Friendly Fire
ShadySands replied to Nonek's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I believe they had mentioned there would be FF before and it would be a toggle with its default state tied to the difficulty level (off on easy, on for hard) Or I could have made that all up- 50 replies

Mor, not sure where you are from but in my experience, from the places I've lived, there just isn't more than a small handful of options. In fact where I live now I really only have one option for fast (cable) internet and two options if I ever decide to go back down to DSL When I lived in New York I had a couple more options such as fiber but still nothing like a dozen ISPs to choose from. That's also before the contracts they try to lock you into and the connection fees and whatever else you get charged when you decide to switch

My wife had never heard of Ender's Game but she loved the movie so much that she read the book I thought it was good but would have been better if they broke it up into 2 movies

I think it's more to do with Steam updating itself and the game from time to time rather than simply downloading the game/installation files once and only updating when you feel like it. Though, to be fair to Steam I've heard they've gotten better about such things

Update #70: New Year Project Update
ShadySands replied to BAdler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Announcements & News
Mook, Underboss, BBEG I believe Aloth is an elf wizard and Sagani is a dwarf ranger. Dunno about the third as this is the first time I've seen them mentioned- 491 replies

Thanks! Bruce, if you are going to have the meat sit for a while then you may want to try some curing agent like sodium nitrate or potassium nitrate

Somewhat similar I look for a well marbled cut of meat and have the butcher slice it thinly (usually about a pound and half to 2 pounds per batch) Marinate overnight (at least) to 2 days depending on thickness Put in dehydrator for 4 to 10 hours depending on thickness We tend to go for thinner jerky and my wife likes it nearly crispy but the fat helps make it more flavorful and juicy. I get requests for thicker cuts which take a lot longer but are obviously meatier I do a few different marinade mixes my normal recipe bourbon and brown sugar hot and spicy

Only about an hour or so into the Banner Saga but I'll give my initial impressions Wot i like Combat! Graphics and Art(style/direction/cinematics) The world so far Wot i doesn't like No character of my own creation Switching characters Bottom line I dig the art direction and tactical combat and while I think the story and world are interesting it's like playing a book. I would actually say it's more adventure game with tactical combat than arghpeegee* *not necessarily a bad thing
