  1. I always plan my characters around endgame, and around endgame items. Simply because I like the feeling of continuous empowerement. Fortunately, that doesn't mean they are total jerks before this. In addition, most of the hardest battles are endgame ones, except for Caed Nua and Raedric (if you fight him act I), so for me it is usually better to consider what I could beat endgame. So balanced start and powergaming ending is my way to play.
  2. It wasn't exactly my wish, but it seems that PoE2 is really going to be an epic-level campaign. Easy questions : What is even stronger than Archmages ? So who can be a challlenge now ?
  3. Technical improvements ? The average PoE player does not care. The only real wish unanymously expressed is the reduction of loading times !
  4. Given that priest is the closest thing to omnipotent class, I think this is not so bad for him. He also got greatly improved priest abilities Thaos also casts mass dominate and mass confusion. Dominate is usually Cipher only, and confuse is Cipher and Wizz only. Given that he is also able to project his soul and possess anybody as long as he wants, he is actually more a priest/cipher Multiclass. Lore-wise, maybe slaying Thaos unleashed a great multiclassing wave upon Eora, causing the multiclass potential of each soul to be unlocked. Maybe the gods themselves locked the multiclass potential of mortals to prevent them to become as powerful as the gods. Because, as far as remember from BGII time, Multiclass was the closest thing to divine powers... Now THAT would be a great story for PoE2. Mmmm... Somehow in this post, I slipped into crazyness...
  5. Barbarians with high accuracy, interrupt and the right weapon set should be a decent recursive crowd controler, no ?
  6. Well, against non buffed target, you extend duration... just a bit ? Like 1s ? And 5s as stated for buffed fows ? Does it depend on how much buff YOU have ? And time siphon works on all targets ? How does it stack ? ^^
  7. There are builds that favors RES (golden dragon) because the point of the build is to max Defl and Acc debuff. Read it. For other cases CON is indead better.
  8. Thought about it a bit more, this time with my brain :D There are too many choices in a 60-100 hours rpg where as in Tyranny you make IIRC 9 or so high level choices before heading into the game. Whether if any of the PoE companions are alive or dead choices alone equal to 11. And in "Conquest-style" there should also be some context for every choice... think about the famous PoE loredump all over again, a new playa would need dat lore to make those choices. Well, waaaaaAAAaaaaay too much work/imposibru. You don't have to make all choices relevant. There are a limited number of choices that has an impact about ending slides. But I agree it can be difficult to implement.
  9. "Hey, Eothas, this is Magran. I have a proposal. Do you like golems ?"
  10. Infinitron - this is entirely off-topic but I have been wondering for years: what the heck is your portrait depicting? Infinitron.
  11. I thought about this initially, but I'm a control freak and don't like this uncontrolable stuff. I will probably try it anyway. My current plan is this finger that gives +3 CON and mind lance. Disciplined Barrage + Wave + Mind lance + Charge sounds like a real line attack. I trust my full attack knockdowns, charge and Abydon's Stun (secondary set) to carry trash fights.
  12. You can try with fighter + disciplined barrage. I'm trying this right now. I'm close from getting White Crest. I guess Disciplined Barrage + Overwhelming Wave + Charge will be fun
  13. Rogue specialization toward using items as a secondary feature is great. It is nice lore-wise, gives them enough raw power and is radically different from other classes. I'm pretty sure the current design is not intentionnal because Deathblow is not consistent with sneak attack. But it would be great if the Devs keep it. It seems to be the design choice for Tides of Numenera by the way.
  14. Basically, the ability to use items and scrolls is : Rogue>>martials>>casters (also given than a class defensive passives are still important when you use items) Which is basically and fortunately the opposite of class balance. Among the best abilities for an item user are : -Deathblows -Dirty Fighting -Deep wounds -Disciplined barrage -Driving Flight -Sworn ennemy and of course base Accuracy ! Chanters are good items user too, not because they are specifically good at ut, but because they can still chant while using items.
  15. I don't think I'll post my build. I'll post my main character, who is a fighter, maybe my ranged Pal.
  16. Thanks for suggestion, as indeed I meant single weapon and not one-handed. So, in the end which variant does sound better?:- "when not using an ability, and having single weapon (1H or 2H) or wielding a shield" - "when not using an ability and (wielding a single weapon or using a shield)" - "when auto-attacking while wielding a single weapon or shield" ... IMHO: "when not using an ability, and having single weapon (1H or 2H) or wielding a shield"
  17. DAoM has made wizz the strongest offensive class since 1.0. It was just not as obvious as now as long as people weren't familiar with his unequal low level spells. Alternatively, you can consider Rogue as ultimate spell caster (who said Death Maelstorm Blows ?)
  18. Here's the file. Good luck ! This one seems to be nasty. TempSaveData.zip
  19. "- when not using an ability, and having 1h or wielding a shield incurs a 0.5 penalty" If I understand well, you should re-write it : "- when not using an ability, and having single weapon (1-handed or 2-handed) or wielding a shield incurs a 0.5 penalty" "1h" seems to exclude 2-handed, and I don't think this was your intention. Good to know that spells are so fast. I think DAoM should be greyed out. If you could also add Nature's bounty too
  20. Run a Paladin with coordinating attack + marking weapons. Darcozzi temporary inspiring liberation is icing on the cake, but a +20 switchable infinite duration accuracy bonus is the cake itself. So feel free to pick any order IMHO. Pliambo per casitas is a good weapon for this role, and works nicely with FoD too. Blade of the endless path is great too as a melee versiob AND DON T NEED THAT MUCH ENCHANTING MATERIAL.
  21. I meant dual wielding itself. The talent is in the table, exactly where I expected it to be. Dual wielding is somehow in the table because it affects what MaxQuest call "recovery factor". My understanding was the same as yours, Boeroer, but apparently MaxQuest has a new formula, different from what we both thought to be right.
