  1. I hope this isn't too much of a spoiler, b ut after the ogres there isn't too many spots down there, that require higher level. It's just quite tedious at some points, but don't worry there will be points where you will need higher level to "comfortably" clear them, if you do those before going on with the main quest, big props to you.^^ Already did. Well except the last floor. Then I guess you have reached the only spot that truly either requires a higher level or a big amount of cheese.^^ Gtz.^^

  3. The endless paths will only be interesting the first time you blind pt through them. But tbh isn't that true for all the game? As to the loot there's also drawn in spring, but to get it you need to progress to the level before the Sprit of Od Nua, which is one level above the Adra dragon. I always ignore the paths until I have enough AoE power to just smash thru the mobs fast, all those xaurips blights, spirits, undead, animats and what not annoy me without end, when I just singletarget them.
  4. As to resolve, I'm one of the few "power gamers" that really like pumping this stat, but I totally see why you wouldn't need it. As far as melees go I just see no compensation for minimizing Res I never lack attribute points since I mostly minimize dex and con which are super useless to me. For casters and ranged chars it's different I never put points into res here. It's no fun being interrupted as caster but at the end of the day this is not Baldur's Gate, where you get poisoned and will never cast again until you're dead, lol.
  5. Thank you very much! And what do you think of powers and talents? Most important/most useful? Or all powers is situational? Two of the most awesome cipher powers sadly only work with summons on a solo run, Ecto Echo and Amplified Wave. The best solo powers are: Level 1 Antipathetic Field Whispers of Treason Mind Wave Level 2 Mental Binding Mind Blades Psychovampiric Shield Level 3: Puppet Master Soul Ignition Whatever (Echo if u wanna rest often and use a lot of summons) Level 4 Silent Scream (awesome since buff) Mind Lance Body Attunement (kinda meh) Level 5 Borrowed Instinct Ring Leader Detonate Level 6 Take Disintegrate (awesome for dragons and other high dr tagrets)and Mind Plague first, but theres only 3 powers on 6 so you get them all, you also get all 7 and 8 powers but they are kinda meh for solo.
  6. You mean Ultimate TCS? Possible, yes but very time consuming since you will need to figure out strategies before every fight. So you either need multiple runs (not really recommended) or a non TCS save on the side. Melee is the obvious choice. I would go moonlike. As to the stats you will have to adjust those via respec quite a lot but I guess at least 10 Res (maybe even maxed for trashmobs fights), maxed PER and INT, DEX at the beginning of the game higher, later when you have Durgan it can be 10. Other stats at your discretion but if I would play this build I would go high Con early and later redistribute to might, since even tho MI is kinda useless for melee attack cuz soul whip it's still very good for spells. (Per and IN more important for spells tho.)
  7. So I just went ingame and it only ticks every 3 seconds, that's only 335 on average in 30 secs. I guess I never let the phrases stack on itself, since I mixed dragon trashed with the damage shield chant.
  8. 27-40 per tick. Pretty sure the tick is every second in this case. Had to reload an old save so I'm not entirely sure since my new save is klnda far away from level 13. edit: i can jump into a fight on the save to check for sure a lil later.
  9. The dps is lower, no need for science, lol. Chants have the problem of not being active all the time you have these phases where you don't chant which lower the dps significantly. Also don't forget the tick for the 40 damage ea on the chant happens a lot less, than the tick for SA, which basically ticks every second. Maybe upscaled Ogres have a too high DR vs fire, also SA is not good vs fire resistant enemies, but there is only 3 types of relevant enemies this is true for and they are also immune to the fire part of the chant. If you compare the situations where the chant is more useful than SA and other way around, SA is more useful most times. I had a chanter and paladin side by side for wm2 and I was surprised how bad the chant is lategame. The main selling point for dragons is the level 9 availability and ofc if you have more than one chanter and stack it for maximum of cheese. edit: forgot your point about longer duration. As long as you don't solo maxed INT Immolation lasts for the duration of 90% of the fights, since the rest of your party also does damage.
  10. Should work even better with a Dragon Trashed Chanter. Faith and Conviction is not that relevent when you get +100 defense. Dragon slashed is less good than immolation.
  11. That might actually make the priest the better choice than the chanter in a party of 3, but oh well I hate Durance anyway.^^ In a party of 6 that's pretty insane 240= untouchable.
  12. It does but it's not super effective in a party of 3. Kaylon made a thread a while ago with party of 6 and one paladin for the sole purpose of being prone. On the other hand I will think about this, since sacred immolation still works on prone and is the main damage source for pala anyway. I just don't really think you need all that defense, since the damage chant already reduces damage to bare minimum and a party of 3 obviously deals a lot more damage than a solo pala.^^
  13. I don't think the question was, whether you could use any attributes to your benefit (which no doubt you could) but which are the most benificial.
  14. I think most people will agree that perception, Intellect and Might are the most important stats ingame for almost any class. If we look at a tank, we might think he doesn't need Accuracy, he doesn't need Perception. But since it also boosts your relflex it's not a solely offensive stat in the first place. And since for example paladins who are the best tanks, get Sacred immolation with level 13 which is an AoE with great power, they highly benefit from having less in a weaker stat like Constiitution and more in Perception. If we look at a purely melee class we might think, needs no Intellect, than there's plenty melees who straight up benefit from Intellect like barbarians, rogues, and others who benefit more "behind the scenes" like fighters which doesn't make the benefits any less. If we look at might it will be hard in the first place to find somebody who doesn't ebnefit greatly of this stat, maybe ciphers with their soul whip, but might also benefits their spells, maybe a pure buff priest, but those miss out on damage like a paladin without SA. Less good stats are Con, only good for fort def, but the health factor is very unimportant in this game. Dexterity, looks good on paper but gets less viable the more you progress into the game, you can dual wield with no recovery with 10 dex ... Resolve, helps a tank to reach max defenses but 8 Res more or less only matters if you solo.
  15. So a while ago I decided to fully test out the ciphers defensive mindweb and since I like parties of 3 characters, combine it with a chanter that has damage redux chant and a paladin obviously with maxed defenses. If anyone is interested, I started a tutorial how to get this party to the needed levels and went into Act 2 yesterday. Going with Kana and GM instead of hirelings, will go for hirelings once PC is level 16. Up till now my uploading was kinda irregular cause of Dark Souls 3 and Street Fighter V but from now on I should upload more often. Heres the link to the first vid: (https://youtu.be/PtNBOFSRMKw?list=PLzscMCQ3321uDtjan2jm_3waeIt0ZCMDO)
  16. On level 10 you can do all bounties except Nalrend. Even Nalrend might be possible but last time I soloed I was too scared of him and waited till SI which admittedly made the fight too easy. :D I just looked up my old footage of my youtube solo run and I was exactly level 10, when I did bounties. It was the first time I played a completionist pt and first time I did all bounties solo, so my strategies were not ideal and the videos lengthy, but maybe they are still interesting to you: edit: For those not being able to view the embed: https://youtu.be/OGSOAXxajmA
  17. The outworn buckler is much better, larder door is utter ****, because you lose accuracy with large shield and bash is a **** ability. The summoning horn is not that good, but if you're new to soloing it might help you. Be aware it only lasts 20 seconds. In the stronghold you want to build botanic garden and curio shop first you get free ingredients in your chest every few days and potions are super strong for soloing.
  18. In my opinion Druid is best for that, since we somehow need to obtain this lvl 13 Lol, no. Idk about druid, but getting to level 13 solo paladin is super easy.
