  1. Yes, as long as you have a good constitition ( wich lately i suggest warmingly)
  2. If you are pseudo-soloing ( i mean recruit some companion just to do the caed nua advenures, while you actually play the game alone) you can aim for belt of chimes or celebrante gloves, they will boost a lot your concentration. Anyway consider that accuracy is the easyest attribuite to pump, directly (gallant focus, eldicht aim, scroll of valor) or indirectly (blind from chill fog, ...). Just to make a comparison: if you aim good a chill fog and blind the mobs is like to get +20 accuracy for all attacks vs deflecion or reflexes. Get + 20/30 to concentration is more difficult or dispendious ( potions).
  3. Dump both agi & resolution is a thing i dislike in wiz. Your casting is both slow and easy to interrupt, if you doesn't manage to finish cast your spells doesn't matter how much strenght or per you have. Anyway you can also see my coldhearth wiz build if you are interested in tanky wizards
  4. Anyone thinks that the only god actually interested in helping kiths is wael ( and abbydon of course)? In the end is the only one that helps you with visions and doesn't ask anything to be pleased Megran is a traitorous bich, ethoas was gone in war frenzy and dead, ondra is the secret god police, skaen is the god of slaves but betrayed all other gods to serve woedica ( this will never make sense to me), galwain is more or less neutral, berath the same, rymgrand the same
  5. If you find it to easy ( and it is if you know good the game mechanichs) use a party with less members ( es 4 ), if you find also that easy then go solo.
  6. I had chosen too frozen lash for my loved drawn in spring... I just looked in the wiki for dragon immunities and was the least resisted overall. Anyway you can also go for corrode for slighty better performance on "normal" fights. But, hey, Remember that as long as you chant dragon trashed your melee damg is barely noticeable
  7. Solo or with a team? Btw i'm testing druid a bit since i want to try to solo the game with him... Just a couple of non-asked notes: 1) avenging storm doesn't work with retaliation anymore ( boerer will be so sad) 2) you actually don't need a super High dex imho. As far as you cast only "fast" spells the difference is barely noticeable ( es: rentless storm (lvl 5 storm) is easy to cast also at 10 dex while for returning storm ( lvl 3 storm) you need more if you don't want to be super interrupted. And i plan to use mainly rentless storm, form of dangleman, Sunbeam, overwhelming wave, world maw, wich are all fast or average speed. Also for dps dex is not super important : you can decide to go for daom potion dependency or double weapon style+frenzy, anyway you will reach 100% or 95% recovery while shapeshifted. Clearly have 20 agi intstead of 10 boost a bit your dmg, but i feel you can spend your points better in percepion, constitition or in non dumped res. 3) i can't decide between costal amanua, pale Elf or Moon godlike
  8. Actually if i go for a defensive builfe i took also both superior deflection & cautious attack. In the end that 20% malus to speed is barely noticeable for the exortations ( they are all fast to cast anyway) and you don't be the main dps anyway so also for auto attacks is not so painful. Clearly if you have space just for 1 talent i go for superior deflecion (like other said +3 deflecion are not worth the -20% attack speed generally, but +8 on the top of +5 are ok) But always consider that like most things in this game is more a question of playstile than anything else, expecially while playing with the full party you will not see big difference between taking it or skipping it.
  9. For when the pach came out Loren Tyr will get a new job
  10. I had really a smooth run with my Chanter, actually i had not *maxed* deflecion but fortitude. Max might, max con, 15 per, dump dex, 8 resolution. But i took sword&shield, cautious attack, superiore deflecion. Also Snake reflex, bear fortitude. Fortitude is the best defence imho, it prevents most of the negative status effects (wich are what really kills you in fights, 100 dmg from an aoe spell or a crit is nothing vs beign paralyzed or petryfied) During the fights you can also use llengrath potion + def scroll wich skyrockets your defences, and while you do... Dragon trashed... Another good thing was aila breccia shield, with all that deflecion some fight were trivial ( why you paralyze yourself, fellow languefath? Why you suicide with a cleaning flame thaos? Why you shot your missiles to yourself concelhaut?
  11. But if you play that way you die fast too OR have to kite/Split pull like a god, while with my plan i just sit waching the Word burn while they barely can touch me. And that is very satisfying
  12. Chanter is fine as it is. the game doesn't need a wizard-like clone ( like you MAY consider the druid), it is PRECISELY designed to be (and to be played) as a different class. The wiz ( and the druid) are designed to turbo cast their spells at the start of the fight for Cc and dmg, while Chanter simply is designed to be some kind of "long term supporter". On top of the he can be build in a lot of different ways tailoring him on your party. He can buff other ranged char, do massive dmg, heal, stun, tank, everything you want. And differently from wiz/druid/Priest he will NEVER run out of spells. Incidentally i think he is also the best class for solo, if you will ever try it. Btw, potd is thought as a difficulty to give something more to the players that mastered this game good enough to find it easy.
  13. Rejoice is the healing? In that case go for that... Anyway don't have fear: from next lvl you will use only dragon chant and seven nights as finisher. Is like building up combo pieces with dragon trashed and release all the pain in 1 shot. Usually do this alone kill everything. I usually pick the healing invocation just in case ( and can be actually good in little rooms) but hardly use it. The other option May be good for languafeth but not too much. Have fun with the mighty Chanter, Remember to stack as many deflecion that you can ( cautious attack, sword & shield, ecc ecc )
  14. You all noobs. Everybody knows the best and fastest way to pump up both Security and Prestige is just slaying llengrath and her's little friends
  15. They should stack, but ancient Memory should stop after the First invocation, as far i know
  16. In solo " wizard double" potion do wonders with paladins, fighters and chanters. And is very cheap. Llengrat instead is good for everyone, +25 to deflecion and reflex for a long time is really a nice buff, expecially vs boss. This potion is also one of the reason for wich lately i build all my solo char with High con & str: reflex are easy to boost by a huge amount ( shield bonus + llengrath can buy you up to +50 reflex, more or less). Instead fortitude is much more difficult to pump ( activate frenzy via sanguine plate is one of them), and at the same time fortitude is the defence that prevent more your death ( get paralyze/ petryfied/ weakened/ blinded / permastunned while soloing can be a death sentence ). Will on the other side is quite useless in solo: all the charm/dominate effects are more or less useless against you, fear aura of the dragons hit you no matter what ( and there is a scroll or steadfast for this problem). The only spell that is actually Dangerous is devotions for the faithful by enemy priests, but pump will just to protect against it is not resource-wise
  17. Yes BUT keep in mind that +40 deflection is pretty huge, actually if you boost wiz defences a bit with +40 you can reach a point in wich most enemies actually can't hit or crit you anymore ( and the duration is the whole Battle). It is actually one of most underrated and powerful potions imho. But they have a weakness too: you can get hit or crit also by attacks targeting reflex, fortitude or will, so for example this is useless vs dragons, since the massive accuracy of the fear aura will cancel them in seconds. The lvl 2 wiz spell ( illusory images?) instead creates 5 "shadows" of yourself and give you +25 deflecion. In that case every time you get one hit or crit you lose 1 Image AND 5 deflection, so the spell is depleted after 5 hits. The " iron skin spell" is depleted after 8 or 10 attacks if i Remember correcly. So the tooltips are not so exact sometimes... Edit: 5 min too slow
  18. Anyway the toughest part is between lvl 6-9, in wich winds of death start losing power... Do as much Quest in act 1-2 as possible and a bit of endless path to reach lvl 9 asap. After that you have only to care to not die because of your greediness, because dragon trashed change all encounter in a waiting game ( you just have to stay alive while all others die horribly consumed by flames)
  19. Good luck and have fun! Remember to eat ( both in game and in real Life! )
  20. Hi sking! If i could ask something: please modify some chiper's powers to be castable also on self ( soul shock, pain block, amplified whave). Secondarly: Would also be cool if combat does't end immediantly if you for some reason charm/dominate all the mobs or enogh mobs that they attack themself instead of you ( the moment they stop attacking you combat ends and all status resets, so using ringleader for example is often useless: you charm people, they stop attacking, combat ends, they attack you again while you have lost focus and buffs) Edit: if you could also move the druid's spell "Embrace the Earth-Talon" from lvl 5 to lvl 6. All the best spells of druid are the lvl 5 ones (rentless storm, plague of insects, earth talon), while lvl 6-7-8 are far less used. Wizard and Priest fore comparison have a better spell design in wich in every spell lvl there are 1-2 very strong spells, and you usually "consume" all lvls of spells at equal speed. With druid i always empty lvl 5 after 1-2 fights, while other lvls are still full. Thks for the support!
