Favorite Toys
One year a few days before Christmas my parents weren't home and I was babysitting my sister. We sneaked in their bedroom, hunting for treasure and when we open the closet door all our gifts were there, unwrapped... When Christmas day came I had to fake a surprised look when unrapping Snake Mountain(Skeletor's Lair - He-Man). I thought I did a good job until many years later when I was wondering why my parents always kept their bedroom door locked ever since that year... :">

KotoR 3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion
I wouldn't be surprised if K3 was built over the NWN2 engine. I'd like something radically different though. And something completed, rushed or not but complete please.

Favorite Toys
Are you saving them for a reason? Like for your own children or eBay?

Would more U.S. troops help stop Iraq violence?
Clausewitz discovered that by applying greater force to a smaller one, the greater force loses less casualties. So your over-simplistic model fails. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This reminds me of the land battles in Master of Orion 2 for some reason...

Favorite Toys
Aside from LEGO, mine were mostly G.I. Joe, the 4'' figures not the 12''. I also enjoyed Sectors, the COPS figures and He-Man. I never had Transformers of my own though. So what are/were your favorite toys? Post links/pics if you can please. P.S. I would use LEGOs for everything, from building extra armour for G.I.Joe vehicles to castles or forts and stuff. EDIT: A link

The funny videos thread
Can we agree that all those interviewed in that clip are retarded Americans or at the very least, ignoramuses?

Yes. And a few months later Canadian soldiers will capture him, hiding in a hole in the ground... "

Oblivion expansion announced!
I love Oblivion too but for some reason, after my hard drive crashed and I lost all my data, I just don,t feel like starting a new game. Maybe it's all those generic, repetitive quests from all the guilds that get me bummed. Maybe it's crappy rewards for completing quests at low level. Meh. I'll start a new game when GotY Edition comes out.

Oblivion expansion announced!
That was my plan at first. But now I'll wait for a game of the year edition that includes everything. A cloth map of Cyrodiil would be nice too.

Would more U.S. troops help stop Iraq violence?
I remember shortly after 9/11, GWB was given "Emergency Powers" which basically gives him the freedom to use the military how ever he sees fit. Not sure if it is still in effect though, especially since he always asked congress for his "loans" and troops. Could've been just for show though.

What are you playing now?
Kingdom Hearts 2 Actually I'm helping my wife when she runs into a snag. Last night we finally beat the Reaper boss in Port Royale, which was probably the toughest most frustrating enemy so far in the game. It's a long fight that requires a lot of running around and we would exchange the controller to "rest". I ended up being the one to actually land the killing blow, in Master Form and I must say it was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've had in looong time.

Oblivion expansion announced!
I totally agree. Way too repetitive. There are supposed to be like 16 Daedra Lords each with their own realm and I was expecting each realm to be different, reflecting the Lord that rules over them. The Trickster could've had a bunch of illusions for example. But they were all the same, hell-like levels. meh.

The Worst Game Endings
It is, kinda. No game needs an ending thats wide open. Thief 1 hints at a possible sequel, but raps the game up nicely. I really dislike the trend of games that don't finish the story. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like KotOR2...

The Worst Game Endings
Aeris's death shocked me because it was the first time a major party member died in games for me and I never saw it coming. I was like "woah, Sephiroth is soo gonna get it now. Cloud will save her for sure. Then I thought the rest of the game would be about getting her out of the life stream. However, like Alan, I was moved a lot more by the relashionship between Tifa and Cloud, especially during the scene when Cloud finds himself. The music in this scene is also quite fantastic. As for bad endings... Morrowind's "ending" sucked. DOOM: I remember wanting to see this so bad but getting a huge disapointment. A skewered bunny. WTF? X-COM<s ending was also quite crappy with one of the easiest final bosses I've ever faced. As for best ones, I'd have to say FF7 tops my list. A 30 minute CGI movie depicting the end of the world and its rebirth. I mean... wow. With a little extra after the credits. Then I'd say Metal Gear Solid, followed by God of War.

Movies You Have Seen Lately
Children of Men I really, really liked it. Some scenes are very powerful, most notably a certain "cease fire" scene that made me shed a tear a two. The future depicted in this film is so plausible it's frightening.

What a Baby is Alive?
You know, a great man once said: "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you." During pregnancy, that is basically the father's role I find. And after pregnancy, the parent's role is not limited to the mother, it's pretty much 50/50. No court decision can change that either.

What a Baby is Alive?
All true Sandman but some things you forget. First, there are some side-effect of pregnancy that only the father can and will feel. Of course those are nowhere near as intense as the mother, at least not physically... Second, who will mainly be hunting and gathering after birth? The mother has the final decision for sure but I really think it is essential for both future parents to have a long, meaningful discussion about this as early as possible as both of their lives will change until the day they both die and that takes longer than 9 months.

What a Baby is Alive?
No Moth, the woman and the woman only has a right to the final decision. I'm all for a nice long discussion with the father though. If he even cares.
