I made tacos and a huge batch of salsa for dinner last night. My wife doesn't normally like when I do ground meat tacos (I like it because it's fast and easy) but the Krogers here does a pork and beef blend that she's a huge fan of. Right now I'm craving a spicy chicken sandwich

I suppose it's better than Japanese corporate culture. Not that it makes it good but things can always be worse. She was actually always trying to enforce fairness. She had a kid or two really young or something and it was hard for her to get ahead because she couldn't put in the 70+ hours her coworkers could. She enforced a strict 8 hour day and a not a minute more. We still had overachievers, somehow I was one, but we were all competing on a more level playing field since you generally had to actually be more efficient rather than having more time to devote to work. I have had some real bastards for bosses too.

I had a supervisor who had a sign on her door that said fairness doesn't exist unless it's enforced. I hate using fair as an argument because life isn't fair. I don't actually have anything to add other than I still think quiet quitting is a dumb name

The Dollars trilogy were my favorite Westerns growing up (Westerns were huge in my family) but I don't think I've seen any of them in since I was a teen. The Re:View of The Good, the Bad, the Ugly made me want to rewatch them all.

Quiet quitting is a stupid name for wanting to just do your job.

It's generally recommended to add a little water to Scotch to open it up but I still drink it neat or a drop of water or tiny sliver of ice at most.
-
I drink it neat but I drink pretty much all liquor neat unless I'm making a mixed drink. This rum is much easier going down any other that I've tried because I can swig this one like I'm a pirate.

Now that my wife is home I finally saw Orville episode 9 and that's easily the best episode of Star Trek in the last 20 or so years -
Sorry, this came to mind after reading the article

How much did it sell for? In the article it says the financial terms were not disclosed

I like a lot of starchy mush like oatmeal, cream of wheat, rice, grits, mashataters Growing up it was a lot of rice with butter and sugar because it's cheap and it keeps and useful in more ways than oats or grits

I prefer plain grits, well, not plain-plain, but no meat or veggies or cheese. I'm an admitted weirdo though.

Reported Assuming it's the sausage gravy that you find unappealing as opposed to the biscuit. American biscuit not a cookie or cracker or whatever wrong people (I kid) call a biscuit. It's super heavy so I rarely eat it but when I do I like it with over easy eggs and sometimes hot sauce.

Ignorance is definitely bliss when it comes to movie inaccuracies. Thankfully, there isn't much archery in the movie and none of it is mounted, though it does look a little strange even without knowing it's completely wrong. As for the CGI, a lot of it does not look that good but like KP I think that the animals being there works better for the story they're trying to tell.

I liked Prey a lot and pretty much none of the issues people mention bothered me at all. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but it's one of the better movies I've seen recently.
