It has been told numerous time to you people who are new to real games , this is how its supposed to be , you get no warnings this is RP game you lick Dozen boots and a proper Faction thinks you are a complete scumbag and deserve your place with dozens , end of story , dont do quests for Rioters in a capital City rly guys. On a sidenote whenever you reach something this major in CRPG game ( Defiance Bay ) dont rush to do any quests , do it properly steal everything everywhere without doing any tasks to nobody and when you are done stealing you will have a slight idea of whats going on , or ofc you can do first quest you get and cry later for geting locked in with Dozens , and another thing imo if you are not being cautious and finding whats going on first you are no way worth to become merciless hand for doemel

I dunno talking about Budget where games gets KickStarted i mean KS is nice and such but companies now rely only on KS to get the game done , it used to be on my days that company had to invest their own money into production of the game so they did it as good as they could so they get paid off from selling their game . not this kind of we get 2 Mill we add a castelz we get 3 mill we add a dungeonz we get 1 mill and we pull of an eric cartman to you ... What i mean is after such generous KS , company like Obsidian (oh we know u guys arent broke ok) could invest some more of their own money and deliver perfect game , but now its just u get what u donate for and nothing else . this Risk Free is very bad model of business it is bad for gaming business in general , also you could say that KS brought us alot of games that we wouldnt have seen otherwise but look at Wasteland 2 or Dead State games , they came out unfinished and are still there even after half of year , if company invested their own cash into a game it would come out at much better states then they are now , not even talking about Early Access stuff where you have to be either plain retarded or pay from parents wallet to actually pay for game that is in early Access and most likely will be there for 5 years or so

Hmmm on POTD i usually do it like this : Get Stronghold , dont do endless paths go to defiance bay( I do most of the easy quests and loot the whole place) , after defiance go back to endless paths do first 2 levels ( 2nd Level has best tanking weapon early game for free its a rapier with guarding in a secret stash near the pit) then go to Dyrwood , after Dyrwood i come back and do two more levels , then i finish most of defiance bay stuff and do level 5-6 before going to raedrics hold after that it depends what items my party need etc , lvl 3 of endless paths is my favorite because this is first place on POTD where my party gets to fight several huge enemies that hit hard and are mean fckers , instead of fighting huge groups of trash mobs

Wizards dont do guns bros okay.... they dont ... unless your wizard has 0 spells left to cast there is always a better choice from range than to fire a gun , be it a Slicken or Confusion or Fireball or Expose Weakness anyting just not a single target gun shot thats just fail to do with wizard when you can spend that time to knock 10 enemies down all at once , why would you fire 1 shot with a gun instead of this mass CC ?

The way i implement interrupts to my strategy is with Ranged characters(Marksmans be it rengo rogue or cipher doesnt matter) having high perception they are the only ones who can react fast enough to shoot that mage while he is casting , also ranged builds doesnt benefit much from other stats than Might and Dex so you can max Perception alongside and not loose anyting much

You serious here? This is exactly the problem: you can quicker justify any class besides Paladin. Paladin can res, Chanter can AOE res ad infinium, or use the chant points to do something else amazing. While Paladin gets the one res that provides that weird endurance debuff, Chanter can continue to res with enough time and can res AOE multiple people. Chanter constantly provides buffs that other classes cannot, such as faster reload speed and a burning weapon effect similar to Flames of Devotion, except for the whole squad. Why bring a Paladin over a Chanter is the real question. Ask around dude, Chanter is going to be in most people's top three or top four favorite classes. Please, seriously, go look at the list of all the buffs a Chanter can provide and then come here and tell me with a straight face that a Paladin's buffs are better. And Devotions of the Faithful definitely does buff spell accuracy. Saw a guy whose entire strategy for PoTD was to buff the hell out of his Wizard's accuracy, specifically by combining Eldrich Aim and Devotions of the Faithful alongside one more buff iirc (probably the Priest's crit buff). Just AOE crit everything that way thanks to the +35 accuracy total, alongside the Might bonus for extra damage. Even if, for the sake of argument, this were not the case, that would not change that the range on Paladin buff zones is horrendous and you can hardly guarentee to be within range of the Wiz all the time. We know when you talk bull**** when : Endurance Buffs become weird

3 teleporting shades is close to that , solo play tests cheese to its limits nothing to do with actual class NOTHING , no wizard will be played like solo character in proper party and again ill repeat solo is biggest cancer devs could add to this game , and they did it , inject their own creation with cancer how fcked up that is
-
Solo wizard on potd is not a thing any1 should care so is anything else you cheated with for solo potd runs , solo is not a legit thing to look up at when building your character , **** all solo scrubs try to solo this without obsidian lamp , cant stand anymore every thread getimg invaded by : Solo potd this works this not , Obsidian Lamp wins solo potd not your builds , all people seem to spam here is solo builds that is not even a part of normal PoE
-
Solo builds always include deep pockets and other utility talents , use of scrolls , pots , figurines and major kiting , if you thought you can go and play normal rogue with backstab build as solo you got it wrong , solo play is neither fun or interesting it is tedious hard work for internet points nothing else , this game is not made to solo meanwhile its possible you have to adjust greatly to do that , and backstab is just not gona cut it

Atm playing with 1 Ranger Gunner ( quick switch build) and 1 Ranged Rogue ( Crit build not orlan tho ) in my team , damn the burst even on PoTD i can always choose 1 enemy who dies before fight starts and 1 who will die runing to us , just need to micromanage those switches for two to five characters also i rely heavy with my party on using guns and arbalests for a pull Both front liners uses Arquebus because of the range , priest ranger and rogue uses arbalests and only wizard has no gun because he always has some aoe debuffs to land early in a fight , after the pull i swap arquebuses to sword and shield for tanks , and ranger and rogue swaps theey arbalests for proper weapons ( guns for ranger and borresaine for rogue) , priest on the other hand never Lets his arbalest go due to how awesome reload+spellcasting works there is no point to switch for him , So for a proper fight i would switch guns 7-8 times for one battle that takes alot of microing and most fights are not worth it even on path , but the tougher fights can be made easy this way

Guys seriously... why you even discuss reload speed in this thread? please explain? this topic clearly is about quick switching and whole point of quick switch is TO NOT RELOAD , and by the time you gona start reloading in a fight it will be almost over with just few last mobs left either small adds or a tougher one that needs finishing , and for that you need weapon with magical reload speeds like forgiveness or holdwall , also dexterity discussion is pointless there is nothing better than Might and Dext for thease builds and actually when you max Might and Dex you can just leave other points spare they wont make huge impact to your game tbh ( some int might be nice but not a must ) , so even tho dex doesnt affect reload speed ( which we clearly dont care about with quick switch build ) it is still a must stat to max for both ranger and rogue , it decreases your quick switch and recovery time , with proper dexterity , quick switch and without armor you can fire blunderbusses faster than bow's just saying (moving gives huge penalty for recovery speed with ranged tho try to avoid that ) Edit : another note i dont think its worth to pass rogue's talents for this build while building ranger you get 0 yes and i am not even joking 0 good talents ( on the other hand ranger skills compliment the build alot ) so this build is way to go for a ranger and might be done on rogue for some AC4 flavor.. :D

also, people forget that all characters can use scrolls in this game. putting a few points in lore will allow your dps fighter to buff himself with some rather excellent spells, and you want those spells to have decent duration. by and large though, i think the reason a lot of people forgo scrolls is because overall combat is not that difficult. at the moment, anyway. future patches or mods might change that. fan of flames scroll on 3 frontliners when engaging is triplewin on POTD almost as good as 3 figurines popped for like 10 summons

You need 3 actually and 1 Fast reload gunner weapon like arbalest after firing 3 blunderbusses you can keep smacking from arbalest with fair speed if you have gunner also a chanter could help here too, for the early game equipment : dissapointer+fine and fine pistol from sea cave in compass combined with any xbow or arbalest will do , and after caed nua u can get as many blunderbuss as you need , most annoying thing for me is the fact that if you move a bit then your wait time between shots increases unless you get shot on the run talent , but this is avoidable if you position yourself well untill you get the talent at the very end or if you are fine without it and rely on positioning Quick Switch , Arms Bearer , Gunner , Penetrating Shot , Envenomed Strike , Shot on the Run would be my final build i think 3 best blunderbusses , and something like hold wall for weapons , Armor that has 0% recovery penalty , potion if you need to kite due to lack of talents . Island Aumaua is a must here tho because of the racial and +2 might so you can get 21 might . Reason to build this on ranger because you get like 0 good ranger talents so yeh ....
-
I play this build on my rangers all the time due to vicious aim marked pray and stuff like accuracy from pets , Island Aumaua , Quick Switch at lvl 2 , at lvl 4 arms bearer talent and onto blunderbuss hunt get 3 and 1 weapon with increased reload like holdwall or forgiveness and then gunner at lvl 6 , also maxed might from aumaua helps alot and dexterity affects all the speeds that are included in this playstyle(Except reload one i think but you dont reload much after firing 3 blunderbusses and 1 arbalest )

Thanks dude. Why int? just for a sec more on knockdown? is it realy worth it? wouldnt you dump it? I dont intend to 6man but i do intend to 420 the way through After Might and Dex it doesnt really matter , it depends on what you want more : Int : AoE+Duration+Will on some skills ( this is minor for fighter except Will is good stat for a frontliner vs charm ) or some Perception for Interrupt Mainly and some minor defenses , it would be viable to choose one of those and max it keeping the other one low You should keep some resolve any way for a front liner . What i like in PoE that after maxing 2 main stats for your class you still got some room to adjust your character in one way or another to make it the way you would enjoy it the most

So Speaking about wizards i recently played some PoTD with one in a group this trial of iron run ended in the lighthouse rofl :D ( damn lighthouses in rpg games , always bad news if you need to check one , beat it twice on ironman potd and here you go third time...) i felt my wizard lacking because most of his aoe needed him to get up close to deliver the damage and when he got close he just died miserably and lighthosue mess didnt help him either was the first one to die , i am pretty sure now that i was building him wrong , this time i am going for more of a battlemage approach with all the wizard spells that gives him defenses as priority Using a shield with some draining weapon early , focusing more on crowd control , debuffing and tankiness than glasscanon aoe nuker , also i am thinking to choose 1 damage type ( either corrode or fire ) and boosting it with talents so i could be relevant atleast at that one damage type , tho when thinking about attributes build still keeping maxed might and intelect

For a fighter who wants to do dps i would defo go Human + Max Might+Max Dex spread rest trough percept/resolve/int as you like keep CoN at 10 or 8 or w/e lower than 10 ofc, i ran 2 PoTD playtroughs with 10 CoN Chanter/Pala maintanks and never had a problem with that so looking that this is hard and your guy isnt even a main tank 8-10 con is max you should put , especialy when you can put up to +5 con trough various items / food / enchants if you feel the need to meanwhile leveling up , also secret about hardmode with 6 man party is : its a faceroll most of the fights you will Auto Attack mobs while lighting your spliff
