  1. One requires a Paladin though right? EDIT: not that that's a bad thing, I love Paladins, just checking. he 2nd one is not for paladins only, but you need to defeat Adra Dragon to get it.
  2. Even tho I'm German, I'm not a grammar nazi, I meant Dragon's. Also even tho he wrote both in his first post I could only read about how he tried to kill alpine with mnaced deflection, so I pointed out he maxed the wrong defense.^^
  3. Adra dragon's base attack targets deflection. But yeah, you are right you can get away with less deflection, as in comparison to breath and wing-slam attacks, it's melee damage is negligible (60-80 grazes before DR). I've killed adra dragon at level 11, with story companions. Without killing the adds first, charming/confusing/dominating the dragon. But I have paralized her twice, when needed time to revive and heal-up my companions. But with custom companions, and good execution, I suppose she could be slain as early as level 9 or even 8. (Without cc'ing her completely/pre-killing the adds) I thought this was about the alpine dragon?
  4. I'm always mad at this game for iumproving the paladin more and more, so such a slight nerf isn't even worth thinking about. I took my solo paladin which who I beat ver 2.03 and gave him two hirelings for company to have an easier time beating 3.01. (Loaded a save previous to fighting Thaos) Now I found the executioners hood and am mad how much that improves a solo paladin again, endurance on kills (Sacred Immolation...) and accuracy bonus on enemy misses, lol. I think henever I solo this game paladin will taunt me to pick it a 3rd time.
  5. I'm assuming you watched the Duke's assassination? Because after that you ahve to visit Twin Elms once, to get back to Defiance Bay.
  6. Main problem for mre than 2 melees will, as pointed out before, the bad pathing. If you don't mind microing the actual movement of your chars (I personally hate that), than 4 melees are super viable.
  7. Hahaha, nice thread and project. I have to agree, Thaos will be impossible, at least upscaled Thaos will be. probably would have picked a rogue because shadowing beyond, but ranger seems good too.
  8. Oh I think Zealous charge paladin does fairly well, too.^^
  9. I experienced, that the AI is not as great as everybody praises it. If you keep squishies in stealth and wait till all melees engage, there is only one type of melee enemy that will engage them, monks (or whatever they are) with that leaping attack. (where they kinda fall down from the sky ) Tested this with a party of 3 and 2 melee + one squishy cipher (3 con and res) and sometimes it's ridicoulus how close the cipher is to a huge mob of different melees and not get engaged. In that Bleak Walker quest of WM 2 I even had to watch the bleak walker disengage to cast healing chain and then run back and engage my paladin again...
  10. Idk if anyone said that yet, buuuut NONE of the dragons attacks target deflection. With my solo paladin I actually respecced for less deflection and max Ref + Fort. If you get blinded or dazed remove that and don't get flanked or kill flankers quickly. Use boots of stability and ring of Thorns. (edit: and the belt for +3 con and helmet with +3 MI) If you ahve a party you might be able to do this at level 10 but since your wizard is 11 already you should be good.
  11. Well, any sort of retaliation item would be a big help. I don't see barbs being all that good as abduction victims, because their forte isn't 1v1 combat. OTOH, 1v1 is where monks shine. However all this is kinda moot since the biggest problem facing any wraith abduction victim is being dazed (and possibly daze-locked) by the wraith, thus allowing the wraith to pummel the victim freely (barring the aforementioned retaliation items). Um, pala?
  12. I don'tthink this option was available, back when I tested the mod. Sounds interesting, but if tthe mod is unusable with WM 2...
  13. As probably the only person who was involved in it that is actually still active on this forum I have to ask.... What did you dislike about it so much? It was very modular, you could use as many, or as few, of it it's features as you wanted. All I used was the autosave functions, the fast sneak, and the UI (go fig). I did not dislike it I don't need any of the features. Most of them amke the game easier and it's already to easy.
  14. Barbarian should max PE, before it got buffed barbarians complained about low accuracy.
  15. Yeah old areas seem to respawn, the Battery map is just way smaller now, so there's only 1 Ingot (and 2 from a quest.)
  16. Also to note is that the dragon has Sneak Attacks and Deathblows. Eder is not the best choice if you actually want to tank the dragon. Respeccing a PC paladin is pretty awesome here, since the dragon does not target deflection at all.
  17. I only used IEMod once after PoE first released and never again. The only mod I would be interested in, doesn't exist which is an SCS like AI Mod. If the enemy AI used consumables and spells just a little more intelligent I would enjoy playing with a party much more.
  18. Just have a paladin tank it and you don't need cheesy strats.^^
  19. Yeah these days my strategy would be different too. I wasn't really used to being able to respec and also didn't want to abuse the feature too much.
  20. Thx a lot, I haven't been using Galaxy for long, now I can finally play.
  21. I apologize in advance if this has been posted already. I bought WM 2 yesterday and was a little surprised that I only seemed to get Ver 3.0 (GoG Galaxy). The ingame title screen changed to PoE White March with snow in the back and all, but it said WM 2 is NOT installed. I went ingame, created 2 companions to acompany my solo paladin but the only quest I got, was a stronghold quest. Also I don't get xp for my maxed out paladin (14) but I'm sure I read you can get 15 in WM 2.
