  1. Currently in a way PoE Pathfinding and Engagement works there is no enjoyable and reliable way to play Melee , you spend more time fighting game mechanics ( or lack of them ) than concentrating on a fight , and if there were any hard fights in this game thats is not what you would like to do , as for now PoTD posses no challenge for any1 who runs 6 people party so you can find time to micromanage how your melee guy repositions from place x to place Y , imagine if fights were actually hard and punishing for your mistakes ? melee would be completely out of the picture.
  2. I see Bow and Arquabus mentioned in the guide , thease are 2 weapons you should never use on ranger EVER!
  3. Meanwhile traps are not as common as scrolls you are not forced into using scrolls even if you play fighter , with high mechanics and stealth you can use traps instead of scrolls and never forget : Petrify comes in traps not in scrolls Basicly as long as you got 3 Gaze of Adragan Traps with you , no fight is scary !
  4. You people are taking a wrong approach think like this : Dozens this is where you are supposed to be for your first playtrough unless you go out of the way and get rewarded for that . Also Dozens wont tell you anything because : they are pretty much common scumbag graverobers and nothing more
  5. abbreviations are fine anybody who show interest in this game and its forums will recognize what TC is
  6. This . First Post answered everything there is in this discussion . If you put a Hunting Bow on ranger cuz it feels right , well they are gimped then and your character does negative damages. Put a bow on ranged rogue with right Talents , Skills and Items and you got yourself Highest and most reliable DPS build in this game . Shocking News : gotta know what you doin
  7. Use a bow for rogue , not a hunting bow but a warbow - Fast attacks more crits ! rogue is all about crits . You will do more dps with Warbow than with Switching weapons that works for rogue only because of the skills and talents like dirty/vicious fighting , deep wounds and etc , on the other hand ranger is quite the opposite you never want a ranger with bow and you always want him to have atleast 3 fire arms . This is proven points in this game , if for some reason you want rogue using guns then Blunderbuss is way superior for first 3 switches and after that just use anything that has reload speed increased .
  8. jeesus you kids nowdays are so butthurt ,"civil" roflmao u even know what that means ... get lost
  9. has nothing to do with guns either use arbalest if you dont like guns just not a bow
  10. theory crafting something that is prooven to be garbage ( bows on ranger and animal companion talents like defensive bond ) is a waste of time , as its clear that pillars can be completed with any party with any builds or even without a party so if you prefer bows there is noone to stop you , another issue would be bringing it up to the forums and then denying any advice and sticking to bows seems like wasted 44 posts and a thread . /thread
  11. You can buy the trap from defiance bay vendor every time you rest in the Inn , and mage can cast it like normal spell , yes its an insta win
  12. I am thinking that 3 Con MainTank PC Paladin with good racial on POTD would do just fine in terms of never getting knocked out , and then maxing might along with Perception Int and Resolve would be Ultimate Build , also with ton of might you could look into Kind Wayfarer talents for some Healing Power , might consider this in future
  13. Well Lead Splitter is unique and best in slot....... so ye you are right
  14. 10/10 almost Exactly How i Play mine PC Pale Elf Paladin Maxed Perception Int and Resolve Kept Might and Con at 10~ and both seems to do no good because i dont need any health after lvl 5-6 and my healing is null so id rather have more might , went darcozzi for accuracy buff . Also Hold the Line at lvl 2 seems to be the key to Paladin tanking also as soon as available getting weapon with +guarding ( One is at end of endless path lvl 2 and another in defiance bay first weapon vendor. It is easy to get 100++ deflection mid game and forget about damage
  15. First point about weapon groups is invalid because : 3 Blunderbuss is 1 Weapon group as far as i remember , Forgiveness Pistol with reload speed is same weapon group secondly LeadSplitter + Exceptional From Doemenel House + 1 More exceptional you make yourself is NOT MUCH this is like 1 hour of easy quests in act 2. third : unless you use a cipher marksman and a ranger in 1 team , nobody needs blunderbusses . Blunderbuss is the key You can equip your non marksman characters with Arbalests ( They get prone and 12m range so way better than blunderbuss for some1 who doesnt focus on being marksman ) Your tanks Should use Arquabus'es for alpha strike anyway due to them being in front and arquabus having 10 meter range My Team Currently uses : 3 BlunderBuss 1 Pistol (Ranger) 2 Arbalests ( Ranger Rogue and Priest 1 Each ) 1 WarBow ( Ranged Rogue ) 2 Arquabus ( Both Tanks ) Wizard is only one who doesnt use guns because his spells has 12 m range anyway Every fight has an epic start because 2 adds just die Also to note : when you get used to switch weapon sets it doesnt feel that bad anymore and then every time you pause to swap weapon you think of something to do with other chars = micromanagement training over 9k
  16. Yes i agree Only reason i got those is because with fukin warbow it can take 3~ shots to finish those 25% on POTD unless you crit or something , and this on random add like ogre/drake not even a boss
  17. Cmon ! THINK :D Finishing Blows = Level 5 DeathBlows - 11 also i think rogue had Bloody Slaughter too not only Finishing Blows so damage multiplyer went crazy this was done with lvl 7 party with paladin pc lvl 8 i think because rogue had exceptional boressaine . Number 180 looked so out of place tbh even wizardlizard with 25 might + 20% burn damage talent doesnt get those numbers yet .
  18. Only good thing about them is to Finishing Blow "Dweller" for 180 demiurg
  19. There is item with healing 1.2 i think it was a blet i found in last playtrough nowhere to be seen in current one , think it was somewhere in Dyrford Crossing Ruins/Cave
  20. They are here so that Kind Wayfarer MoonGodlike Paladin Healer would be a thing !
  21. Yes tbh if you want typical oldschool marksman , rogue is defo way to go , Ranger requires alot of creativity and thinking out of the window to pull proper numbers to be atleast even with the rogue
  22. Animal Pelts , Horns , Talons etc etc are just for flavor i guess and are generally trash items sell them
  23. I am actually trying to get lvl cap before act 3 starts at current playtrough , i definetly would enjoy playing my max level party for as long as i can instead of still putting points into builds at the last battle of the game...
  24. Dialogue's for 2nd Level Dispositions are clearly scripted to show up in Act 2 anyway , so there is no rush ,
  25. Shh... :D "Rangers with Bow" crew doesnt even care if it works because if somebody is fine with hunting bow's damage on ranger he must not care much anyway Sidenote : Fire Arms are meant to be SWITCHED In battle , for fck sake does it even make sense to reload 17th century firearm in the heat of the battle ? NO But it is always a decent tactic to have 2-3 of them so you can fire them without reloading Do you even Black Flag ;/ Even Weapon Speciality Ruffian suggests you to try some Pirate builds :D
