The issue isn't that he doesn't want to fight, in fact he seemed quite happy to fight when he thought the war just. The issue is that he believes the war to be illegal. When I found out that they were frauding my country(the Gov was helping with salaries and they were exploiting the system) and most of our clients(mostly by overcharging for labor) for millions I simply quit. I would've brought them to justice but I never had any hard proof, just glimpse of papers, words from phone conversations and the like. I had some very nice contacts in the industry too so it was hard for me to leave.

I'm now playing Imperium Galactica 2. :D

First, the failing ratings use the Nielsen system which is apparently not very representative of the viewing public anymore. Selected households, not millions of them obviously, fill surveys and the results are used to speculate on the true number of viewers, to sell airtime to advertisers. I still think there could be a way to accurately know how many tune in to each tv show every week, especially with today's broadcasting methods with the black boxes, digital TVs, etc. Meh. Second, a MMORPG is a bad idea imo. A Freelancer type game with the added ability for the player to interact with crew members on the Galactica would be much better, it would give the opportunity to include some nice RPG or adventure game elements. I would also be for a 3X game like MOO or GalCiv, as long as there is interaction between characters/Heroes and a good story that stays very close to the TV show(or parallel to it). The show is about character development and human interactions, not space battles and I hope whoever ends up with the dev contract remembers that.

Hmm I have them all except 1.14 - is that the one which makes it possible to play in Xp?? gonna try.. if it works = :joy: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I installed all patches and the game works but I still have the lags in the cutscenes and very unresponsive controls. EDIT: Oooh I solved it! Just switch the compatibility from the shortcut's properties to Win 98 after installing all the patches including 1.14. It works great now. (w00t)

Ok after a bit of searching I found all the patches needed to play Imperium Galactica 2 on Windows Xp... Oh yeah I nearly forgot. Here are the links: :D The 1.14 patch is the unofficial one that solves the lagging problem in XP and other glitches. Here are the two latest official patches and they are needed for the 1.14 to work properly. I believe you should first install 1.06 then 1.08(it's smaller than 1.06) and finally 1.14. I haven't tried these yet as I will reinstall IG2 right after this post is completed. You're welcome.

You had a "time speed control thingy" that you could pause, speed up or set in-between to input commands and do things but it was all Real-time, as in not turn-based. The biggest gripe I have with the game is that there was 4 discs. 1 for installation and one for each playable race. But when you double clicked the icon on your desktop you needed the install disk in the CD drive and then you had to swap to the race disk when loading a save.

Another good point. Humans are omnivores, meaning they are both meat-eaters and the-rest-eaters. The only problem I see with eating meat is how we as humans "kill the prey". We're not lions, we have the means and the knowledge to ease if not eliminate the suffering of these living beings so why resort to barbarisms? I'd like to know.

Has Imperium Galactica 2 been mentioned yet? It's a lot like MOO2 and GalCiv except it's real time. I had an urge to play it this weekend but for some reason I had a lot of lagging going on with cutscenes(one of the best intros evar!) skipping and unresponsive cursor and controls. Perhaps that was my failing Hard Drive though( I need a new one). Among other great features you can hire spies and train them to be better at certain types of missions based on their skills. I recommend it.

Getting back to Oblivion... I tried to play it both ways in a certain quest and I got "stuck" with the Honor Blade of Chorrol. Basically I tried to have both rewards from the Mayor of Chorrol and that Thieves Guild guy by giving the blade to the Mayor Lady, stealing it back and giving it to Mister Thief Guy but the jerk wouldn't have it. If he knows right away that I double crossed him, how come he doesn't know that I did my Thief job and stole it back for him? And forget about going to Weatherleah and showing the blade to the brothers to close this quest. They know I stole the friggin' thing! Thankfully this Blade doesn't weigh anything and it stays in my inventory even when my inventory is taken away from me, like with the Mage Guild quest that makes me infiltrate the Necromancers... :D On a side note, my hard drive crashed on december 22nd and I had to reformat so I lost everything, including my Oblivion saves and mods after about 30 hours of playtime. Nice, eh? :angry:

I'm still on FF12, 68 hours in and just past the halfway point in the story. How can I only be lvl 33 at this point you may ask? Well, I'd rather ask how come Blind, Silence, Slow, Immobilize, Poison, Toxify and pretty much every other status effect spells in the game rarely connect? :angry:

Ffvl, Ffvl, Ffvl" It's just not the same. :'( I've always wondered if the whole veggy/vegan thing was in protest to cruelty towards animals or the promotion of healthy livin'? I love meat and I eat a lot of meat, all kinds. Fish, chicken, beef, pork, horse(rarely but it happens), moose, deer, boar(truly succulent!), seafood, etc but I will still be one of the first to shed a tear when I see a video of a cow getting ready to turn into steak. Can't there be a more "humane" way of doing this? Then again, what is better between punching a cow in the neck and letting it bleed to death and a pack of lions tearing a gazelle to pieces and eating it's entrails while it is still alive(Hmm. Too much detail)?

I thought it was ok. Pretty creepy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Descent blew me away. Not that it was the bestest movie evar but rather because it was surprisingly good. Unknown cast, unknown director and not from Hollywood(should've been a clue, I know...). Over here most theaters are properties of major Hollywood studios and even Canadian films have a hard time getting enough screens, so this film was a little gem. It's very creepy, jump inducing chlostrophia-ish with lots of gore. Who would've thought such mature, beautiful and smart women(not a male in sight except for the baddies) could be so violent and sadistic.
