  1. I was considering to create a poll about rogue abilities buff in general discussions. I'm going to limit the ideas to "not too complicated to implement ideas". Maybe this won't be the ideal solutions, but getting something like stackable deep wound would still be nice (even for people who think rogue is okay). I'll add a secondary poll about "which direction rogue should evolve ?". This would be for more complex changes. I don't expect these to be implemented for PoE1, but I think it would be nice to send a feedback to the devs for PoE2. Rogue was pointed least liked class in a recent poll, so I think it is a good idea to express about what could make them better. Feel free to make some suggestions. I'll try to add them in one of these categories ^^
  2. Stormcaller for a chanter is pretty decent. The point is : of all non vancian classes, chanter is the one with the lowest martial potential, so the lowest priority for durgan steel. Stormcaller is still a nasty weapon, especially with the electrical talent. So I think this is a very good pick.
  3. Isn't dual wielding recovery recently changed ? I thought it was a big 0.5 added to speed coeff ? (or if you prefer, a separate coef of blue category valued to 1.5) If changed, it means that reached 0 recovery is almost as complicated with dual wielding (apart for style talent bonus) as with single weapons...
  4. It opens interesting possibilities for carrion lord boar druid specialized in (insect) DoT and regeneration. "You decay, I regenerate"
  5. Without goodies like Crown of the faithful, your best defense will be Mindweb. If you're worrying about having not enough magic items, go monk. At least some weapons you won't have to worry. You're going to miss durgan steel for everyone. Casters don't care much about Durgan, but this could be a trouble with non casters. Only 2 non casters have weapons equivalent to durganized ones : monk with fists and Stormcaller ranger. Chanters weapon are a bit less critical too. Think about it. You will have enough durgan for everyone's primary set if you bring 2 characters that don't need it. So 2 monks or 1 monk and 1 ranger could be a good idea. By the way antelope is a very good pet, better IMO than bear for offtanking because bear has a crappy attack speed.
  6. So it's 25% damages BEFORE DR as raw damages ? Plus a normal MIG bonus applied to this 25% ? And INT and duration are irrelevant for the total damages ? (except that low INT implies faster damages) It should be close to a ×1.5 multiplicator, then. And much more reliable against high DR as pointed. That makes Persistance, Tidefall and drawn in spring top DPS weapons for their style. Eventually, it's a contest between tidefall and drawn in spring for the title of best DPS melee weapons. Side question : does boar wounding work the same ?
  7. You're probably right, but a rogue with boot of speed is good to flank and Prone/Stun on crit works well with rogue hit to crit and high accuracy. But that's indeed the exception.
  8. Whisper is indeed better overall. Just a couple of times I found puppetmaster was better.
  9. Probably Tidefall + legendary + lash + alacrity (potion/twin stings) + gauntlet is the very top. 0 recovery is even more fun with 2 hander ^^ Coordinating + Stunning double Clad' spear has some potential too, due to Stun being also a strong def debuff. Drawn in Spring can get a +4 accuracy for a main character by the way ^^
  10. When I have a lot of focus, I need to react quickly (puppetmaster is instant cast) and the ennemies are powerful and limited in numbers. Also, my cipher was a boreal dwarf and ennemies were primordial (bloody pwgra now with working maggots...). Which meant I had a lot of chances of success and didn't need to save Focus. Puppetmaster basically saved my group against a big group of druids and Pwgra by allowing me to turn 2 Menpwgra extremelly quickly. I don'think there could could have been a better spell in this particular case. I also plan to use puppetmaster against the alpine to wipe the adds
  11. I really appreciate the 3.0 design of the cipher spells. My cipher is currently level 8, she has 4 single target CC (whispers, mental binding, puppetmaster and silent scream) and each one seem to be the best in some situation even if they have slightly similar function. And then, there's druid. With druid, you're praying to trade your level 6, 7, and sometimes even 8 spell slots against more level 5 ones. It is not only Relentless Storm. Plague Swarm, firebug, Earth Talon, they all belong to the same level... Level 1-4th are great too...
  12. Bittercut is great and very reliable, but I suspect wounding, annihilating or fast weapons to be superior. Still, these couple of spells from bittercut provide decent AoE damages.
  13. I'm on week end now but I'll send them after. The problem came back several times. Currently my best workaround was to launch the game in offline mode before this bloody Steam is able to connect.
  14. Skill monkey might not be the best idea... I want Rogue to have a decent role in combat. These +2 mechanics they are the only class to receive are enough skillmonkeyness for me. This little +2 is very precious without making rogue necessary. My top #3 wished buff (taking into account the presumed dev difficulty to implement it): #1 Stackable deep wound #2 Cancellable Feign Death #3 30% riposte on miss. And 15% hit to crit Dirty Fighting as a bonus, because it shouldn't be that hard to change... Even if one think rogue are enough powerful, I think these abilities would deserve a buff. I don't like per rest abilities, but with several charges, they are not that bad for rogue's raw power...
  15. The stat system is very good mechanically. The only minor problem might be that Resolve could be buffed a bit. It seems quite easy to dump. Currently, there is a reason why Crown of the faithfull might provide +25 Resolve without being totally overpowered... Sonething like -3% to duration of negative effects (or +3% "negative status recovery speed to avoid very high resolve to be too strong) could be nice.
  16. And what about backer's stronghold adventures ? They are relatively independant from the main story
  17. Note: DoT does not stack. Duration is refreshed You mean you cant's cast Maggots twice on the same target ? Your numbers in 3.01 are in line with my observations.
  18. Yeah death godlike is not good, but I hoped this would be decent way to use their racial talent. Maggot + Death Godlike sounded great lore-wise. Paladins also usually have high MIG and INT by the way But for a whole build centered on Maggots, I think an insect druid build would be a more amusing choice, with level 2 & 3 insect spells as mastery and a kind of specialization with DoT (and max MIG and INT). Maybe a bear druid called "the honey king" or sonething like this But I can't find a synergy with this apart with ranger's pet... (RIP combusting wounds + DoT...)
  19. I know I'm not suppose to ask why, but are item casting time usually similar to spells ? I'm planning to build my fighter with a LOT of casting items. It would sound even better with faster casting. 4x fast vile thorn is already great... especially because you don't sacrifice DPS by using molded legendary durganized bittercut By the way, I'm wondering if a deathgodlike bleak walker with onkill effects and monsterlash dualling bitter cut could be a good maggot build idea. Maggot doing more damages when endurance is low result in a higher probability of getting a kill. Bleak walkers benefit from Spirit of decay and can get both frightened and inspired triumph on kill. I think there are a couple of items with on kill effects (including... a helm... godlike might not be that great...)
