So i read sometimes ago somewhere that someone used whisper of treason + charming item ( psichic spiral, munarca arret) on a pala, because sworn enemy added +15 accuracy and helped hit or crit with charm. I tester it also with oter char ( solo ): - overall: apparently worked with wood Elf racial/ +5 acc talent for distante enemies, but not both togheter (you get only +5 acc for foes >5m, not 10, conveniently the charm range is 7m) ranger: + it gains bonus from the infiltrator bound ( +10 acc when attacking same target of animali companion) + You have an animal companion for tanking + Twinned arrows and stun shot and guided flight make a very good combo, with sabra marie lot of people get confused - twin arrow suppress gallant focus - you are very fragile - everytime you confuse someone and he become "friendly", both ranger and companion stop attacking. This is a Very bad thing because if you hit charmed enemies the charm effect disappear, while hitting confused ones don't change confuse status, so you basically get free hits. Very micro-intensive Rogue + reckless assalult WORK with charm and work togheter with gallant focus, giving +12 accuracy togheter + Shadowing beyond is a great escaping tool + Some attacks can inflict weakened status that gives -20 to will, so is like +20 more acc for us - same as ranger To do: test if dirty fighting works with charm too ( i suppose yes )

Priest is super strong, but start really weak. Until you reach at least lvl 3 spells he give you wrong impression. After that iconic protection, seals, shining beacon start wreack things. High lvl spells like avatar, champion boon, crowns for the faithful are absurd powerful when you chain cast them. Read the fire Priest build of maxquest in the build index, is precise and tell you how abuse this class.

Poor Andrea Colombo... @jojobobo: thks for the note. I always thought that reckless assalult was a straight +8 in accuracy, i never noticed was restricted to melee. So paladin will have the edge, also for massive takyness compared to rogue. When i will be back from holydays i want to try this "Prince charming" build...

What spells get +12 accuracy from 1h? I tryed that with my Ice wiz but never observed a clear benefit in spell accuracy. surely not for chill fog Actually i'm a fan of mesmering rogue idea. Considering you start from 30 accuracy ( +5 vs pala) and take reckless assalult ( +8 accuracy) you have the same accuracy of a pala that had trown sworn enemy upon every mob! And without invest a single point in percepion. Heart Orlan for more crits, since you are going to have a lot of friends, actually you can stack 1 charm/encounter, 6 charm rest ( munarca + spiral) , 2 dominate/rest... Only things bothering me are rogue ridicolous tank capabilities...

Lol at boeroer, i'm just testing something similar too... A barb with max might, con, int, min res, dumped dex, flame godlike. Very elegant since he wear osric plate and spelltongue/purgatory, along with dragon maw shield. Barbaric Retaliatio + racial retaliation + potion of flame shield is wonderful. if He die vegenful defeat just rolled and osric take you back... He just cleared all craghold buffs with a single rest solo potd.

In my experience the problem with solo rogue is that you have to go for max stealth/pacifist strategy ( and skip most encounter) or kite/Split pull like there is no tomorrow or the mass scroll abuse like boeroer illustrate in his sorceror apprentice build. But go in "normal" melee was always a failure for me, simply he lacks the means to kill fast 4+ mobs ( like barbarian or monk) or to tank them while killing them slowly ( like pala or fighter). I always ending killing one or two people and die fast afterward, unless you run like a chiken and restart the fight recovering your abilities.

I'm doing a solo run with a flame godlike run, and incurred in the same problem, they permastunned me also if i had max con & str and i just was't able to activate even the self heals to kill them with retaliation. I did it after some reloads thoug. Some tricks are: - stay in the "middle" of the short corridor in the left of the entrance , with animati before you. When he dies, the shadows are usually in line and they attack only 1 at time, it helps a bit - before fan of flems cast a nature Mark scroll - eventually respect for 4 survival and get +10 vs spirits bonus

Moon godlike feel strong in the beginning, but the whole racial is a laugh if you compare it with what you can get (+4 str helmet + unbending 1/ encounter/ +3 str and retaliation-conservation/ helmets that Grant immunities), so in late game i always regret it a bit. Could help in a party thoug. But potions can do a similar job and be racial-free in cost. Fire godlike is good if you build around his retaliation. Other have just so bad racials that they are clearly beyond other helmed reces. Imho: i like tham for flavour, but not for powerplay.

Falcon torch with his +2 per doesn't matter much... Sure more percepion could help, simply this build has other priorities and i can't squeeze inside more per than the basal level. Anyway remember that spell order matter a lot in a fight! For example, i always start with chill fog. That spell rolls more hits during time so it will hit sooner or later ( on other hand fan of flame is only hit or miss). moreover You can stack more than one. After it hits, targets get usually blinded, so they get -20 def, -20 ref, so it't easy to stab them a bit with a melee weapon or hit a fan of flame. Remember that the First lvls are the more difficult, after that you will really have a lot of spells to use for chain casting and your power start exploding exponentially. My suggestions for early lvls are: 1) aim good chill fog, you have to be always in the yellow area, in wich enemies are hit but you not. So also if they surround you they get hit and blinded, but you not. 2) take asap arcane veil, +50 def at the beginning is huge, if you add wizard double you can reach invulnerabilità for a short time 3) use as much as possible chill fog and concellauth draining ( lvl 2 spell, the lvl 3 touch sucks), this will take vantage of your relatively High endurance and keep you Alice while chill fog kills everyone. 4)most of your best spells at beginning hits fortitude. You don't have good means to debuff that defence sadly. So maybe at start just avoid the High fortitude mobs ( trolls, ogres) 5) grab asap mechanic gloves from roedric hold ( day 7 in potd for me ) and hermit cap ( quest' at the bridge). They both require minimal fights and are good items for you.
