  1. See, you're another one, I didn't say an MMO just multi-player co-op and you got that. So why don't you want it? I don't understand, its optional to you. Is it just to make other people unhappy or something because you'll enjoy it more if others can't play with friends because you can't or something?
  2. Well think about the mechanics of multiplayer BG1/2 its not difficult to add, just a custom companions that can be controlled over the internet by friends to co-op in your story. I found a lot of selfish people saying that about the multiplayer aswell, basically saying don't add multi-player for all the people that wanted it simply because they didn't like it and had some kinda single player elitism. Its OPTIONAL, if you don't want to play it thats fine, but why be a nay-sayer to those that want to co-op with friends? its not taking away from your experience, I don't want an MMO just co-op story.
  3. Tbh I'm still on act one (level 11 lol and beat the adra dragon, I'm REALLY doing everything but the main quest =D) but I agree with what your saying, Imma avoid the rest of this post for spoilers but yeah I was under the impression the expansion was to level 20 or something, new spells and more story moving on.
  4. Hey I usually come on here to complain and explain about bugs and the like (which I don't feel is wrong, its necessary) and that I want multi-player, which I still do lol. But I feel when we really like something we just like it and don't actually say anything feeling that they know we obviously appreciate them and their creation. So all you ever see is negative feedback and complaints. Just came on to say good job guys, you're amazing, its a truly wonderful game and achievement and its surely going to echo through-out history as one of the big name legendary games, it already is. I don't even think people understand how fast this game is, there seems to be so much multiple dialogue for just each individual person, to what you ask and say to them, to how they react to you based on your reputation, to your stats and ability checks, the amount of attention to detail is astonishing and all that work is extremely noticable in the details. Infact its no surprise some obvious bugs slipped by you guys as you were so focused on the immense amount of content you were putting into this game. Well done, love ya guys and you've my gratitude and supreme respect =D PS: Seriously though add multiplayer and it'll be even more legendary =D
  5. wut Gwisk Glas and Vengiatta Rugia are the only suits of armor in the game that start with the superb enchantment. Hmm really? maybe I was wrong then, sry the wikia seems a little incorrect, there is a lot of holes in it, I looked it up, but yeah guess your right maybe he did cheat. Also I've been hearing from a few people that there is hidden adra whelps that dragon adra dragon scales and that shes not the only source, this game still shrouded in a lot of mystery. Its a shame I beat her and got these scales but then got this cool badass mage armor thats already superb and got cool enchats lol, what am I even ment to use it on? also sadly armor enchants don't even work in this patch lol, I really wanna do something with these adra Dragon scales. Seriously can't I just eat them and gain soul power or some bull****? when I saw all the gold, I was totally and utterly underwhelmed, I've never cared at all about money, just power. I thought I'd get to like drain all the souls from the adra and transcend into some extremely powerful being, getting a few + stats and talents, like she was talking about what she did, the heart of the world and all that, instead its just a bunch of gold you can't even loot unlike Nwn2, and even if you could and it was say 100k to 200k gold, that be cool and all but I still wouldn't be bothered lol.
  6. Hey sorry lol I didn't record it and can't really be bothered lol but I solo'd it on hard, not PoTD sadly but I'm not on that and feel I could as the strategy seems the same, and still soloing her at all especially on hard when most people can't beat her I think is awesome. Thanks to Faylon the paladin because looking at his video It just seemed I needed just a little bit more defenses, I had 100 of about all and I thought if that wasn't gonna work nothing would, but seeing I just needed about 150+ really helped me out and makes an immense difference in the fight, to think I was only one more buff away from not only beating her with a party but soloing her. I did this on a Wizard at level 10 or 11 and heres some of the things you could use and would be helpful. Firstly My wizard has 19 resolve, 17 perception and 18 constitution (base stats) 21/20/19 boost by items. Talents: Sword and Shield style, superior Deflection (you could also get cautious attack, I don't though) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Items: A good 12 Def/ -4 accuracy shield thats exceptional (or well the better shield you get in the dragons stash but well you can't use that till you beat her =P (I used Ilffan Bryngar's Solace) and any hatchet for +5 deflection. With this stuff I was standing at wat like 104-106? deflection if I recall. Rotfingers gaunlets for the debuff, 10+ ring of deflection, some eldritch aim potions wouldn't go amiss, and the combusting wounds ring (you could also just use casts its not necessary and instead have the ring of wonders for a safety net, but honestly it was going so well it wasn't even needed) Edit: Also Aura of Lillith Cape +2 resolve on armor for 5+ defelection, +6 on reflexes and +4 will. Btw I'd just like to state I don't think any of these items after the hatchet and shield are necessary to do this they just make it a little more streamlined. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strategy: The fight was actually pretty easy tbh once I thought of this strategy DISABLE AUTO ATTACK, YOU DON'T WANT TO AUTO ATTACK HER SHE WILL JUST AUTO TERRIFY YOU. You want to start the fight casting Ironskin so you arn't 1 hit (also maybe health infusion if you arn't as tanky as me but I don't need it), and llengrath's Safeguard, after he does the Wing Blast aoe thing and takes you below 50% that will proc llengraths, then use another buff lengraths displaced image. This will take you above 100 defensives and 150+ deflection, after this heal up with a potion or whatever heals you got. After this you really just wanna chill out and ignore her and wait for all the adds to come (you can tank her and pretty much anything at this point) you could burst her or wait for adds to come and start aoeing them all, but honestly I don't waste the spell casts, I just sit there (not attacking so she doesn't terrify me) all the adds will come in a few seconds, she'll wing blast again and kill the entire set of enemies except for this one high priest that for some reason survives above the others lol then start. After they are all out the way, use rotfingers gloves and debuff her, drink a potion of eldritch aim and use the ring of combusting wounds on her, then use Ninagauths Freezing Pillar if there is that priest alive, hit them both, kill her and start the damage on her. (if she doesn't kill the adds after about 10-20 seconds just got ahead and use that Frozen pillar on them all and the rotfingers poison dot and that should wreck them all, a noxious burst for good measure if you want them out the way fast, 4 llengraths displaced image is more than enough time to finish her off, infact id say 2 is fine but keep 3 just for safety, after you start stacking your stuff on her she'll go down at a pretty fast pace) Then just cast Wall of flame and Wall of force over and over whilst keeping up combusting wounds (be sure to rotfingers gloves debuff and eldritch aim to make sure you hit with all combusting wounds) and basically this will shred, her death by thousands of very quick burning cuts. After you have like 4 walls of fire and 3 walls of force on her + the combusting wounds (even if wounds isnt a dot im not sure) its like 14 damage a second beacuse her DR will still let through 20% whilst each hit combusting a wound (and If combusting wounds is a dot I'm not sure its actually like 43 dmg a second, it kinda seems untestable, either way its still tons of dmg) (use all your fasts of those levels on Wall of fire/force) you could use some of your casts on combusting wounds too if your ring runs out and some concelhauts corrosive siphon when its up (this does FULL damage + procs combusting wounds since its a DoT bypassing DR) Either way the walls will overkill her, but you may aswell keep hitting her with stuff whilst they are up, so yeah corrosive siphon, whilst keeping up your two llengraths defensive buffs, start doing some chill fogs after its all expended if shes not already dead. Relax and wait for her to die, or if you want some epic flair when shes near death use Ring of Death and super overkill her. Well fought and great fight beautiful and powerful Dragon. PS: btw she's a woman, for **** sake everyone stop saying "He" jesus lol.

  7. Oh did I really make this twice? sorry.
  8. Wtf are you guys talking about? you can get adra dragon scales off mini adra dragons. Also that armor COMES superb.
  9. Killing the Adra dragon after that extremely difficult fight proved pretty worthless? =/ The Upgraded DR you get from fine/exceptional/superb doesn't actually work, it doesn't upgrade your DR at all. Neither in practise if you look at the combat logs, or even in the character sheet to show it. This is in patch 1.06 which I'm sure is the latest patch right?
  10. Hey is Multiplayer in the works? so many people wanted it and whilst I'm not sure, surely it can't be hard to add some online? don't even need servers, just give us the IP option for people ot use LAN and its basically just the main game but with anotehr real person controlling another custom companion of their own design. It doesn't seem to complex to add, it was just a simple extra party member controlled by friends over the internet for the BG/NWN/IWD games. Are you guys thinking about adding it? I actually put off buying this game for months because it simply didn't have it, you could get a LOT more sales and I'm dying to play it with my friends, we are all dying to play it toghether.
  11. Apparently a bug here has flown under the radar and its one everyone is getting but don't notice at first. Progressively longer and longer and longer save/load and transition times, starting at an instant to a few seconds eventually going up to 2-3 minutes and beyond. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72764-quick-saving-and-loading-times-increased-greatly-after-20-hours/ I linked it here, please read this thouroughly as I'm just starting to experience it now and its painful for a game like this where you are constantly transitioning
  12. I snagged the Pillars guidebook off of Amazon, and I've been doing a lot of reading between loading screens I may actually put further progress on hold until I can get some kind of fix. If I knew anything about coding, I'd take a crack at modding the game files to turn off autosaving myself. And woo, go team Truthadin! Actually... wait, what if that's the common link? IEMod turns off auto saving in the IE mod options, google it, eternity IE mod.
  13. I do something similar on my wizard so I can fight without spells so much. Not that much dmg but and ofc no sneak attack.
  14. Well its named after the omega hard mode of IWD, gotta be worth something.
  15. Nah, I know lol, they're fine, great even. I just heard about this mechanic and it sounded so unique and powerful and just my style and they removed it. Was really disappointed not to see it in play, I actually heard of it way after it was removed. That was just a pissed off reaction.
  16. Don't know If I'm a master but I've played and beat many games on the hardest mode (but not this one as I didnt want it too unfair on me for roleplay purposes) But I'm soloing the game right now on hard just 1 person (i may take one other now and then for their quest but thats it) and honestly. I'm a Wizard and mostly just out-tanking and blasting stuff down. Honestly the I'd give you, though its a bit simple is just focus very hard on deflection. Make a build at start and just max Resolve and then Perception with as much histories/bonus's you can get. Then get a sword and the 2nd level shield -4 accuracy, and focus on getting it the best enchantment, get the defensive talent sword and shield style and whatever abilities to increase deflection more. Thats the way to beat everything, I may not be on the hardest mode and it aint easy at all, but im the second hardest and ALONE not a party of 8 and I've found just getting ridiculous deflection makes huge differences, most MAGIC attacks deflection, barely anything doesn't. And that that does, if your other passive defenses don't block it, well its a rare ability and nothing really 1 shots, so after its over its just gonna be more hitting that your deflection will block and heal up. Secondly focus all this and mostly on your main character above all others, try to make them stronger at EVERYTHING than all your party members. Lastly, go to defiance bay, go to oddra's gift early as you can and buy "The Ring of Wonders" it gives second chance (the ability to get up after you die) and it works once per encounter automatically If your character is in a fight and you die and it activates just get up and abandon the fight, thats how to be safest. Good luck.
  17. So you're complaining because you chose to power through the game, being much lower level than the average player would against a given enemy, and your spells are missing? This is a choice you made, and it comes with its own set of rewards and consequences. You realize, though, that your accuracy increases as you level? Not being great against wolves/lions/bandits at low level makes perfect sense to me. If you were to suddenly venture out into an African savannah, with little prior shooting/hunting experience, would you expect to hit every lion before it tore you to pieces? With auto attacks being pretty dang decent in this game (which may be all you need for easy enemies), I don't personally see a significant balance problem. Actually I realise now the **** I fought was apparently ment to be pretty hard Elder lions and Elder wolves. I killed the Drake and the Xaurip high priests and these two eld/lion/wolf have superseded them on "strongest enemy killed"
  18. It seems, on patch 1.06 anyway which I believe is the latest to the community. That enchanting chest armor/clothing and gaining extra DR doesn't actually apply or work. It says you have the +2-6 DR on the magical effects window, but it doesn't add to your characters DR score on the character sheet. I tested it to see if this was just a character sheet visual bug and its not. I have some cloth robes with 5 DR and 2+DR enchanted (fine) and the +2 DR doesn't apply. In the combat log its still registered as simply +5DR not adding the extra +2 from fine enchantment. I've did a little research and this is a really obscure problem, but one other person wrote about this and it apparently occured with one of the more recent patches.
  19. Hmm btw yeah sorry your right, I'm 1.06 but it is working, dunno why It didn't before. Sorry for wasting your time, gj.
  20. Yeah but it seems the fire godlikes 50% activation marker is marked by a script called "FireGodlikeTrait" and the rest of it is in the unity file.
  21. Where are the PoE Scripts located? I made a new one aswell as made a change to a skill but I think it needs the script with it. Can I just put both these changes in the override folder? Would putting a script in there work too? otherwise where does it go and where are the other scripts? I can find all the other files like spells and things but not their other half script component, if they have one.
  22. Right, and then you have spells like Miasma of Dull-Mindedness (mage), Painful Interdiction (priest) and Tanglefoot and Nature's Mark (druid) that all stack for some really major debuffs. On my max level mage, I usually open with the crit-boosting self buff that lasts a long time, followed by Eldritch Aim, and then my CC is going to be pretty effective, especially since my druid has been debuffing the enemy in the meantime. Oh, my cipher opens with Amplified Wave to give my mage and druid time to start shining with their CCs and AoE nukes. This game is supposed to be tactical. If you want a simpler game, there are plenty of those out there. If you want to be rewarded for thinking strategically, that's one of the things PoE was designed to do. I play dark souls/dark souls 2 +7/ bg1/2 on hard mode (pretty much always solo or with one partner) aswell as nwn2 and this and have been playing the witcher 3 on death march. Do I look like I'm looking for a simple easy game? just because I'm asking for class balance doesn't mean I want it easy, about 70-80% of people have rated wizards as underwhelming or underpowered. I just beat the drake and all his high priests in the place below the keep on hard/expert mode with 4 party memebers each at level 4-5 and I beat raedric at level 4 SOLO on hard after like 7ish tries, when people are complaining about him being impossible with a party of 6. I'm not saying u shouldn't have to debuff enemies, but you had to do that too in BG2 and spells still always hit, you SHOULDN'T have to debuff a couple of mundune wolves/lions/bandits, its just ****ing annoying and a waste of spells.
  23. I beat Demagorgorgon on hard mode solo dude.... with my warrior/mage. I'm not talking about god like monsters, I'm talking about like 3 wolves with like 10-20% hp left and u just need to finish them off but ur pretty low but it should be cool. Then oops fan of flame misses 3 times and then ur low hp and die... I don't want to spend my extremely limited spells just debuffing to hit with normal spells that may just get healed through by an enemy priest/mage/warrior potion.
