  1. Interesting but on these kickstarted games would that be as much of an issue? I mean since voting is limited to backers and they know exactly how many of those there are
  2. First Female Marines Graduate Infantry Training
  3. Seeing Opportunity In A Question: 'Where Are You Really From?' I always find things like this interesting not because of my own experiences, which have been largely pleasant, but from the stories my biracial (black and Native American) grandmother would tell me about growing up in the 30's and 40's
  4. pfsh I would have bought your vote... for all the Steam games I'm already struggling to give away
  5. I dunno if it'll be any good (they say they're industry vets but don't list what games they worked on before coming together for this company) but the idea is pretty darn intriguing. It does look interesting and since they just announced DRM free I went ahead and backed it The Mandate and Deathfire:SomethingSomething both got a plug from inXile in the latest Torment update so hopefully that gives them the boost they need
  6. I voted for turn based and then flagged RTwP as inappropriate Also, who logs in just to vote that they don't care?
  7. It snowed last night and all morning and it's still snowing now I'm hating it but my dog is loving it
  8. Proc is slang for process or programmed random occurrence depending on who you ask It's basically any effect that has a chance to trigger
  9. a curry with some left overs from kimchi taco night
  10. I saw Las Vegas over the weekend in preparation for my own old guy trip to Vegas in January I liked it more than I thought I would and laughed way more than I thought I would. Problem is I'm not sure if the move was actually that good or just my low expectations going in made it seem better than it was
  11. I backed it but at this point I'm pretty sure that is money that won't be leaving my account any time soon
  12. Got an email for the Elder Scrolls Online beta so that should make for an interesting weekend Until then puttering along in XCOM:New Expansion (on Easy, don't judge me) and wondering if I should buy the Slingshot DLC
  13. Police officer goes above and beyond to rescue dog Baltimore police officer got a call about a ‘vicious’ pit bull and this is what happened next
  14. I think a few of us maybe learned something new though, I know I did. This is what I meant when I said before in this or some other thread that even though he posts a lot of racist, bigoted, and ignorant stuff it sometimes leads to interesting and educational posts by non troll posters trying to correct and/or educate him

  16. SHADOWRUN: DRAGONFALL FEATURES Experience a New Full-Length Campaign: Return to the “Tech meets Magic” future of Shadowrun as you and your team of runners get drawn into a treacherous conspiracy. Operating out of an offbeat central hub neighborhood, you’ll choose which missions to accept and how you’ll approach them while navigating the dark underbelly of “the Flux”. An Exciting New Locale: Shadowrun: Dragonfall transports runners to the Free City of Berlin, a thrilling Shadowrun setting full of gorgeous new hi-res environments, a diverse new cast of characters, and a new soundtrack by the composer of the original Sega Genesis Shadowrun game, Sam Powell. Command Your Team: Lead a small team of shadowrunners, each with their own outlook and backstory. Each member of your team is designed to play an interesting role during missions and has a unique set of skills, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. New Weapons, Cyberware, Enemies & More: Try your hand at the long-range sniper rifle, devastating grenade launcher, or stun-inducing taser. Chrome yourself out in the latest cyberware and take on deadly new enemies - including new magical creatures like gargoyles and fire drakes. Dragonfall brings a host of new items, characters, portraits, and improvements to the Shadowrun Returns experience. Save Anywhere: You can save your progress at any time during the game. This functionality will also be added to the original Shadowrun Returns “Dead Man’s Switch” campaign. New Game Editor Features: A wide range of enhancements to the game editor for community content creators - including a scripting system to better control lighting, tracking mission objectives in the main game UI, placing exploding barrels, and allowing players to input keypad passwords and custom text strings in conversations. In addition, content creators will be able to use all of the new Berlin environment art, items and characters in their own stories along with assets from the original Shadowrun Returns campaign. Shadowrun: Dragonfall will be released January 2014 for Windows, OSX, and Linux and will be free to Backers. You’ll get the same number of Steam keys you received for the original game via our Backer website and details about how you’ll get your DRM-free version will come in a future update. Dragonfall will launch at $14.99 and we’ll also release the Shadowrun Campaign Pack on the same day. The campaign pack contains the original game and the Dragonfall expansion in one package for only $24.99. We think it’s a great way to get new players into Shadowrun.
  17. I used to make sure the General got his Bangbus but now I just help people sell you stuff you probably don't want or need
  18. Mine is Dr Pepper Been getting up even earlier than normal to get some extra time in the gym. Having a kind of reunion with some military buddies and I want to try to make them feel bad about letting themselves go. I'm a good friend
  19. NVM Deathdealer beat me to it
  20. Toronto council meeting now to strip mayor of powers

  22. I finally won in Pandora: First Contact with a domination victory I bumped up the difficulty level but shrunk the map. The AI has a tendency to fill every nook and cranny with cities and spam units which it never upgrades. It wasn't uncommon for me to be outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1 and still win or at least end a draw (meaning that we both died) just because I constantly upgraded my units. Overall, I like the game well enough but I think I'll let it marinate in a few more patches before I go back to it
  23. It's a lot like SMAC but maybe a little more streamlined Research is fun and a little randomized. Designing and refitting units is easy and interesting but I do wish it was a little more varied. Diplomacy is a little weak in my opinion but maybe it's more because I played it on easy but there are also some options that I think are missing. The AI is a little wonky but again it could have just been because I was playing on easy but the AI didn't seem to ever refit units or use operations against me
