Keeping enemies engaged?
Did I say you were min/maxing? My point was that pure tanks aren't viable, and using twiner builds, for everybody in your party, is the best way to get engagements to stick (or rather, keeping mobs from spamming disengagement abilities to race right for your back line). Not an infallible way, but the best. Engagements aren't meant to make mobs stick so much as giving font liners an extra attack.

Keeping enemies engaged?
@OP:this is the thing to keep in mind, pure tanks were nerfed. The best way to get an attacker to 'stick' to a tank is to give him some DPS, avoid min/maxing the other companions, use crowd control skills, and give all your squishies disengagement abilities so they can break engagement.

Pokémon Coke and Pokémon Pepsi. Cool, so long as I get to hunt the Pokémon for sustenance.

I never understood what was supposed to be so scary about a pompadour. Tattoo for each prison shank = scary. Bleach blonde pompadour = colorblind Elvis impersonator.

What does it say about me that I first read that as flatulence?

Why do people watch/love "Let's play..." videos?
This. I don't often watch more than a few episodes of a Let's Play because I'm usually looking for a game to buy and I don't want any huge spoilers.

What are you playing right now?
I just finally finished DAI. Played on nightmare and still one-shot 7 of the 10 dragons (to be fair, I spected my character to do exactly that). I would've one-shot all the main bosses except that you can't because plot (dang BioWare with there 'cut bosses HP to 1/3 and cut scene, cut bosses HP to 1/2 and cut scene, and cut bosses HP to 2/3 and cut scene narrative). Still, I did get to take out the half that was left of the final bosses life with one hit (after the last combat interrupting cut scene) while he was in the middle of boasting. (The combat in this game is about as deep as a puddle.) Over all, I'd give the game 6/10.

Fallout 4...
Or they could double down and do "Two Ghouls, One Fridge". **** that. This time there's an entire ghoul family in a fridge. Yep, you open it up and they poor out like a freaking clown car. Then they all wanna look for the youngest sibling of the family, who has spent 200 years looking for them. Their son is a mirelurk now because reasons. Or they could just go BioWare with the world in a fridge. Shepard: Clearly, in a galaxy with trillions of sapient lifeforms, I'm the only person who can save civilization.

Spent $70 on this game... can't seem to play more than a bit of it
I backed Numenera years ago. Even though I already bought my copy, I'm perfectly fine if I don't like TTN because was Pillars was the game I really wanted.

White March Part 2 Reviews
I get the feeling the reviewer just kinda sucks at the game (which isn't a dig even if it sounds like one; I admit that I suck at action rpgs).

New Fighter Class Talents
Is a crowd control specialist fighter viable?

Finally playing through whole game - Which Class?
I'm planning on doing a bare fisted monk (hatchet s will be my secondary weapon). My race will be Death godlike (yeah, that's right, a Death Monk) of aumaua size. All though I won't be able to do quite as much DPS as a rogue, I still expect Lykata will lead my party in damage and kills.

Data miners unite!
Is it just me, or do the new monk talents look pretty bad? Skyward Kick only causes prone for 3 seconds? Unless it does massive damage, there's no point.

I love the way he makes the distinction in the title. Kinda tells you where we are as a society. XD

What are you playing right now?
What genre of game are you looking for? I'm currently playing Styx the master of shadows, which is a stealth game (in the original sense: you're sneaking because you suck at combat) and it plays well with a controller. The level design is perfect for a stealth game, by the way.

Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part II will be released on February 16th!
A quick Google search told me that 11AM US Central translates into 6PM European Central.

Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part II will be released on February 16th!
Steam always releases games and updates around 11 PM central time on the release day. TWM 2 will be the same. Central Standard Time, Central European Time or something else? Central US time. Sorry for not being specific. I believe Steam is located on US west coast and they're employees work banker hours (9AM to 5PM), so they don't do regional midnight releases.

David Gaider is now the Creative Director of Beamdog
Am I the only person who liked Dragon Age Origins Awakening? I thought DA2 would've been ten times better if BioWare had expanded DA:O:A (by a lot) and made that the sequel.
