The problem with drinking potions is not getting interrupted and has nothing to do with Dex, the problem with drinking potions is the stupid day 1 PoE bug which still didn't get fixed, where you keep autoattacking, even tho auto attack isn't even switched on instead of drinking the damn potion. I got killed by that so many times but it's only annoying for healing potions, since you chuck all your buff potions before you even attack. Does anyone btw know how I disable that useless icon on my ability bar so my pocket slot is spammable again and I don't have to click on the icon everytime the AI ****ed my potion? Why would that be the question? PER is a much better stat than DEX and Might lol.

You can do every quest solo with paladin. I did it on normal. After you reach Level 13 you can skill sacred immolation and that does really much damage. In the beginning you don`t need high INT, only after you reach level 13, so you have to respec at an INN. You can dump dex / per to about 6 or 7 i would say, so that you keep your might / int and resolve high, because deflection is really important to not get hit. Don't drop PER, lol it makes sure your Sacred Immolation hits. Constitution is a much better dumpstat.

1. Look for posts/videos about pacifist runs to find how to finish the game with minimal fighting 2. You can avoid combat completely or you can tank and kill them even in potd if you're well equiped (plate armor, rymrgrand mantle, ring of minor protection/deflection, worn buckler, fulvano's boots, gauntlets of accuracy, whispers of yenwood) - high fortitude/deflection will avoid perma stun 3. With a pacifist run is doable - someone on the forum did it in potd (however he used a rogue to be able to avoid a few fights) 4. being revived counts as ko As to 2nd. you can also use Fan of Flames scrolls, wizards double potions and the summoning figurine. It's possible without those on PotD and much more so on easy, but with those it will yet be easier.

As to beating Act 1 specifically with cipher. Sneak into Caed Nua Hall. With maxed sneak you can sneak to the door in the hall with the stewart. If you train your timing you can do the following with sugar for movement bonus: As soon as dialogue with steward breaks your stealth position yourself in a corner next to the throne, so that when you summon the figurine you can't get hit by the phantoms and stunned. With a little more practice (praise the savescumlord) you can position the figurine in a way that you can spam wall of flame scrolls without instantly killing your own figurine with them. If your perception is maxed and you got accuracy +5 gauntlets from Raedrics + Stalkers Torc from another random loot location you can easily kill the phantoms before your summon dies. I did that back in the day when there was no perception for accuracy and I had no random loot table to help me out for accuracy gauntlets (didn't get them until very late in the game, lol.) so now it should be a cakewalk.

Exactly! But attack animation isN#t as short as you think. If you dump DEX to 3 with 0 recovery you will still be fast but you will feel a big difference compared to higher DEX and tehrefore shorter attack animation. And also: try to cast a spell, use a slo ability, read a scroll or drink a potion with 3 DEX. Dex is mostly for drinking potions I would mostly have it on 10, except for tanks ofc you can have it on 3 there.^^

I hope this isn't too much of a spoiler, b ut after the ogres there isn't too many spots down there, that require higher level. It's just quite tedious at some points, but don't worry there will be points where you will need higher level to "comfortably" clear them, if you do those before going on with the main quest, big props to you.^^ Already did. Well except the last floor. Then I guess you have reached the only spot that truly either requires a higher level or a big amount of cheese.^^ Gtz.^^

The endless paths will only be interesting the first time you blind pt through them. But tbh isn't that true for all the game? As to the loot there's also drawn in spring, but to get it you need to progress to the level before the Sprit of Od Nua, which is one level above the Adra dragon. I always ignore the paths until I have enough AoE power to just smash thru the mobs fast, all those xaurips blights, spirits, undead, animats and what not annoy me without end, when I just singletarget them.

As to resolve, I'm one of the few "power gamers" that really like pumping this stat, but I totally see why you wouldn't need it. As far as melees go I just see no compensation for minimizing Res I never lack attribute points since I mostly minimize dex and con which are super useless to me. For casters and ranged chars it's different I never put points into res here. It's no fun being interrupted as caster but at the end of the day this is not Baldur's Gate, where you get poisoned and will never cast again until you're dead, lol.

Thank you very much! And what do you think of powers and talents? Most important/most useful? Or all powers is situational? Two of the most awesome cipher powers sadly only work with summons on a solo run, Ecto Echo and Amplified Wave. The best solo powers are: Level 1 Antipathetic Field Whispers of Treason Mind Wave Level 2 Mental Binding Mind Blades Psychovampiric Shield Level 3: Puppet Master Soul Ignition Whatever (Echo if u wanna rest often and use a lot of summons) Level 4 Silent Scream (awesome since buff) Mind Lance Body Attunement (kinda meh) Level 5 Borrowed Instinct Ring Leader Detonate Level 6 Take Disintegrate (awesome for dragons and other high dr tagrets)and Mind Plague first, but theres only 3 powers on 6 so you get them all, you also get all 7 and 8 powers but they are kinda meh for solo.

You mean Ultimate TCS? Possible, yes but very time consuming since you will need to figure out strategies before every fight. So you either need multiple runs (not really recommended) or a non TCS save on the side. Melee is the obvious choice. I would go moonlike. As to the stats you will have to adjust those via respec quite a lot but I guess at least 10 Res (maybe even maxed for trashmobs fights), maxed PER and INT, DEX at the beginning of the game higher, later when you have Durgan it can be 10. Other stats at your discretion but if I would play this build I would go high Con early and later redistribute to might, since even tho MI is kinda useless for melee attack cuz soul whip it's still very good for spells. (Per and IN more important for spells tho.)
