  1. Ooops my bad i wrote the pass without pass lock ... Sorry everyone and thks for help
  2. No just the version 3.03. In steam --> settings i choose " beta partecipation - steam beta update" What make me puzzled is that instead if i go in games --> pillars of eternity --> properties --> beta --> there is only " none - opt out all beta programs" selecatable, and i can't find a way to add more potions or change it
  3. I can't manage to play the beta, i checked all places on impostation of steam, but my version still remains 3.03
  4. The beta is already live? Edit: it downloaded a giant file at the start, in my steam account i signed for beta partecipation, but launching the game my version is still 3.03
  5. Search for "half orc" or "orc" in Google
  6. And what is the problem? That you have an icon you don't push all the time? I do that all day with the wacher abilities...
  7. Yeah i totally agree with boerer... When soloing in particolar, fortitude > every other def, even deflecion... And if you take a yellow potion you became pratically immune to every status effect ( they graze you all the time, and you subtract 4 sec to the duration) So i would go for max might & 15-18 in con with 8-10 points in resolve.
  8. I had always thought that +20% dmg > 2 dmg type, but thinking better i could be wrong the whole time... Anyway +20% dmg is the raw equal of +6-7 points in str, while for example lance and daggers get you +5 to accuracy, raw equal of +5 points in per, so is still more then fine imho
  9. I hate llengrath warding staff... Really, i would rather use the lvl 1 staff spell instead... Ok, it gives you some deflecion, but why a melee char would need to send away the opponets he is trying to beat? It irritates me
  10. Like i said in other places: if you go for a fully def Chanter build ( max str & cons for very High fortitude and health pool + sword & shield, medium shield or little savion later, cautious attack, bear fortitude, Snake reflex, excellent deflecion ) you can winning boss fights just drinking llengrath potions and casting defensive scrolls while the burning chant take care of everything. I succeded in "the ultimate" achivement that way, and the worst fight where the big dragons, but they were manageable after all
  11. Since when heart of fury became 1/encounter a lot of people "discovered" barbarian again, but he was always very strong in my opinion. Works good both offensively ( dual wield or 2h weapon, max might) or defensively ( sword &shield, max const). I think you can find some builds around, or just check some of boerer comments... If you want to be sure anyway go dual wield with a stunning weapon on one hand ( chlandillah or Godansthunyr) and spelltongue in the other, you will see wonders. The rogue on the other side was and still is very frigile, but there are a couple of interesting build: " tanky" with sword & shield, evasion, ripose ecc or "sorceror apprentice" in wich you became an half wizard ( since someone discovered that deathblows e works with spells --> from fireballs to direballs!)
  12. No you just are < lvl 13 with pala.. Edit: nevermind, i understood the opposite of what you said... Anyway pala is good for the First 2 shots ( flame of devotions) , after that fighter is better ( +5 starting accuracy, +10% dmg talent, -20% armor recovery, can prone 2 times a fight... )
  13. Only char that make good use of firebrand is barbarian imho... Or a paladin... I total agree with boerer and Andrea, is not overpowered at all, just good enough for early- mid game, after unique weapon go way better... Only 1 thing to note: firebrand targets reflex instead of deflecion, so usually this is better that +10 accuracy
  14. Lol i always tought that +10% aoe ring was bugged or something, since i was never able to see a real incrementation in the aoe, now i know why!
  15. Usually when i solo i go for 9 mech ( 11 with gloves) , 8 lore ( paralyze & confusione) and 4 in survival ( usually at the beginning for the +10 accuracy)
  16. Just go on playing, until at least half act 2 ( good luck to understand when you are at half act on your First game
  17. On a side note: i readed somewhere that if you repair the cannons before approch the iron flail fort, you could actually demolish the front Door with a cannon shot! @boeroer: yes yes, the band of paladins fampyrs that usually wipe your all party
  18. Let's say that you can unlock up to 3 "special ability" that works ONLY IN THE EYLESS CANYON ( so the utility is more for fun that actually needed) - Ogre matron horn : solve Ogre cave " peacefully",( don't kill Ogre matron) accept Ogre help after forging hammer; you can summon 2 or 3 Ogre that fights for you - trabuquet shot : solve iron flail fort " peacefully " ( don't kill other wacher); you get another ability that do aoe dmg + burn dot - cannon shot: if you repair the cannone of the tower; you get an ability that do good aoe dmg
  19. To obtain the Ogre horn,: -resolve peacefully the Ogre cave ( don't slay the matron and other ogres) - after forging abby hammer mathron will come at forge with other 2 ogres offering you the horn for help ( Note that you can solve the whole Ogre cave without killing a single Ogre ((just some languefath and Ice elemetals)) , in that case you will be "rewarded" with the presente of an Ogre merchant) More or less you can do the same with redceres troops, the chief will give you a "trabuquet shot" or something if you solve things peacefully Note2: did you know that if you are a human berath Priest you can actually talk to the vampire gang outside the Ogre cave and persuade them to help you? They will slain all the ogres at the entrance for you and offerta to sell some goods...
  20. My route is rest in valewood, slay asap xaurips, bandits and if my char is powerful enough the wolfes. Then reach gilded vale, take the rymgrand mantle, speed for the second time.
