You should really use rng tables if you don't want to miss some good items which can make your solo experience less painfull. Also once your stronghold is fully upgraded you can rest until Azurro shows up with Hiro's Mantle go directly to Durgan's battery to get Garodh's Chorus (with retaliation) and St. Ydwen's Redeemer (later you can add another retaliate from Surra's Supper Plate) which will increase your offensive power. Dandy Hat, Trollhide belt, rings of protection/deflection +9 can be aquired really fast in ch.2 and you're good to go until lv13. Use draining weapons (Gaun's Share, Oidhreacht) until you get your hands on Drawn in Spring.

Armor and shield are really simple - plate and Worn Shield from Gilded Vale. At lv4 (you need lv7 mechanics to open the door to the throne room) you can go to Raedric's Hold get Gauntlets of Accuracy, Gloves of Manipulation and Boots of Stability without fighting (look for the guide with the days when these items appear). Rings of Deflection/Protection, then Blunting Belt and for neck depending on the foes - Rymrgrand's Mantle vs spirits, Rotward Amulet vs spiders/guls, Spellward Amulet vs casters and Torc of Falcon's Eyes vs rest... Weapons with +ACC are nice at the beginning until you get Gaun's Share and of course on the second slot The Disappoiner (fine) for opening fights with Flames of Devotion. For the head you can obtain Hermit's Cap rather easily too. If you play on PotD you really need max resolve, perception and might. Personally I like having also very high constitution because it helps resisting stuns/prones. PS. Forgot to mention the figurine from the smith which can help for some tough fights.

Ok, I just saw your fight against Thaos. I had also plenty of bugs during this fight (besides perma invisibility one) - if I switch weapons or if I'm interrupted by a push/prone during the drinking animation my character becomes unresponsive... Now a few comments about the strategy: - I used Aru-Brekr mainly for the defense vs ranged attacks which works vs Cleansing Flame; a better choice would be defense against spells but it's bugged in my game (you could even use both and have more freedom with the other stats...); also brigandines offer the next best DR to crush/slash after plate. - missile reflection from durgan/Golden Scales is useless in this fight because it reflects only grazes/hits; grazes are already reflected by the Aila Braccia and you don't want Thaos to be able to hit you at all... - Aila Braccia is good for 2 reasons - it converts ALL missiles grazes to misses and reflects the grazes back; the first reason is the most important because it works like +35 defense vs missiles - it allows you to reach 100% defense vs Cleansing Flame and 35% chance to reflect it back - with the Unstoppable talent, Boots of Stability, potion of Llengrat, 22dex and 26per you're immune to the prone of the Judge even without shield if he doesn't have his buff (here comes Deprive the Unworthy) - if you're able to hit the judge without interruption you can destroy the judge before Deprive the Unworthy wears off 9 times of 10 - you should keep 1 Deprive the Unworthy vs Thaos necause his Cleansing Flame can pass your defenses if he was buffed by the Judge - ideally you should kill the Judge first - that way you avoid fighting a buffed Thaos.

I wouldn't use it as main weapon, but vs vessels it's too good to not use it. Didn't know about the Flames of Devotion bug, but it doesn't bother me too much because I use it mostly at the start of the fight with a ranged weapon...

Good news for paladins/barbarians/fighters - second chance counts as revival during combat and thus you can fully upgrade St. Ydwen's Redeemer even when you play solo. However I still find this requirement pretty stupid because if you're playing a Trial of Iron game your main character won't be able to fully upgrade it...

It's very situational: Best weapon in the game vs. Vessels; ok against everyone else. I usually always have a guy bound to it in the party, and I always unlock all levels, because it's so useful in the final fight (it helps that it looks badass too) Not so situational, there are many tough fights involving vessels especially in WM - (adra) animats, durgan's battery mobs, forge guardians, fampyrs, darguls, death guards, Concelhaut... To unlock the last level will be tough for a solo however - I wonder if second chance counts as being revived...

Flanked, fatigued, no boots of stability, no rymrgrand mantle... the rng gods love you. My strategy was for common people.

Paladin tank, fighter tank and barbarian 2H in the front, chanter with bow using summons and 2 rangers in the back. The barbarian with increased survability from fighter/paladin/chanter will be your first AoE damage. Chanter and paladin can add later even more AoE damage. Pets and summons will ensure that nothing will bother rangers/chanter.

It was a graze too, but grazes are converted to misses and reflected (you can see how it works when I show the logs for the first one).

I updated the video (unfortunatelly I can't edit the links in the first post anymore) of the last fight using this time Aila Braccia and St. Ydwen's Redeemer (stole the idea from AndreaColombo ). I was a bit lucky with the Cleansing Flame reflections however it felt good destroying Thaos... https://youtu.be/sKSHWKRjtZY

Hi Kaylon, can you confirm what you mean by the second paragraph here? As in, if a character is dual wielding without any other speed buffs and has two weapon style, does he get .2+.2 (for each weapon) modded to his recovery? No, it means that the speed bonuses you have on your left weapon will stack with your other speed bonuses.

[v3.00.929 PX1-Steam] Swift Aim's reload buff surpresses Sure-Handed Ila
Kaylon replied to Boeroer's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
It stacked before 2.0, it doesn't stack in 2.03 either.
