  1. With beetles you don't even need to stand next to the mage to kill him, with beetle you might as well kill Readric.^^
  2. Cipher sounds good, since it has less friendly fire and still nice AoE spells. Ranger is a lot of microing the pet, which still will die eventually and destroy your rangers accuracy, lol. Also 2 priests?
  3. Yeah, can't be applied to hostiles. It would be a waste anyway, since charm doesn't last thath long and there are other better ways to deal with it, like potions or sending the paladin alone against charmers.
  4. Added Caed Nua Phantoms and Maerwald: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzscMCQ3321tXXG7MbJa_j40-puzt3BAk Beware video number 3 is mainly dialogue, fight is in number 4.
  5. Dump INT and max CON, the AoE of TR is low to begin with, and doesn't get much smaller by low IN.
  6. Sorry I was unclear. I expect it to work for player chars too, now, just didn't test it myself. Normally if skills work for the AI, they work for us, too.
  7. On enemy palas it works real well now, even against sworn enemy (which becomes active again after the buff runs out though. ;p)
  8. For that fight specifically I always sneak around the back (where the horses were) so you can place yourself next to one of the trailers, theres a chokepoint, where only one enemy at the time can aggro you. Antipathetic field is a killer if they line up ahead of you.
  9. Hey everyone. Even though I originally wanted to do TCS I decided against it, since I soloed the game twice on PotD and it got repetitive. Here I will post major fights with my group of three, starting with Radrics Keep, before going to Caed Nua. My party consists of PC paladina level 5 and level 4 fighter and cipher. In this fight only the paladina has decent equip, since I just created the 2 level 4s and soloed the game until this point. Equip will get a lot better once I go through Caed Nua. 10. @OP I made a 3 man party (or rather chicks, lol) myself now and will be uploading videos of relevant battles. If you're interested, I will open another thread with a link in about an hour, where I fight Raedric. Party consists of PC Paladina level 5, level 4 fighter and cipher.
  11. Huh! I don't think I've ever heard of someone soloing with a pally. What's your build? Paladin is one of the most common classes people solo with, I soloed the entire game Potd incl. adra dragon with him, but with a less optimized built. Paladin is actually one of the few classes that doesn't requirer you to go moon godlike solo or even benefits you if you pick another class. I myself went with moon godlike Darcozzi, but more optimized is either wild orlan or Coastal Aumaua. I personally like the Aumaua since dragons have stun and KD attacks that hurt a lot. A build I successfully soloed Act 1 with (after I already completed the game with the gdlk) was 16/11/14/17/3/17. You don't have max RES and PER but that only costs you 2 points def, you have awesome reflex and really good fort. Very funny is fights against phantoms, since their melee attack, though targetting your deflection trigger the aumaua bonus of +20 to be applied to your melee defense, so if you have 100 defl with level 5 as I did on my testrun, you deflect with 120, this gets really crazy if you drink wizards double potion = 160 def against phantoms. Also if you get hit, there is a second roll against your fort, whether you get stunned or not, here again your fort is upped by 20 points because of Aumaua.
  12. Well I never played a monk for the duration, so I say as long as its in the game, use it. It's not a fight winner like petrify, so it could be way worse. As to torment's reach, if you have decent dex the speed is not much different, since the mainhand will still have fistspeed.
  13. How is sword in offhand worse for monk than fists? Agree on the rest.
  14. I would make the cipher your main (unless you wanna go with GM). Cipher will have the highest damage output and also benefits from early levelups.
  15. They are strong, but not if you're “quite new to this game“ (quote from your first post ) since you start with limited spells and you can only use those effectively if you know beforehand what kinda enemies you will face.
  16. My suggestion would be cipher as melee mage, since as soon as you have retaliation, getting hit means having infinite spells, also cipher has high base deflection. Druid will propably be better than priest in a small party, since he can transform if attacked. If all your chars are near to each kther most time, pally blocker is best because of aura, also pally shield buffs sabes for the whole group.
  17. I think the intention here is "I'm so good, I can beat anything you throw at me" Thats what I thought too, but it's not a matter how good somebody is, the game is just too easy.
  18. If a dragon stuns you, you are dead, no matter your other stats, if an adragan petrifies, same. Sure the rest of the group might still win, but the tank is a tank no more. 3 Might tanks are useless. You can win wirh any party on Potd since the difficulty is so low, but a solo char will not tank sky dragon let alone adra with 3 MI.
  19. Fort is extremely important against petrify and dragons wings. 3 MI tanks are stupid and brainless.
  20. Your numbers should be right on Potd it was 120 for wings and 108 for claw, can't remember the rest.
