 players on a football team (starters and one sub...and this is VERY conservative, given the Bills had over 60 players on their team roster), times 32 teams is 1408 players. So 1.5% of the NFLs active players make over $10 million. Going with a beefy 36 players (enough for two full teams to play a scrimmage), times 30 teams is 1080 players. So 1.7% of active NHL players make over $10 million. :D yes yes, this is goofy and not very accurate, but funny to me since I'm sleep deprived.
  5. Why is a dog going to town on some guy's leg not grounds for NC-17 ratings in movies???
  6. If it's any consolation J.E. I enjoyed IWD2 Fixed for politeness!
  7. I find the more we try to restrict sex, the more fascinated we are by it. I'm sure if we were all nekkid all the time, no one would care about catching a peek of anyone's jubblies, since it'd be so meh. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Most people's jubblies aren't worth a first look. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's just it. But even for those people, in our society, we all love a peek since they are so taboo!
  8. I'm all about freedom! :D EDIT: Referring to Role-Player's decision to vary the order of blood bathing and what not, not looking at jubblies.
  9. I find the more we try to restrict sex, the more fascinated we are by it. I'm sure if we were all nekkid all the time, no one would care about catching a peek of anyone's jubblies, since it'd be so meh.
  10. I think that has more to do with PC development being a little "lazy" and taking for granted the memory availability. Not that you weren't saying that. Call me Cpt Obvious!
  11. The best players in hockey make around $10 million though
  12. Boo to anyone that doesn't honour a contract, regardless of what side they're on. Then why are all the players saying "Why did we hold out? Goodenow gave us a crap deal!" Brett Favre made 5 million last year. Steve McNair brought in 6 million. The only goofy salary I could find was Peyton Manning, who only made 500k from his contract, but got 34 million from a signing bonus. The best players in the NFL tend to make ~$5-6 million dollars, with the odd exception, based on what little looking around I did at this site
  13. Err.....Deus Ex? :darque: Rome: Total War doesn't seem to be a dumb down. And while I don't think Splinter Cell was every a complicated series, I liked the changes in the third game, as it opened up options, and basically removed goofy restrictions on players (killing a civilian isn't going to end the mission anymore, but it will net you zero points for the mission).
  14. I would imagine the nervousness is because he didn't want to blow it :D EDIT: My Failure to recognize the :darque: made me miss the sarcasm.
  15. Just call it "The Aftermath of the Big Bombs going Kaboom"
  16. I find that ability to be rather empowering Apparently my friend just had a phone interview with Bioware. I haven't spoken with him directly, but he told my roommate it was probably the most nervous he had been in his life (or something to that effect.....I'm paraphrasing here )
  17. My roommate might disagree. He mentioned something about not liking the ending of the season. Plus there were many weeks the show didn't seem to come out :D
  18. Nah, someone somewhere just has to finally slap the stupid suit and go "Look at Invisibile War!" I think it'll take a bit of sucky, dumbed down games before they really realize they're no longer making money. Once they can't hit the golf course at their leisure, they start looking at things a bit more closely, and will realize that gamers AREN'T stupid, and will make good games. I predict this change will occur right about the time I enter the videogame market
  19. :alanschu: Soon I'll just stop with the 's, but I don't think I'm quite at the :darque: stage yet. It's an awfully big step to make to hit :darque:dom
  20. Didn't it take a lot of poking and prodding to get you to eventually pick up Deus Ex?
  21. In a goofy, misguided attempt to increase sales I imagine. Some big-wig somewhere goes "This game was good, but if we made it appeal to the masses, w0wzers I'd be- I mean we'd be rich!"
  22. It would let people fulfill their wacky Revan fantasies.
  23. Nah, it was more of a passive resistive agreement. A cold war agreement, so to speak :D
