  1. I liked my SS trooper vs Hitler analogy :D In fact, if you want you can take Milgram's experiment into consideration and just say that the people that enforce the actions aren't necessarily evil...they're just following orders
  2. But is it less evil? I wouldn't call it cowardly perse....perhaps smart. Look what happened to Dooku and Maul.
  3. How do they create these languages? Just have some voice over guys speak gibberish?
  4. I suppose I could endure it had I gone through their training. Fair enough. On a side note, I think the fact that I get all choked up over devastating scenes like that is because of all the time I spend on murder simulators. After all, they've desensitized me into a monster that cringes and feels empathy for the characters in realistic depicitons of war.
  5. The version I had heard was: "I see" said the blind man to his deaf wife while pissing in the wind. "It's all coming back to me now" :D
  6. Well, Mr. Schmartty pants..... Uh, hmmm.....drawing a blank.........hmmmm hmmmm............aha!! no wait.....hmmmm..mmmm......aaaa..ooo...no....mmmm
  7. Hey, if it makes you feel any better the opening scene (and several other scenes) in Saving Private Ryan were emotional for me, as I found them to be the most horrifying yet heroic display I had ever seen. There's no way I could see myself being able to find the courage to run up the beach. I have mad respect for anyone that had to endure D-Day, especially Omaha. Many other scenes like the Medic and the Waffen SS guy fighting Pvt. Melish also had me getting all choked up. If you haven't already, see if you can get a hold of HBO's Band of Brothers. It's also an emotional rollercoaster of following the troopers of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division. Easily one of the most enjoyable miniseries I had ever seen. It's cool listening to surviving members of Easy Company talk about their experience in Normandy/Europe.
  8. Dune 2 = video game = arguably the originator of the RTS series. Made by Westwood Studios waaaaaaay back in the day. You had House Atreides, House Harkonnen, and House Ordos. Harkonnen believed in superior firepower, and generally had the guys with the biggest guns. And their special weapon was a nuke! Although the special weapon of the Atreides was the Freman, which was pretty nice because they were autonomous Heavy Infantry (which were pretty powerful, had strong guns and a rocket pack as well) squads that would go around wreaking havoc until they were destroyed. It was good fun!
  9. Brenty's got skillz0rs! He left his audience just awestruck.
  10. I could never tolerate the wookie-speak. Whoever had the great idea of filming a Christmas episode with non-subtitled wookie speak, deserves a smack upside the head.
  11. Amazing Grace. Good song/poem/whatever you want to call it.
  12. I've only seen the film once, and it was while playing the computer so I didn't really "watch" it. I was probably too young at the time to truly appreciate the type of movie it was, and was probably hoping for more direct on fighting and whatnot.
  13. THAT one I remember :D Although the most annoying ones were rrarrwrrwrarrarrwrrrrarrrRERArrarRARaarr..RrarrraRARrRArRArrARRRRrrrrr and it's various iterations.
  14. Why do people think it's cowardly when a man is in charge and has so much control and power that he can have other people specifically do his dirty work for him? Furthermore, what does that have to do with how evil someone is? It'd be like saying an SS trooper was more evil than Hitler.
  15. I don't remember the twi'leks saying it. Maybe it's because it was too slow and I rarely made it through to the end of the speech file, whereas the stow-a-way was Mooka Shaka Paka'ing it up all night long.
  16. I really liked the first two test drive games.
  17. Am I the only one that didn't like the Aeris romance? In fact, I didn't even like Aeris all that much, but apparently there are people out there that shed tears when Sephiroth got her.
  18. Which reminded me of that killer dance Tim Robbins does in Nothing to Lose when his pants catch on fire!
  19. I always preferred the Harkonnen! They had cooler units in Dune 2 :D
  20. Walsingham crush...crush you to goo!
  21. I don't play RPGs to get experience though, so
  22. That wasn't a Twi'lek, it was that annoying stow-a-way.
  23. I just use the disable/attack droid force power to get rid of mines. It's soooo much faster.
