Could you perhaps help me out with a pally-tank build for Pallegina with the spread MaxQuest suggested earlier (18/16/4/13/20/10) or even a different spread? I mean talent and ability-wise. as there is sooo much to choose from . For instance, is it worth going for wrath of the five suns as tank? 10 RES is not a tank. You can play as Boroer suggested (post above me) with those stats. In a full party stats matter less anyway. If you want to go full tank just go wit the stat distribution I posted earlier in this thread and for talents take all the defensive ones that boost deflection first, thern go wit the ones that boost your other def stats. As for abilities you can go: FoD (or LoH if you hate potions), Zealous Focus, Lib Exhortation, Aegis of Loyalty, Righteous Soul, Sacred Immolation. Be sure to respec for max InT on SA.

Allright, thanks for the input. I guess I'll stick to the composition as it is. Do you have a better suggestion for stat allocation and build for pallytank? I thought this was as tanky as it got, even if reflex gets gimped somewhat. Is there a way to take less damage with a different build? I agree completely on the tediousness of resting, which is why I wondered if I was doing it inefficiently. I wasn't aware of the buckler, I mostly skimmed through the videos as they are a tad slow and there are so many. I'll go check if I can find it now. Are large shields generally bad, even if my tanks have low dmg output anyway? Fire godlike is crap, take Wild Orlan. You don't need 20 Int before level 13 you can even dump it before 13. I always max Per and Res, dump dex and Int, put whatevers left in Mi and Con. At level 13 you exchange Int for Con, so you dump Con, heal up after fights with ital essence potions (before fight stops), and obviously the reason for this is Sacrd Immolation. You ask whether damage output matters for a "tank" but there is always enough stat points to have plenty of per and the outworn buckler is much better than any large shield cuz it also buffs the defense of your party. You said in videos you always only see endgear, if it's not too tedious for you you can watch my solo and trio runs, where you always see the gear from the start: and

So you're saying bounties are even more late game than dragons? But thanks for confirming my point while denying it. :D I'll gladly repeat myself and try to say it more clearly this time. Per has more IMPACT than dex. It doesn't matter whether you can do with less in the lategame, just cause you have gained more ACC through leveling. This is MUCH more true for dex, since you have gained durgan refined among other things. But ACC is so important because of hit and miss. And as your example with dragons shows this is not only so in lowlevel. Soloing is a much better example than having a party and being buffed by a priest, let's try to remember we wanted to see the impact a single stat has and that's much easier to see if less factors blur the impact of our stat choice.

Guys... Ofc you can "get away" with a lot of things in this game. If you wanna see how valuable Per is compared to Dex, just do the following challenge: Create a paladin and start a new game. Kill Calisca before you do any fights, even the wolves. Kill the wolves and Glanfarthans who ambush you all solo. Do this a) with a paladin that has 3 dex and maxed per b) same guyx but maxed dex and 3 per Tell me how it goes.

Unbroken is pretty much a waste, Unbending might be better (don't really like either). 2nd chance doesn't really work when you solo, most times you die if you miscalclated a fight and will only die again after unbroken procs. Theres rare cases when only one (dangerous) enemy is left standing and maybe severely wounded, but most times that's wishful thinking.

The problem with drinking potions is not getting interrupted and has nothing to do with Dex. Of course it has something to do with DEX. When you are able to sip the potion more quickly the chance of getting interrupted is decreasing - this is especially important if you fight enemies with high interrupt values but slow attacks, like Ogres. RES also helps a lot of course. If you can just shrug off the hit without being interrupted you can sip your potion more quickly - but with more DEX there's a chance that the enimation is finished before you even get hit. So - if drinking potions while standing in the centre of battle is your thing and you want to be the best at it ( ) you need both high RES and DEX. I have exprience with this because I recently tried to kill Ogre mobs just with Battle Forged and potions of Flame Shield (pimped by Turning Wheel and Scion of Flame). It works by the way. I didn't say dex doesn't help vs interrupts. Interrupts are a joke in this game (from enenmy side, different story from player side) and don't really stop you from drinking potions. (Yes you might get delayed for half a frame, who cares ) And as I also stated this has nothing to do with Alacrity potions to begin with, you drink these at combat start, depending on the fight before you even are close to the enemies. (After aggroing via range) And believe me drinking potions is only a pain because of that annoying bug, so if anyone knows how I can get rid of the inventory icon and have my potions on my ability bar any help would be appreciated.

Is Clear out still per Rest as the wiki states? If it is it's pretty ****. Critical defense is quite good, since you solo you take a lot of attacks so 20% is not bad and it works not only for crits (which rarely should happen) but also for hits. Haven't really played WM fighter so I don't really know those abilities but they all look real meh to me I guess CHarge coulb be good if it's per encounter but doesn't seem super essential.
