  1. You know, a great man once said: "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you." During pregnancy, that is basically the father's role I find. And after pregnancy, the parent's role is not limited to the mother, it's pretty much 50/50. No court decision can change that either.
  2. All true Sandman but some things you forget. First, there are some side-effect of pregnancy that only the father can and will feel. Of course those are nowhere near as intense as the mother, at least not physically... Second, who will mainly be hunting and gathering after birth? The mother has the final decision for sure but I really think it is essential for both future parents to have a long, meaningful discussion about this as early as possible as both of their lives will change until the day they both die and that takes longer than 9 months.
  3. No Moth, the woman and the woman only has a right to the final decision. I'm all for a nice long discussion with the father though. If he even cares.
  4. There is a limit to the age of the foetus for abortion. I think it's 3 months but that seems early to me. My wife is 3 months pregnant and she barely shows. But then again, one would be somewhat stupid to ignore the other signs.
  5. Next thing you know someone will be hyping this as "The Final Capter in the Shrek Trilogy". Ah crap it's me... <_<
  6. Now that's a video game movie adaptation. Hollywood producers should take some notes.
  7. #4 looks really good with some good moments but the pacing sucks and it's pretty much a Ripley(not Weaver) vehicle made for lines like: Jonah: "Hey I thought you were dead" Ripley: "Yeah I get that a lot" And the ending, after the "birth", is atrocious.
  8. In answer to the original question: If one considers a cell to be alive, which I do, then one would choose the first option. Otherwise, imo it has to do with one's beliefs which should never be discussed anywhere. Concerning abortion I'm pro choice. Accidents happen even with all the best protection available and no one should be made to suffer, especially when a baby is involved. But it is ultimately the parents' choice and I don't think abortion should be considered murder, more like killing a mouse that has made its nest in one's home. Or something like that. Also, I'd like to mention that abortion is not easy. It's painful and emotionally scaring, often traumatizing the woman for the rest of her life. Of course some don't give a frak but they are just evil.
  9. We are in agreement but association is not the issue. The issue, aside from attention whoring, is the same as the Seatle Christmas tree. It's about always walking on eggshells so as to not offend a Jewish or any other religious/cultural community.
  10. Hindus didn't burn six million Jews during WW2.
  11. Except that he stated straight up that disallowing it would be with respect to the association it has with Nazism. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But... it's not the "Nazi Svastika", it's the Hindu one.
  12. That does not surprise me at all and thanks for the info. My point was that "svastika" is a pejorative term, almost equal to Jews as N***** is to African Americans in some ways.
  13. Well then there you go...
  14. I can imagine a Doctor Who game using a scheme similar to Indigo Prophecy/Farhenheit. RPG not so much though. Although something like Deus Ex could work, less shooting, more puzzle and gadget usage. As for a BSG game, I really liked some SW Battlefront 2 missions where you could run into the hangar bay, jump in a fighter and fly out of a massive capital ship. With some added RPG elements like conversations, exploration of planets and a chapter, story driven tale instead of a mission based game, this could work.
  15. Since I posted a thread for my own birthday I won't comment on this. :D
  16. Did a Jewish forumite ask any of the mods to prevent Roshan from posting his Avatar? Also, if Roshan would've called his avatar "a Hindu Cross" or something instead of a "Hindu Swastika" would this thread be 3 pages long?
  17. I don't get this. This type of cross was never exclusive to the Nazis and it still isn't. I don't see why we should forbid any type of cross that has similarities with the Nazi swastika just because it may offend a Jewish community. Do we need to remove all Stars of David in order to not offend the Muslims or the Crucifix to not offend the Atheists? I say let Roshan post his avatar. It's not Nazi enough to make a fuss imho.
  18. My first girlfriend was a real b1tch, does that count?
  19. Isn't this like Pokemon except with dogs and no balls? :D Oh yeah I have a Pug. A real one. She's 8. I had a nice little kitty that died of kidney failure at 2. Pug wins.
  20. Actually Roshan I find your current avatar offensive. The Red Cross being raped by a pair of pants WTF?
  21. I thought they were mad because of the big Viet Nam flashback. "
  22. Thats Anachronox.
  23. I can't wait for the ALF MMO! (w00t)
  24. Agreed, it's a pretty ridiculous idea. The BSG universe itself doesn't really lend itself to a MMO. I can think of much better candidates for a space MMO, but I guess BSG is the only hot property right now. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't wait for a Desperate Housewives MMO (w00t) <_<
