  1. Rented Need for Speed Carbon. I'm glad it wasn't oversaturated with hip-hop music. An ok game but the learning curve is horrid. I found it very easy most of the way through and when I got to the last tier KAPOW! can't win any races, everyone has level 3 rides except me and my super tricked out Tuner is useless and I don't have a penny to my name. Back to Blockbuster it went. Then I tried the Silverfall Demo. This looks very promising but this version was badly put together. Controls are terrible with too many graphic glitches and character creation is only a matter of choosing a race. To its defence many features were not implemented yet and some non-glitchy graphics are very nice, cell-shaded characters over 3D environments. Lots of potential here. I'm currently playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein bu t I think I'll uninstall due to some motion sickness. Strange.
  2. A Night at the Museum Entertaining. Stiller does his usual shtick but it's nowhere near as funny as Zoolander and aside from fantasy becoming reality and Robin Williams it has nothing to do with Jumanji. If anyone feels like seeing another Jumanji film, rent Zathura instead. (some critiques are comparing it to Jumanji for some reason).
  3. I wish I was your nephew.
  4. That is one of my favorites. At first I thought it would one of those little girly anime thingies(which it kinda is) but I was hooked from the start. It's some of the best character development I ever seen.

Looks like Hiro finds his sword! (w00t)
  10. 15 times in the theaters??? You must be a LotR geek to have seen the movie that many times. Didn't you get sick of it at all? Besides, I don't really like LotR my self, in fact, this clip here sums up what I think of it pretty well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoDamxLPbPs...related&search= Nah, not really. My profile will tell you a different story. The Lord of the Rings movies are awesome if you ask me, but I don't like TTT and RotK as much as FotR. But to watch FotR 15 times in the cinemas? Talk about overkill. But I guess I can't talk, I've watched FotR 5 times, TTT 4 times and RotK 4 times, which I guess can be considered as overkill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First, I saw it with different people. A girl, a guy, my mom, my sister, etc. Second, at the time I just couldn't find anything else in theaters that seemed better. Third, it was the first fantasy epic since what... Conan? Fourth, it<s better because the Fellowship is together. Same with the books. Finally, FotR was THAT good! In thaters I saw TTT 5x and RotK 2x. I prefer RotK over TTT though and about the long ending, a 20 minutes conclusion to a 12 hour movie really isn't that bad at all.
  11. Ok this is getting strange... Last night my hard drive completely crashed, probably due to a virus. I was unable to access Windows at all and I had to reformat. To note is that I was 64 hours into Oblivion.
  12. Well I downloaded and installed Silkroad and the server is "being inspected or undergoing updates" which sucks cuz the screencaps look nice and I wanted to try it this afternoon at work since they're keeping some of us in the office while all the unionized workers(over 200 of them) are heading home for the holidays at noon and I wanted revenge... By the way, since when does a bot have a MODERATOR tag under their avatar?
  13. The only good part of that film is when the Jewish writer gets it. (Not because he's Jewish but because he's extra annoying)
  14. I would use The Lord of the Rings Collector's Edition which comes with a cloth map of Middle-Earth and leather bindings and stuff. (w00t)
  15. How else would they be done? From what little I understand, I thought it was not uncommon for actors to respeak many lines of text that they say in the movie again in a recording studio during post production. Including the live actors. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For cartoons and CG films like Shrek, the voices are done before the animation. Of course this doesnt preclude post prod "touch-up" work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The purpose is probably to match lips with words. I don't believe it's that important with Transformers since, you know, robots don't have lips and all.
  16. Is anyone playing Guild Wars? I have a gift certificate from EBGames to spend.
  17. Sturm, if you really want to try, download the 14 day free trial. Although it was free, I played for an hour and uninstalled it. Yes, it sucks.
  18. I will accept "The Thin Line" to close this argument before making a bigger fool out of myself.
  19. Well, Nano is dead and his brother can't help him up.
  20. Part 1 of The 10th Kingdom.
  21. It would've been funnier if it wasn't in response to a person highly affected by the event in question. In this case one may get a chuckle but it is mostly just mean. Like laughing at an elderly woman falling from a slippery sidewalk and break a hip. <_<
  22. Oblivion. Fading.
  23. so a dictatorship is a semi-democracy? but without elections? ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. Democracy is an illusion.
  24. Democracy is a semi-dictatorship. The Dictator is(theoretically) elected.
  25. The problem with the actors in the PT is that they weren't given anything at all. The main job of a director is directing the actors. The term "Director" comes from this. All Lucas did in the PT was oversee the special effects, the CGI, the models. You can see all this in the truly excellent extras on the Phantom Menace DVD#2. Lucas even says that "we hired good actors and we let them do what they do best. I'm not worried" or something so very similar. If Lucas would've put as much effort in the direction and depth of his characters(who are full of potential, even Jar Jar) as he did for his little toys, the PT would've been fantastic. But in the end, the PT is a six hour toy commercial, nothing more. Oh and by the way, George Lucas wrote, produced and directed A New Hope.
