Yes, actually I do have boxed copies of most of my Steam games - although, again, I think the boxed copy is better than a "pure" Steam copy as you can re-install faster with the disc than without one.

I was trying to play Hitman Bloodmoney but evidently my Steam copy decided to trigger the copy protection and now I have to re-install the game via my disc copy -I don't feel like downloading 4.6 gigs- if I want to play the game without RM-related glitches.

The latest official version, yes. You would, of course, have to add the 1.13 patch yourself if you wanted that. I would buy the main game first if I were you as the other two aren't that great iirc.
