What can of worms are we talking here exactly? 6 Accuracy is not a game-changer. It's nice to have, nothing more. It's basicly just a party-wide weapon focus. And 3 DR is also nothing, considering you can only select either the accuracy bonus or the DR bonus, not both. Currently, Paladins are the only class that are completely devaluated by the presence of another. In this case, priests. If you have a priest (especially once hitting level 9), your Paladin practically becomes dead weight. Just one question: Isn't this always the case with paladins and priests? It's not like the Priest class is mandatory in a party environment in this game. What changes would you suggest to paladin to prevent this? After all, the buff/heal part of the paladin is only half of the class' usefulness imo. Other classes have similar overlapping/ non-stacking abilties, also. Side note: Paladin auras offer more "passive play". some people like that. As to the passive play, it is very much rooted in the easy difficulty of PoE PotD. Why would I throw around actives all days, rest every few encounters etc. if I can just steamroll the game with a party which doesn't have a priest or mage. You could propably go so far and have a party full off one button characters.

Even on Potd, if you use a whole party, story companions are alright, especially Aloth and Durance. Perfect stats are needed for a good tank in my opinion.

Have no problems keeping my backline from getting hit on PotD. What has that to do with Potd anyway? When people like that say "play PotD" I get the impression, they haven't completed a playthrough on PotD themselves, lol. Main feature of PotD is blown up attributes, it also adds some monsters, but not in the degree, that your backline gets attacked all of a sudden, while it wouldn't have been attacked on hard...

Sky dragon is a solo enemy (+silly wurmling). Try the adra dragon and it will be harder, but anything is doable with a party, adra has been soloed by ranger after all.

Yes you can, or atthe stronghold. There's a tab for it on the left in the inn/stronghold menu.

When I can do it solo on Potd, why would it be hard in a party. Was before 1.05, too.

My solo Potd cipher dumped PER too. These days I'm not so sure if it was perfect, but I survived the entire game except Adra, so it wasn't too bad. Be sure to grab double retal to get endless focus for free.

What has that to do with 1.05.?

I personally prefer the ranger to the rogue, too. But Exoduss you are not really "explaining" this the right way, you just sound like a ****. Not at all saying you are one, but you won't convince somebody the way you argue.

How do I keep a Rangers pet alive? You don't, It will die eventually. You arer better off with a rogue.

I know what you mean, but as pedroelm said it's often redundant because of lacking END pool.

Better to have something op on the pala than everybody complaining how weak it is. Also everybody has something more or less op, even though nerfed the petrify debuffs from priest and wizard are still crazy.

While I agree about the 2 MIG bit, I don't agree about the deflection part. You can have high might and max def on PC paladins or even non PC fighters. Paladin also would have high saves.

There is also a generic buckler with exactly the same ability but available to all classes ( I got it somwhere in Endless Paths). Furthermore those two stack so with a paladin(tank) and a chanter(tank) it was quite a nice duo. EDIT: just checked the name of buckler: "Little Savior", You must be trolling "somewhere in the endless paths". After you beat the adra dragon you already beat the toughest enemy in the game, what does it matter what item he drops? The outworn buckler can be bought in GILDED VALE.

Have you used the console before? Just look up the abilityname in the forlder data assetbundles prefabs objectbundles. For TS it is indeed transcendentsuffering 4. Sure your char is just called player? When I search for my charname via console its always way more complicated than just player.

Ok...I was thinking more along the lines of Holy Avenger... So the paladin needs items from BG2, while everybody else has items from BG MINUS 1? :D

In terms of DPS a 2H fighter will definitely lose to a DW rogue but the fighter will require much less microI believe in terms of damage output a 2H fighter should be comparable to a 2H pally. My pally highest crit was 76 so the DPS is actually quite decent. Fighter can definitely do more damage than pally. That being said my pally did 150, animancer boots be praised. ;p Jolting touch eh...heh
