Sounds like a memory problem; I used to get similar symptoms when I had been playing for a while (pre-1.03 patch) and the game was about to crash from internal RAMmorrhage. How much RAM do you have? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1GB.

Most of them(what he showed us) were slightly altered quotes and synopsises from American movies. Apparently at that time Alzheimer was starting to take a hold on the good Prez. and he would make up speeches as he went along, ignoring or altering those texts written for him by his staff. Sorry for bringing this back on the frontline... Ok, well, I'm trying it again. 1-Because I want to like this game. 2-Because I have no more RPGs to play on PC. 3-Because the computer at work is the only one I have access to that can run this piece of fat lard. 4-Because all the forumites here that say it's a good game despite the flaws. Well I can say for certain that it may be a good game but it is difficult to like. Fully patched(1.03): I start a new character, a Half-Elf Druid. I pick up the furs for my "father" and head out the door. So far, I love it! (w00t) I meet my homies by the bridge and we make our way to Georg to register for the fair. A nice little conversation ensues. "This game ain't so bad Astr0" I tell myself. I proceed to Galen the trader so I can get a bow and sell the furs but my posse stays behind, apparently in awe at Georg's beauty. No biggy. If they want to gather moss in the swamp, who am I to stop them? The frakkin' Chosen One? Hahahaha... ahem. So I go "Yo Galen, Gotta bow for my Old man yo?" Galen don't speak street apparently cuz he ain't respondin'. So I right-click his a$$ to try another approach. Not only doesn't it work but in the radial menu I have missing 2D textures. Waddup widdat? Savin', more missing textures in that menu. Click save and BOOM! Crash to desktop. Should I now uninstall? :angry:

Hmm. Good point. Maybe thats why I don't like CoR. The continuation of the two doesn't make sense. Then again, CoR was never a sequel of PB, just a random adventure of Riddick, as advertised by the cast and filmmakers. Then again, the girl is older but not that much. CoR makes no sense in the Pitch Black/Riddick franchise but as an independant film I agree it was a good scifi romp.

Oh yes, right, sure, of course. Conan endings rock! I honestly liked it too at first but the second viewing proved suckage ruled. Except for the setting. I love super far futures. Oh and in both films, Keith David was almost criminally underused. Keith David

Cordless heh... Aside from the price and availability, I 'm hesitating from buying one of dem shiny new consoles because the controllers are cordless. I've bought wireless PS2 controllers in the past(2.4Mhz Madcatz and some other, with or without vibration) and even brand new ones with brand new batteries would lose the connection every few seconds, rendering them unusable, at 30$ a pop. As for PC cordless controllers, I really don't trust them to play games. What if you lose the connection or the batteries die?

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes beta Just about every recent 3D engine fantasy MMO on the market except WoW looks like that. haha It's beta and I'm already setting up an underground network so that I may become the supreme Psionicist ruler! I tried one of the drivers from ATI that I hadn't tried yet and it worked. I also did some more twealing in the MoBo BIOS. I actually don't know for sure what made it work. Thanks anyway people.

Hello! (w00t) Well my new Hard drive seems to work fine but now I have a new problem. I can't play games! Yay! Apparently my Radeon 9600 doesn't support openGL anymore. In the Catalyst control center for the driver suite 7.1(most recent), when I go into the 3D settings panel, the 3Dpreview window doesn't work. When I'm lucky I get an error message that says it can't find the openGL driver to display the 3D animation in the window. When I'm slightly less lucky, the VPU recovery system kicks in and when I'm unlocky my monitor turns off and I need to reboot. (w00t) Any game that has 3D images and animation will crash as soon they are loaded(I tried Chronicles of Riddick and San Andreas). I tried other, older driver suites with the same results. In some cases I can't even launch the Catalyst Control Center. I've been looking everywhere for this problem, for ways to fix it and even diagnostic tools that could tell me what exactly is the problem. I've roamed forums and tech sites and I can't find anything. I've even fiddled a bit with the MoBo BIOS. Can anyone help me please?

So that I don't have to reinstall everything if I need to format again.

I forgot Doctor Who. Would've been #3 on my list. Easy.
