If you worry about tap water, just boil it and put it in the fridge for the night. Cool, clean, free(usually) water.

Well, I've always thought of Canada as one of the better countries to live in. However I've had a hard time for a long time here so I seriously need a change of scenery. I want to move as far away as possible for many reasons that are all personal and that I will not describe here. And Gorth, thanks a lot for the info. I'll copy/paste it for future reference. If anyone has more to tell about NZ, please PM me. Thanks.

Well I'm getting married in a month so no. Is a virtual marriage cheating? If not then you offer is interesting. But the question is, does the keyword "marriage", while facing a beautiful looking NPC, mean that you are asking to marry that NPC or simply asking for information on marriage? Also, does that keyword allow the expression of emotion or does anyone actually give a frak? Hmm. I will ponder and return shortly.

Yes. Anything specific you want to know ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd like to know about the job market for one thing. And the housing, what types, what are the rent costs on average for a 5 1/2. Are the people hectic like in North Americrap or are they more relaxed. How is the weather and how big are the climate changes during the years, what is the immigration policy like? I have answers for all these questions from websites but since those are usually somewhat promotional in nature, I'd like to have opinions from "normal" people who have actually been there or are living there right now. Or links to websites with more objective information.

Yes. For a while now and I'm torn between New-Zealand and Norway(for some reason).

Sid Meier's Pirates! It's so frakking addictive!

Does anyone here know what New-Zealand is like(seriously please, no LotR jokes thank you)?

Dogs lick their balls too. I'm not too sure that's the criteria I'd use on if my water was fit to drink. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You would if you could. " in all honesty? no. I think the reason that the study said it was more bacterial was because the ice is kept in a fairly small space for a long period of time. it promotes growth in that environment. the toilet water would be constantly changed so :shrugs: I know that early in the mornings people are getting ice that's been sitting in the machine overnight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is contamination from people NOT WASHING THEIR HANDS AFTER DOING NUMBER TWO. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That last bit is absolutely true. And your first bit is also true You know too much about this Meta... :D

Well, Im going to try Oblivion and if it, against all odds, turn out to be a good game then Ill admit it. Its just that Bethesdas approach to RPGs is almost the direct opposite to what I prefer. Going up to an NPC and clicking "sword" instead of being offered dialouge options giving me the ability to actually play out my characters personality is bad game design

I'm not a Portman fanboy and Ii share his views on V for Vendetta. It was a smart action movie and we all have something to learn from what it says...

They just requirements traditionally. Your mother has to be a Jewe for instance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And she must drive a Mercedes.

Canada 1- Multiparty political system : Some ex-lawyer gets elected to power with 20% of the voters because 10 other ex-lawyers were also in the run. 80% of the population doesn't want him there but hey, thats Canada. 2- The corruption or rather the fact that the Liberals are still in the top 2 favorite parties even after the sponsorship "scandal" thingy. 3- The propaganda on CBC and CTV. 4- The weather is horrible. Winter begins in September and ends in May. We don't get that much snow anymore, most of it is freezing rain. 5- Kids don't get to play anymore. Too many restrictions to "keep them safe". Thats just crap. 6- Gays are way too present in our media. So you are gay. So what. Make love to your partner and get over it! 7- The narrowminded French-Canadians who want sovereignty at any cost and don't accept any anglophone "way". I'm French-Canadian and I say bilingualism all the way! 8- Our army, if you can call it that. 9- Biker gangs. 10- Our borders that let anyone in instead of the country promoting natality to younger people in order to properly populate the country for future generations. What I love the most about Canada is the still enduring wilderness.

Seems to me some execs enjoyed the movie White Chicks a bit too much, possibly high on crack cocaine.

The Running Man. Or so I dream...

I just saw V for Vendetta. It's really good. Makes you think about where this world could be going and what we need to do to make it right. It is also full of very memorable quotes. My 2 favorites : "The people should not fear their government. The government should fear the people." and "........................................................My turn." Just awesome.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> astr0creep- In 1960 they gave Pakistan weapons weapons which would be used to kill Indians, India retaleated by alling the USSR which pissed America off. So why have the Americans returned <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They also put Saddam in power to counter the Ayatolah in Iran and gave him the weapons of mass destruction he needed to do the job. Only he never used them for the purpose the US expected. Or so I heard. The point is though, if you know about it, it's not a hidden agenda now is it?

"We don't need no education"?

Our officials here in Quebec have also started implementing this. I'm all for it. I would not be against random focused surveillance either, as long as it doesn't become another inquisition or something. National security needs to be beefed up, especially here in Canada. But I would not like my country to lose its "safe haven" status. A balance needs to be adopted and kept with very strict laws. The danger with letting the govs act "a little like" Big Brother is that it can become very bad, very fast.

How do you know about their hidden agenda? It's hidden!

1- Battlestar Galactica - 6 months to go Best show on TV. 2- Lost - Although the last 3-4 episodes were kinda meh, I can't wait to see the next one. Very addictive, great characters. 3- Smallville - Although all the episodes are kinda meh, the girls are very pretty and it's SUPERMAN fer frak's sake! In that order. And I don't watch anything else besides the occasional Ghost Whisperer, Gray's Anatomy and CSI.
