  1. Hearts of Stone was a large DLC (by my reckoning), while Blood and Wine is a true expansion. Twenty dollars for an expansion isn't bad.
  2. * There's now an option to upscale in the game play menu. It doesn't down scaling.
  3. I feel no shame . . . because I am playing Blood and Wine.
  4. Go into the visuals menu and the HUD section. From there you can hide the ones you've already grayed out or turn them off completely.
  5. Been looking at the new changes and I like what I've seen. Highlights: * New UI. Much more user friendly. All the information is still there, but it doesn't feel like it clutters up the screen anymore. * Upgraded water. The old water animation is now considered the 'low graphics' option. The Ultra looks tons better. * Higher level cap. I'm playing in NG+ with a level 70 character (which was the level cap, regardless of the rumors of a limitless cap last year) and hit level 71 while messing around today. * Some new icons for different decoxtions and potions and . . . well, just about everything. (The changes they've made over the last 365 days to this game with the UI and icons, it now looks like a completely different game.) * New inventory screen (a bit of a mixed bag, on the one hand you don't have to cycle through them as much, on the other they combined books, junk, and plot items into the same screen). * The 'power wheel' works completely differently. It used to slow down time and was a two button system (left analog and 'A' button; I play on PC but use an Xbox controller), but now it is a full pause and only the left analog is needed to highlight the sign. This is a huge improvement, IMO. * The map now is easier to find the specific icon you're looking for. * Now you can uncap your frame rate in the menus. My rig is too weak to really test it out, but if you've got enough power, it's now an option. * There's now an option to turn off the sheathing/drawing sword animation in the menus. * The Alchemy menu is simplified by removing from the screen items you've already crafted so you can find what potions you don't have and what ingredients are missing. This is so helpful. * (I think they already added this in a previous patch, but even so I just now noticed it.) Quests are now stacked according to whichever open world zone you are currently in. If you're in Vellen, the Vellen quests are at the top of each menu, and so on. If I notice anything else, I'll let you guys know.
  6. I finally figured out which game this was, and then immediately bought it.
  7. Welcome to Firmsoft. As great as they are at atmosphere and gameplay, they've always sucked at narrative payoff in their games.
  8. This is quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen on this thread.
  9. I don't need to look. I bet the ending feels shoehorned in and uninspired. And you die.
  10. Nothing too fancy:over 5 years old intel i5-2300 (Sandy Bridge) 8 gigs of RAM MSI GTX 970, which I purchased to run W3 properly. I'm running most settings on ultra, including the CPU intensive ones, so I'm only getting around 50 FPS, drops down to around 30 in Novigrad. I'd imagine the main reason as to why do these pictures look as good is that I'm using a lightning mod. Thanks for the suggestion of the mod. Might install. Just need to figure out how once I get a few minutes. Looks awesome though. Keep the screens coming! If you're grabbing mods, you might as well grab the HD textures mod. Also, if you have unsteady frame rates you can cap them at 30 (which is what I do because if I don't, with everything turned up, depending on the weather (in the game) they jump between the mid fifties and thirties).
  11. The Immortal Alchemist build, that's a good one.
  12. Godling, that's what the creature was called.
  13. Actually that's a fair assessment, I felt very confused and slightly awkward when every male in 10 mile radius keeps hitting on my ugly ass male protagonists. I sure did not expect to feel those emotions at those particular times. I like making my characters ugly. It's especially hilarious in BioWare games as companions still hit on you as if your a walking sex symbol with an over bite.
  14. I haven't done that since Mass Effect 3, which is probably why I refuse to clear out my day for a new game lest I be disappointed twice over (for the game and for not getting paid for that day).
  15. I am now going to finish my every spoken sentence with, "but at what cost?"
  16. I calculated that wrong, if B&W had a level 50 requirement it would be level 80 in NG+. (NG+ is plus 30 to all level requirements.)
  17. Are they going to up the level cap? Currently the cap sits at 70, which means the level requirement for B&B will be 100 (an impossible level to reach) in new game plus.
  18. I dearly hope this does not mean they're making Mass Effect: Inquisition - revenge of the checklist Mass Effect: Shard Search.
  19. The important thing is if it's sexable.
  20. Have you seen the original Django film by Sergio Corbucci with Franco Nero? I think it holds up really well. Not yet, but it's been on my bucket list for awhile.
  21. That's not weird. -_-'
  22. Went on a Spaghetti Westerns kick and rewatched the Dollars trilogy. I love me some antiheroes in Westerns.
  23. Slightly off topic: The worst book I've ever been assigned to read was Catcher in the Rye. The fact that the book was written by a kid right out of high school who had no clue what he wanted to do with his life and was about a kid out of high school who had no clue what he wanted to do with his life seems to be lost on English professors.
